What a ride! Chapeau, Mr Gill. You've really got what it takes. And ... your motorcycle ... must have been a hunter in an other world-one deer and it starts to jump. ;)
You really put that 890 through some tuff stuff on this ride! I had to laugh when you saw the deer and ended up on a rock! I had just watched a Charles Stanley video this morning titled "Living By God's Guidance" and what happens when we don't listen to him and focus on his word. As soon as you took your eyes off the path, you ended up on a rock! Bring on some more adventure, safe travels Brock! 😀
If it’s too muddy we’ll turn around. What in the world is you’re definition of too muddy??? That was crazy mud!!! Kudos to both of you for powering through it!! Excellent adventure!!!
I came from the Moab side in September and there were a number of sections of road work where they just dug the hell out of the road and left it soft. I don't recall this specific section (maybe because I was descending or maybe they'd not mangled it at that time)... but the Moab area through to Silverton was absolute the best section of the TAT, super fun riding (I was on a 701 so quite a bit lighter).
That is a lot of machine for mud. Well done!! I miss that part of the country, I used to spend a lot of time up there. (I'd have been the guy in shorts on the dual sport with the fishing pole)
I agree. He could have made it. But we probably would have pushed him thru one section. It got deep. He didn’t wanna risk it. I respect it. So much fun. I’m ready for more.
Boy that little 4 mile A loop you took at the top of la sal pass worked you over!! Thats just a tune up for whats coming on the west side of green river if you stay off the green route.
Hey. I have a black dog cycle works skid plate. And it’s perfect ! Thanks for the comment. Thanks for watching. Lemme know how you like the 890. It’s pretty sweet
Big adventure bikes and mud isn't any fun at all. Had a GSA and mud was the kryptonite, followed by sand. Now have an 890 and although better is still a heavy bike when it comes to slippery low traction mud and the stock TKC 80s don't help.
@@MotoMission. Yeah it sits exactly in the middle of the GSA and KTM 500 I traded for it. Doesn't do long distance, two up like the BMW and doesn't do off road like the 500 but it is pretty competent at both and a much better daily than either of those bikes. If only I had a bigger garage lol
love the content but its really inconsiderate to go down a road thats closed, people may be trying to restore it and causing ruts is not gonna help that.
I enjoy the Bible verses bro! Praise God Thank you Jesus.
Glad to hear that. Hope it encourages people

Haha. Yeah. You got it
Just found your videos! Awesome content. Most people may not understand how hard it is to ride the big bikes on this type of stuff. Good stuff!
Hey! Yep. I grew up on dirt bikes. Big bikes are a whole new animal. But I’m loving it. Passionate about adventure. Thanks for saying hello.
Stayed at Two Step too on the way to Sargents where I met you. Knarley ride, love the Aspens too.
2 step is the best !

Ha. Exactly !

Haha. Full send !
In Arkansas, never believe a Road Closed sign. Sometimes they have fixed the road but didn’t get around to taking the sign down. 😹😹🤠🤠
Haha. That’s great.
“I looked at the deer…”. 😂🦌
I like to look at deer. Haha
Tasty little critters
I knew Utah would not disappoint. Thanks for showing this part of Utah, most videos only show the red rocks. Looking forward to your next video
Yes. Utah has so much to offer. So diverse. Much more coming

The 701! That’s a cool bike. Yeah we had several spots that were problematic. But we made it. Moab is a fav spot for me. Love that place. Be back soon
nice video work, nice riding, nice scenery .I like!
Thank you. It’s such a blast too do this. Thanks for watching.
My wife and I think it’s wonderful that you quote scripture
I am so happy to hear that.
That is a lot of machine for mud. Well done!! I miss that part of the country, I used to spend a lot of time up there. (I'd have been the guy in shorts on the dual sport with the fishing pole)
Can you believe that guy? Haha
Teach a man to fish, and he shall find a way no matter how mud he has to ride through.🙂 (Not meant to butcher scripture)
I’m thinking GSA Dave could have made it depending on his tires. He’s been riding that beast everywhere making it look “easy”. Good job to you all.
I agree. He could have made it. But we probably would have pushed him thru one section. It got deep. He didn’t wanna risk it. I respect it. So much fun. I’m ready for more.

Yep. No joke ! I didn’t realize Utah mid could be so nasty.
What’s next blew my mind
Very entertaining Brock
huge thanks
Thought for the day....."Would Itchy Boots Do It??" Nice Video
I’ve wondered that many times. :)
My best adventures rides have been on closed and posted as unpassable roads! 😀
Haha. I can agree with that.
Mud looked like a single track 6 feet wide...😂😂
Nasty stuff
Oh that rocky section, were you seated or standing?
Standing. Always stand. Unless I get lazy. :)
Good job fellas.
Thank you. We did all we could do.
Great video. Next month I am trading in my 2020 790R for a brand new 2023 890R. Which skid plate are you using on your 890?
Hey. I have a black dog cycle works skid plate. And it’s perfect ! Thanks for the comment. Thanks for watching. Lemme know how you like the 890. It’s pretty sweet
Looks like fun
The best stories are not the road was smooth and flat.... Nope more like it was all chewed up!
Yep. Bring on the adventure

You are absolutely right. I never like mud. Not even in my dirt bikes. I am happy to avoid mud when at all possible. It’s safer to stay away
But. Glad to hear you have an 890. Such a cool bike !
@@MotoMission. Used to be ok with mud runs but like you I'll avoid it if I can. To much word to clean and maintain the bike and gear lol

Haha. Yeah. Bigger garage and more time to ride them. I’m with ya.
We need to do La Sal on the Harleys.
Heck ya. It’s amazing
Great videos. Are you running the stock TKC 80 tires on your 890?
Thanks. I switched over to motoz rallz and am super happy
Which tracks did you use? The official Sam ones or gps kevin ? Curious
We actually had both.
We favored kevin’s on the first few days and when the tracks split in Utah we stayed on Sam. I think it was a great choice.
love the content but its really inconsiderate to go down a road thats closed, people may be trying to restore it and causing ruts is not gonna help that.
You are right about that.
What drone do you use bud?
I have been using the mini pro 3 by DJI. I keep a couple of those on hand at all times. If I crash it I grab the other and keep going.
@@MotoMission. Thanks :)
Yes sir. Any time
Que bonitos paisajes
Si El mejor
So do you adjust the tire pressures based on conditions?
Rarely. Why?
1. In a hurry
2. Lazy
3. I forget.
:)
And on tubeless , cannot air down very much or it go flat quickly. My 901 is tubeless I assume the 890 is also. 😀
Nice views, OMG
Epic scenery around there. I wanna go back asap
