- Potash road and Shaffer trail thru Canyonlands near Island In The Sky is my favorite place to ride and see the canyon. It’s easy to get to and absolutely breathtaking. The views are incredible!

My fear of heights kicked in just from watching this video!! Yikes!! Gorgeous, but scary!!!
Such a strange world for someone like me that’s never been out that way! Absolutely, stunningly beautiful!! Thank you for taking the time to put up the drone!!
I’m thrilled that you are joining the adventure. It truly is stunning as you cross the USA. Doesn’t matter which way you go you will find epic beauty.
Doing a great job with this channel. I see this blowing up. Keep up the good work.
James. Thanks for saying that. We are working hard. Thanks for watching.
I almost laughed when I said “working”.
Wow, I really enjoyed your adventure. The views are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
What a damn ride that was another world up there.
Haha. Yep. I love that place
Just rode this the other day with my son and a friend. Fantastic. We did it with 900 Tigers. You are right. Best place to be.
Right on!
it was nice to meet you guy!!! Enjoy your trip
I’ve been watching you on Instagram. Let me know if you go east
Wow! Great, great filming! And on top of that you have a very enjoyable, friendly way of commenting too. Thanks for your superb work and for sharing those stunningly beautiful views. Lucky me just found your channel-at random. So come on RUclips, get him more prominent! Whatever. Sure thing I subscribed immediately. I don't like to binge-watch, but with your videos I'm really kind of forced to change habits.
I travelled your amazing United States of America 1985, 1987, 1990, 2011 and 2014 criss-cross. But always in a car. Becoming a pensioner I got myself a Ténéré 700 one year ago. After 38 years of motorbike intermission I passed some offroad training courses and I already booked some more for 2024. And of course I'm dreaming … to get that Ténéré in a crate … and the crate in a plane …
Hey hey. So happy to hear it. Thanks for the kind words. I would love to see that tenere riding over here in the states. Come on !!!
Another great video Brock
Seriously stoked to hear that. This is a new thing for me. Still learning
Just found your channel. Great stuff. Subscribed
Thanks Morten. Hope you enjoy it. We have some fun stuff coming
Amazing drone footage too. I meant to comment. You want to stay away from the edges of the cliffs, especially on a heavy machine. Only 1" down or so, the infamous Moab "red mud" is often wet. You hit the brakes and the bike/truck can keep sliding. Most locals know this.
Good advice. Wow. That’s scary.
We were just in Moab, Utah in September last year. Went through Canyon lands and saw the roads down below. Wondered how do you get to that? Awesome views everywhere and. Nice and to relive from your perspective. Never thought I could love rocks so much. Weirdly wonderful! God’s awesome handiwork!! Thanks for the videos. Well done.
Yeah such a cool place. I go every year to Moab. It’s a fav.
Good Stuff.
Thank you. Thanks for watching. Much more coming.
I never get tired of seeing stuff from this area. It's like you are on another planet, just awesome. Hope I get to ride it one day! Love the thumbnail pic but lifting something that big will absolutely ruin your lower back!!! 😀
That’s why my back hurts. :)
Stunning video footage! I was scared for you on those wet cliff edges!!
It was grippy enough for us. We didn’t feel unsafe. But it was a long wayyyy down !
It looked liked you guys were on the white rim trail.
Yep. I love the white rim
@@MotoMission. I did it last Oct on a mtn bike. The whole thing.
A mountain bike ?!?!?! Wow
Hey I went to Moab. Did you go on the route from dead horse point? Pot ash road? It was the best road we took when we were there.
I’ve been there before. It’s greeeaaat
I guess you haven't been out to Chicken Corners or H*lls Revenge and Long Canyon yet. They are all quite epic as well.
I have not done all of Moab yet. I always run out of time ! But I will be back very soon Let’s ride.
@@MotoMission. Ha- people have lived in MOAB for 10 years and not done all of them. It is a half million acres in size...but it sure is fun trying. I've been 6 times and discover new things each trip.
I’m on a mission to explore those. Haha. Maybe will cross paths
@@MotoMission. You are well on your way my friend. Not many people can say they explored Shafer Trail. It is an epic trail. In addition to the two I suggested, you can also camp overnight on the White Rim Trail. You access it on the left, before the switchback area on Shafer Trail. Also, when you go UP Shafer Trail, it is fun to then come DOWN Long Canyon (or vice versa.) I've been to Telluride too- great area. We skied it though and it was amazing. Big mountains.
I did the entire white rim by myself. Not realizing how dangerous that was. A few years ago. I survived it. Was epic
Is this part of the TAT or did you take a diversion?
I believe we were in the tat that day. However. We had to dodge some rain and closed roads in Utah and made some detours.
dude!!...you have HUGE Giblets riding that close to the edge!!! lol 😦
Haha. I live on the edge. I can’t help it. It’s my nature.
I had a bunch of great routes planned for a noob ADV rider like me, including Chicken Corners, but I made the mistake of going too late into the season in 2022 (middle of June), and it was too hot, but the worst was...in the 95-100deg heat, I wasn't feeling well because I'd been battling what I thought was a cold for the last few days (hardly any sleep), and after the ride from the Moab side thru John Brown canyon to Gateway, I was beat. Rode back to my hotel in Monticello UT and went to the hospital (they have no urgicare) and tested positive for The Kung Flu. So, I had to cut my vacation short, sadly (although because of the Kung Flu I was able to easily cancel all my hotel reservations), and rode the 300mi home the next day. DEFINITELY want to get out there again and finally do those routes I had planned! I figure on the plus side, it'll give me a year to get more practice in so I'll at least be a little better at it.
Sorry to hear that. But i know that you are gonna have an epic ride when you return… i love that place. Take me with you
