As an explorer from Elite Dangerous this is the game I was hoping for. I love Elite Dangerous I heard that the developer is also a elite dangerous fan too. I like this.
I'm coming from Pulsar, hoping this game is a much more refined, suped up version of that. Between the different jobs of crew members, the proposal of different ships, the tech upgrades, and even possible combat in the future, it looks like it could be great.
Nice coverage - I saw Dan streaming his word document creation and had to chuckle, it just felt like I was watching myself work on a technical design doc. Also with your new "1/4 impulse and head out of dock" sign off you need the scene from Galaxy Quest to be playing along with embarrassing scraping sounds :)
As a first time crowdfunding backer, starship simulator really caught my attention. I got into elite some 2 years into its lifecycle and have been saddened by its changes and current state
I swear if the Buurs made a video on how to watch paint dry or watch a kettle boil, they would still somehow make it look amazing and engaging. I'd watch it 🙂 Very excited about Starship Simulator and proud to be a backer.
Love the dream but if id gotten 100$ every time ive heard a cool space game thats going to do everything then never releases id be the founder of star citizen
Starship Simulator doesn’t really sound like the game I’m looking for, but the features sound great, the dev team approach sounds fantastic, and I love me a VR. I’ll be following and maybe I’ll love it for all that it is.

Native VR was the first stretch goal they hit and should be in one of the dev builds pretty soon.

If helldivers 2 had ship to ship combat and visit the planets on when they are at peace , I will not need a space game sim anymore.
Will I be able to use a ships prefix code to order It to lower its shields 🤔
