Just beautiful. Nostalgic. Melacholic. Romantic. Has it all and more. . .I just can't put all the words to it right now.
Seeing Gilad live by chance in NYC was like a turning point in my life. If anybody doesnt have splitlife yet, go buy it! You will love it.
Love the TONE of that Howard Roberts! BEST music in the world to fall asleep to. Every line is a new melody!
Yeah lines tend to be melodies 😅
make it your business to see this guy live, what he's after is what everyone who says they play jazz should be after..this cats playing is DEEP...and he plays with the best guys in town (ari hoenig, joe martin, jeff ballard, the cohens etc.)
HEKSELMAN= EXCELLENT+++ Gilad, I saw you lve in Kalamata, so wonderful!! I wish you well!!
Beautiful playing from everyone! And melodic too, my favorite type of player! Bravo
Gilad is wonderful, very tasty soulful styling and maturity beyond his years, I love how he compliments his playing in the higher register with lines and chordal fragments in the lower register. cliff in tokyo
Just heard Gilad today at North Square in the West Village. Terrific! I looked him up online and will spread the word
I just want to say one word!! Great!! congratulations!
Wooow I'm in love with this guy!!! good musician and soooooo terribly handsome!!! kisses to him!!!
by far the most beautiful version of this ive ever heard.
Tariqh Akoni just recommended you on Facebook. Well-deserved.
Beautiful playing. Thank you!
Me encanta esta versión! Es tan clara y de tan buen gusto!
Lovely playing by all three.
Beautifully played, simply Superb!
Regards,
R~
Beautiful FILM!!
Beautiful. Love this tune as well.... but the playing ... very special.
That's very good. I'd like to see more of your videos.
I just picked up a red Gibson Howard Roberts; partially because I love the way Gilad's sounds.
Great sound. I love the bluesy licks he plays.
Absolutamente espectacular su música.!!!!
i love ittttt!!
Get to see him live very soon. :DDDDDDDDDDD
You play beautifully !! & you're very handsome too
I consider two things listening to jazz players: would I A)buy their CD? and B) pay to see them live? in Gilad's case, YESSSSS!!!!
Superb
Killin'
when i hear him i want take my guitare and try to play like that !! just try because it's not possible he is too great !!!
the beauty and the best! (Ellington)
Its a Vintage Gibson Howard Roberts Signature guitar, Epiphone(then owend by Gibson) also made it at some point. Gibson still produce it but its a different design now.
So now we know how to bring jazz to the mainstream..
I guess I should start working out more now.
Gilad is great! 5:06-5:09 = Beauty and the Beast!!! --> Fantastic Soloending!
yes!
Wow..........Bravi!!
very nice
Holy Shit I own that same guitar. I payed $800.00 for it in 1980. I freind of mine got one used same time for $350.00. They sell on ebay for about $1500.00. Proof you don't need a high end guitar to get a great sound. It is the player and the amp.
Damnit he took all of the classy talent and masculine of the world
argghhh!! muy bueno.
get more videos of him, hes one of my favorite guitarists along with metheny, montgomery, scofield, and rosenwinkel
I love this clip, but is so quiet, can someone redo the sound and post it again, pls! One of the best jazz guitar clips on YT!;)
@HendrixcommaMartin - It's an old Gibson Howard Roberts guitar
Fantastic.I'm gonna go practice some more....
good
Nice. Recalls the MJQ approach.
Man, this guy must get sooo much action. handsome AND talented. if he's also a 1337 hacker, i give up ever getting laid.
4:38 HELLYEAH
2:39 looks at bass player like "bro wtf was dat"
that tapping ang the counter melody is fresh adition to jazz sound, nice Gilad!! h what gauge of strings do you use? gracias!!
Wow.. he obviously has a great harmonic understanding. I feel ashamed to have my guitar videos on the same youtube that he does......ouch... its too good..
@BoomFunkyPanda 27 or 28 now
@aaronlebos what did he show you in the lesson?
@2AMbandRI what did he show you in the lesson?
Steph Curry on the bass.
Don't knock the rhythmn section. The drummer is super-hot too! Check out Ferenc Nemeth.
...sutil...
didn't know Ryan Reynolds was this good!
if you play along with the bass, he actually played the changes. He wasn't that outside really.
*drools
He looks like a young Christoph Waltz
didn't really dig the completely abstract bass solo- And i get that its extremely difficult to pull that off. But man, that guitarist is goin' places, ya know?
*****
0:49 he looks like ben aflec with a mustache
the lick at 3:57 is so fucking dirty
@Obswalq hahahaha
Very nice
