I have been in love with repousse sterling silver since the beginning of my young adult life (I have an exquisite Alt Heidelberg Silver Service and Kirk’s Repousse flatware to name some of my fav collections) but especially exquisite detailed work, like the baroque and gothic epochs make my soul sore. I really wanted to find a masterful video with some excellent techniques detailed out so I can better edify the student-jeweler in me , and that is EXACTLY what I got. Seriously, thank you so much! This is so well done. I really appreciate a video when someone’s not droning on the whole damn time.

Thanks, To completely remove the pitch, they burn the residue with the flame. The thickness depends on the type of work and the plans that we have to create. The holes has want the customer, to get us through the chain, without having outer rings
Grazie, sono barrette di ferro che puoi trovare anche nei negozi tipo la BRIKO io uso quelle di misura 1x1 cm e 0,5x0,5 cm, normalmente sono lunghe un metro e poi le tagli nella misura che sei più comodo. In punta ricavi le sagome che ti servono per il lavoro come vedi nel video.
Drakkarit shan poly clay wouldnt hold it to well in place. Pitch is a much stronger resin that has to be heated in order to be malleable, poly clay is easy to manipulate(least when not shelved for a year, like mine has, lol)

how much did that piece cost? It's labor intensive. and it's beautiful. But the screw, why don't you use soldier? The nuts can be loosen up.
A jewel like this costs about 1400 euro. I used the screws because they allow me to better refine the jewel, and facilitate any future repairs
