There are countless number of ways to watch Magnus playing the Lichess Titled Arena. However, there is only one person who can make you enjoy every single move and that person goes by the name Jerry 😘👍. Well done man. Impressive commentary as usual 😎👌
That was an insane sequence right there! Just when you thought he was about to get mated in the corner, he pulls out a rook sacrifice mate in 2! AMAZING! 👍😮
These have become my favorite chess videos that I look forward to every month. Pure calculative precision from Magnus and comedy relief from the commentary.
When I first discovered this channel, it was as a Magnus fanboy. I’m now also a Jerry fanboy. Maybe even more so. Wonderful commentary. ASMR, funny, insightful. When a video can make you smile or laugh when you are by yourself…that’s quality. I literally watch and rewatch 2 hour long RUclips videos.
Jerry is chess ASMR. Also, Jerry's laugh is so infectious. Also, when Jerry calls Penguin, "the slippery one", I always giggle. Also, we need more Jerrys in the world.
41:25 ..... What's the story with that move? 41:30 ..... Oo oo oo he's gonna get mated! 41:38 ..... Ohhuhu Wow! Does he have 9 lives or what?? 41:43 ..... OH MY GAAAAAD!! THIS GUY JUST GOT MATED! That 20 second window made me laugh more than I've laughed this whole year. I was in tears! Thank you, Jerry! - Tsunamiofpawns
@M a bad opening like carlsen is like throwing the game away and he manages to win it easily most of the time...remember he is playing against strong gms. So i think we can call it that Carlsen is playing at 60% of his strength.
Carlsen is simply amazing. The game progresses, until the slightest flaw is reasoning is made. Then Carlsen will rout out an opponent is seconds. An awesome display!!!
That game at 41:17 was EPIC! If I had a win like that I'd be going on about it for the rest of my life. To Carlsen, it's just another day at the office.
Jerry, You are adding another dimension to digital chess, by evoking the format with your magically potent, substantial speed commentary.. Something new. You should be honored by being hired, and paid. - And ascend chess.
Agadmator does not stream live with analyses and ideas regarding why a play is happening. This is something I really like about this channel. Not only you enjoy the show, but you learn from the live commentary a lot.
At 18:35 why did Magnus play Be7 instead of B5+ Nc6, BxNc6, KxBc6, a8Q+ KxBc5? Then it'd be queen vs bishop, and black's king is queenside and stoppable?
This is awesome. The problem is, though, the RUclips algorithm: When I start watching too many videos about chess, cooking, talented kid musicians, or whatever, then those things start filling my suggested videos, and I may miss out on important geopolitical news.
8:47 Jerry attempts to deliver mate with white's king! I am 2100 on lichess but haven't ever beaten Jerry. He always seems to remember which one is the queen and which is the king when we play! :(
I think there are tactics if he ignores recapture and goes knight g5. Bishop is hit and if moves queen f3 with mate threat and gets at least back the exchange. Think thats why black moved his bishop.
Half arrogant, half fun from Magnus to play these (inferior) b4/b5 and g4/g5 openings only to destroy the competition anyway. I had the impression he made it himself artificially more difficult so he wouldn't be totally bored.
24:50 When the déjà vu fades and you realize you've already seen this game, on another channel. 🔥❤ Chessbrah!!! (And yes I realised Jerry announced the names of the players, but I don't always know which games I've already had exposure to lol. - I remember watching him throw his knight in to assist with the mate, just in awe lol.)

51:42 srry but you messed it up here... If Queen takes than Nf4 doesn't win because of Rxg1+. The other winning move was simply Rxg6 winning a full rook :D
How do you guys think? Do we have to play chess from the youngest years to be greatest players or maybe people are able to catch up starting later than others?

The king walk game at 40:19 was INSANE. The ending combination was beautiful. That white king had no business being at that spot Haha
The hero we don't deserve.
Man you put alot of effort into this post more than most

@Jamie Ragan indeed he did 😂😂😂
Yes no doubt. I skip the live show itself just to wait for Jerry to upload the video himself.
You mean the penguin?
@Jamie Ragan Yes!!!!
41:35 This is what I signed up for :)
Wanted to go back and see that again, so thanks for pinning it

Those Lichess titled arenas should be renamed to "The Magnus Carlsen show"
Yeah 41:42 is when i decided i will keep on watching these tournaments for the rest of my life. Beautiful chess.
Thank you Jerry.

Top 3 Greatest Jerry moments of all time.
Mateesh Bhave sounds like he was starting to cry.
Unparalleled commentary on bullet - thank you. And 41:30 and the following 12 seconds is just amazing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole eight hours of this amazing two hour tournament!
8:01 Actual start of first Magnus game
Thanks!
This has been my favorite tournament to watch for some reason. I really like the Kano remark at the first game of Carlsen
I feel like Magnus is just toying with them 90% of the time, trying new tactics, never goes full potential. What a beast!!
@M a bad opening like carlsen is like throwing the game away and he manages to win it easily most of the time...remember he is playing against strong gms. So i think we can call it that Carlsen is playing at 60% of his strength.
@M It's ok u can think that way.
I wonder how many people are checking 1G4 with Stockfish right now)
This is dangerous man, don't try to mimic this line...
I loved Jerry playing tournaments on lichess but commenting this is even more exciting.. well done.. subscribed long time ago
So I fell asleep watching this and I didn’t even know I clicked this video. Thank you for helping me sleep with your soft voice uwu
Absolutely mind-blowing how Carlsen wins so easily with weird positions. I love his style of playing.
Carlsen is simply amazing. The game progresses, until the slightest flaw is reasoning is made. Then Carlsen will rout out an opponent is seconds. An awesome display!!!
For those who want more Magnus action he will be streaming today at 4pm CEST here on RUclips on the chess24 channel
This has been my opening for a few months ! Thanks for the video
Look forward to these every month. Great job Jerry!

Thank you
Thank you so much Jerry for the video :D
The quality of play between Andrew tang and magnus Carlsen is just unbelievable. Nothing else really compares to when these two play bullet
08:47 nice mate in 2 with k g2 :DDDD
Thomas Feinherb yeah 😂😂 the way Jerry was like wtf after Qg4
He thought the king was the queen for a minute there
Oh there was another Titled Arena! I swear one day I'll catch one of these live...
Yes!! This is what we've been waiting for!! Any full games upcoming as well? Loving the content man!
Always a happy suprise to find this series in my feed! Fun and soothing to listen to:)
"Remember that time when Carlsen checkmated his opponent with a king and pawn on his opponents kingside in the middle game?"
Please tell me that actually happened.

Everything nice and smart here, both game play and commentary:-) some of the games were astonishingly interesting. Thnx Jerry
41:30 this is pure wizardry!
41:40 was the craziest mate I’ve ever seen
Thanks for this Jerry.

Thanks, Jerry! wonderful spending time with you, as ususal.

I must say ChessBrah and Magnus are fking great games to watch
best chessvideos ever
Always a treat watching these.
These games wouldn't be the same without Jerry's commentary - top man!
This is the best chess I have ever seen in my life.

Yesss he did

Jerry: 4 passed pawns vs 1 Carlsen will have a loss here
Carlsen: hah

That mate with the king almost getting mated was insane
This is awesome. The problem is, though, the RUclips algorithm: When I start watching too many videos about chess, cooking, talented kid musicians, or whatever, then those things start filling my suggested videos, and I may miss out on important geopolitical news.
I listen to Jerry's soothing voice when I have a headache, always a good relief
Carlsen has to give everyone a head start.
Finished last evening with Jerry's video, now I start my morning with one? Hmmm :)
The game as 55:05 was unreal...
1st tournament on the site with the new layout. Awesome tournament. ggs all
I dont think I saw any commercials. Why is that?
How can I get a image of this chessboard with these colors whitout pieces?
For every one of these videos, I first read "Lichess Tilted Arena"
Never gets old!
The Kano reference was awesome

At 53:51, can't black take the knight on c3? And if white recaptures, Bd5 traps the queen?
I think there are tactics if he ignores recapture and goes knight g5. Bishop is hit and if moves queen f3 with mate threat and gets at least back the exchange. Think thats why black moved his bishop.
