    • Always Only Jesus
“Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal,” said Thomas Moore. But if that is true, why don’t we think more about heaven? Why do we only think and talk about heaven at funerals? How can the reality of our future home motivate our activities right now? If you were to think about your life in terms of chronology, how much time do you have left on earth? Let’s look at three categories of truth that will help us aim at heaven while we are living on earth.
This teaching is from the series Always Only Jesus with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

Thank you for this message. I really needed to hear "keep going." I am frustrated because God has been developing a Fear Ministry since 2018, and with so much fear in the air, I am surprised that only 1 door has opened this year. I am approaching individuals, organizations churches to assist anyone stuck in fear. It is difficult to keep going but I know I have to; that God is in the timing, the how to, and the "with whom." Thank you for your faithfulness. God bless you, family, and ministry!

I lead a Bible Talk every week at our house, and I try to pray for our group of mostly elderly folks, that we all will go to the same place when we pass…Heaven! I hope that most of them believe it in their minds and their hearts, however after our meeting, the conversations sometimes don’t match the topic of the meeting! We sometimes quickly lose our train of thought and head into the realm of darkness. The world pulls us into dark places and is not easily to avoid the mud holes. Human nature is what we all need to avoid.

Under our apostle Paul’s ministry, today we are only saved by BELIEVING The Gospel of Jesus Christ,1 st Corinthians Chapter 15 verse 1-4.Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.Jesus Christ Shed Blood is what saves you when you believe this plan of salvation with your heart.

Skip, I’m I weekly listener from PA. Your sermons hit home with me and I’ve learned so much from you. One question I can’t seem to get an answer on is if we are just a blip in time compared to eternity, why would god judge where we spend eternity based off the decisions we make in just a blip of time? Thanks for all you do skip and god bless you 🙏🏻

I think it's because we were not originally intended to die. "For the wages of sin is death". When Adam and Eve sinned, all flesh on earth began to experience death. There's more to it than that I'm sure. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say as well. I'm from PA too brother. Southwestern Pennsylvania. Things are falling in place. God bless you

I would like to ask Pastor how does he handle the fact that we are not going to spend eternity in heaven? According to the Bible be on the earth? A paradise with the meek inherit remember that part? Or is that not supposed to be literal in his mind? I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness, and that’s all they focus on, I no longer in that and I think they are wrong, but did you make a good point, the old testament and the new promises? The earth is mankind’s home. What is the biblical solution to this?

Pastor Skip, can I ask for clarity on something? You had said we will battle with the flesh until death OR the rapture of the church at some point around 17:20 or so- you don’t prescribe to the notion of there being “soul sleep” until the rapture right? Because the word sleep in the original languages just refers to physical death is what I figured. I thought we will be free of the flesh upon physical death itself and in heaven. Soul sleep seems to be a misinterpretation of language in the text, and not supported biblically. Or perhaps I am misunderstanding, and you meant that believers who live to experience the rapture will experience a subtraction of their fleshly nature in preparation for the tribulation to follow, but that those who are already dead in Christ will be in heaven without the difficulties of the flesh.

Should we pray outloud? I have a fear that satan will interfere with my prayers to the Lord. Can someone enlighten me?

Hi Kathie - Jesus said God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. So I believe that you can pray both inwardly in silence and outwardly in speech. There are many instances of Jesus and His disciples praying out loud - including Jesus Himself when He prayed the Lord’s prayer and outside the tomb of Lazarus. God is all knowing - His omniscience - and knows your thoughts so He also hears your silent prayers. Do not fear Satan or his demons - the Word of God is your sword and shield - pray boldly in the name of Jesus and they will flee from you. The Lord is your Shepherd in a world of wolves. God bless!

We are sealed in the Holy Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom and victory! Know that your prayers are answered according to Gods will for your life! And know that you will have a process to go through but we can’t give up because God has promises for us that satan can NoT stop he will try to hinder them but in Christ He is a defeated foe!
