Looks great. I like the matte colors, the yellow on his chest looks more similar to the bright green turtles rather than the tan of the previous dark green releases. I do hope there are enough hands and expressions to go around when you end up with all four turtles, it’s a really good looking set but I do miss the expressions from the disguise set. Great video, looking forward to seeing more!
I think once I get all four open there should be a nice variety of hands. And I’m pretty sure the matte matches the punk disguise turtles so I’ll definitely play around with them. I think the missing expressions will be the on going message from me that that is the only part holding these back. I do think they make up for it in accessories.
Holy crap that micro TMNT comforter set on that bed!! I used to have that back in the day when I was a kid!!! I completely forgot about it until I just saw it on your video, too cool man😂
Haha I did a video where I made a diorama inspired by the bedsheets. I made the micro sheets. Do you think that is something you’d want to see how to do it? It is fairly simple I just need to document the process.
Man, I have two of the Gargoyles. I haven’t opened yet. Thinking they are awesome but they will take up so much space. I’m all in on NECA Dinosaurs though
NECA sure knows how to market TMNT figures. The Burger King tapes got a lot of mileage in my house. The accessories really sold me on it. Definitely looks like it's worth the money.
Same here! They don’t make fast food promotions like they used to. I think we had most of those VHS tapes and they were a staple. NECA definitely knows how to hit those nostalgic strings. Super happy with overall purchase. Swappable expressions would have made these the best!
For those not in the know, there is actually a running change on the TID set with the turtles having a matte finish. I have one of each set, the matte ones being the clear winner. Just in case anyone wasn't aware.
They sure do know how to get us haha. One day I’ll sit and calculate how much just the toon line has cost in totality. I’m not sure I want to know haha. I love the thrill of the hunts, the ups and downs of finding everything or not, question why I’m driving from target to target haha but in the end it is just good fun and NECA is allowing such great opportunity for world building and I love that!

That’s good to know! Does the matte on TID match Pizza Club? Are the tones the same or a little different?
