8:36 Hey, it's the horses that eat people. The life steal effect is morbidly fitting.
Lots of great new mechanics. I love that they're adding more elements to the game.
14:16 I got you bro!
Amazing, stupendous, righteous, zealous or overzealous or zeal like qualities, any word form of excitement and Vigor! Hope some of these examples help expand your vocabulary. Amazing video!
Lmao, thank you thank you
why would they put a hunting tech in age 3? that's weird.
Yeah, but maps tend to have more huntables in them this time around(from what I've played and seen) so there could be nice meat to get in age 3. Remember that it also boost villager hit points so even if there is little to no hunt left it might still be good to have.
Man all these changes sound so awesome. They're really adding a mythic element to all facets of the game
Damn, most of those new techs - or even all?! - sound really cool and useful. Some seem definetly busted though. Titanomachy 😵😅
Love the aoe 2 soundtrack in the background 🤩
I do hope to see the Berserkers turn into bear-hybrid infantry when I research the Berserkgang tech as I was already happy to see the Hieracosphinx with the falcon head. Man, this game only lacks gryphons.
Giving the Lampades the ability to turn units into chickens sounds like something out of South Park
Nice video. Atlas had one of his techs changed from building armour(I believe it was against crush damage but not certain) to Destroyers get more Pierce armour. I always liked the concept of the Destroyers and though I would have wanted more hack armour I still am glad they get some buff.
Yes, that's what it did! I didn't include the tech because there's not some novel effect or mechanic happening there though. Tons of techs had statistical switch arounds like that one, although I'd say it's one of the more extreme examples
What is effect of horns of consecration from Rhea? It used to buff favor generation from town centers, now I pressume it has to do with oracles.
It enables TC's to produce favor. I don't know if it's at the same rate as before or not, but that's basically where the TC favor production went.
And yeah, Hera gives tech of free mermedons.
Scarbs damage numbers have been rebalanced to be more hack damage heavy with the same resultant damage to buildings
Kronos special thingy, the time shift, was made use of in the Atlantean campaign very nicely. Basically, unless changed, you can time shift a building in unreachable places, so melee units are completely unable to hit the building time shifted.
Keep up with the great content! +1 sub
You mention a video by Boyt(spelling?) that you recommend we watch, but I can't find any link
True, I meant to include something in the video there, but I was kinda rushed getting it out, I'll add Boit's video to the description
Very big bonuses are very nice! By the way where is the china? :////
The Chinese pantheon is being reworked and will be released in a DLC later on I believe
24:13 uh well no because oracles can’t attack.
I think they generate more favor when heroes maybe?
Hero Oracles can attack
@@swyte can they? I didn’t see anything saying that. I never played Atlantean much I will admit
@@SolitaryLark Yeah, normal oracles can’t do anything, but when you promote them to heroes they do have an attack :P
My conflicted feelings over Retold continue.
Atlantean Fanatics get so many cool new abilities meanwhile by bois Destroyers get nothing. ;(
Destroyers do get a buff from one of Atlas' techs! Giving them extra pierce armor. I didn't cover it in this video because it was just a stat buff, but they do get something
@@swyte Well, I guess it's better than nothing!
A bunch of cool effects! But the very last one seems totally anti-thematic. Lampades going from turning units into chaotic, enemy-to-everyone unowned units and spewing acid blood on enemies now turn people into... chickens. A bit sad to see such a cool unit become some meme/joke. Like I'm not saying that effect would be weak, it is just not appropriate.
Well no, I'd say it's quite appropriate, since the Lampades are associated with Hecate. They're likely witches, or at least devoted to witchcraft and magic, and turning people into animals definitely is something we all know witches do in Greek mythology (Circe). As for the effects, I'm pretty sure they still inflict chaos as their actual ability, this is a secondary one that they can get with the technology.
