I was hopeful for a moment because they’re not terrible units, you just have to make sure they don’t get slapped because they’re made of tissue paper. They’re kinda like mini versions of the Age IV Atlantean abomination units that puke acid. I can easily see them being used in defensive ambushes but raiding with them often means you will be just losing them lol They an easy question easy answer unit What will they do? Melt human units pretty quick. How do you deal with it? Just attack them if they’re in play they’re probably the army’s backbone early on. Now they just have mediocre barracks units.
Thought Ra was booming quite nicely, was ready to watch the Wadjets kick some ass with the improved slingers counteringing both TA and norse heroes which he didn't even have many of.. then that first fight, oh man. Trickled in so half his spearman got instakilled by TA before the ranged fired a shot, not microing the slingers so they attack the closest raiding cav, and committing to the fight with his frontline dead and flaming weapons up.. so much good work undone in seconds..
Jinzo is an iconic monster from Yu Gi Oh that was very powerful in competitive back in the day. It looks kind've like a tall man with an exposed brain and big goggles, a gasmask and huge claws.
Wadjet pulled their weight but they need the meat-shield in front. After the Egyptian player suicide-charged all his spears ahead, the rest didn't matter anymore
The problem with Egypt in high level ranked is simple - they don't have any fast Classical era human units. Sure, they got slingers that have range & damage with the right minor god. And they got fast myth units. But they lack a human unit for early warfare. They only get fast human units with a Migdol. Their inability to skirmish & raid early game without their myth units (that are also harder to get due to their favor generation) makes them tough to play in high level micro-heavy ranked. Spearmen help in countering some raids, but spearmen can't outrun any of the cav they're meant to counter so they can really only work defensively.
I have about 120 games now just as Ra and it’s interesting. They feel the most unforgiving compared to the other 3 pantheons… but they have some incredibly powerful openers that can completely uproot the opponent’s game plan. If the game goes on you make it to massing elephants fully upgraded w slingers and some myth units, you have a deathball that feels unstoppable, particularly w Ra’s food boom and health bonus to elephants. It’s a tough pantheon to work out for sure, but they are progressively coming up in win rate in the higher elo for a reason.
All the buffs in the world won't help if you don't micro your fights. Most of his spearmen were dead by the time his ranged mass fired a shot and when they did it was scattered across the raiding cav.. dunno why people charge in with spearmen, put them next to the slingers and protect them.. slingers have much longer range than TA, pick them off and keep moving away until the TA are dead. Egyptian can compete but they have to play better than that. If it's a struggle try Atlantean. Less eco management = more fight management
Spearmen can do some really good damage to Cav, but it just feels like they just fall over most of the time. Really feels like Egypt need access to camels to fight back against cav properly.
give spears slightly higher bonus damage vs cav imo. That way their base DPS is unchanged, so you still cant use em as mainline easily (as intended), but at least then you can get some reward for teching into age 2 counters. Force the enemy to adapt and not all in cav.
@@thembones1895 norse hirdman have like 4 or x5 against cav and eggy spearman what nothing, they just suck hard... also camels are nothing special just 2x, they need forever to take jarl with 300hp
Egyptians weren't this weak in Legacy. I blame the huge tower nerf. Their barracks units are good when fighting defensively until you get to the third age but with the tower nerfs you need to train even more troops to make up the difference which in turn delays your Heroic. You NEVER want to fight in the second age as Egyptians except as Set.
@FitzBro Short question for you. Can you play a Ra game with extrem focus of farms in the early game too became food with rain and sell it early to the market for gold or wood. And in Second age you increase you farm population with a second towncenter and go on with this? Or is this not worse to test ?
Hunt is free and faster to gather, farms cost gold, and selling at the market is less efficient that directly collecting the resources. In the early game you would essentially be operating your economy at like 50% which should doom you if your opponent is scouting and playing correctly. The only thing you'll do is crash the food market by making it pointless to sell and cheap to buy.
First 😀👊
Knew the wadjets would get stomped as soon as I saw them in the thumbnail and title lol

Wadjet always been good you just have to believe in the wadjet. #teamwadjet
Egypt is definitely the hardest to play. Pre-migdol is rough
Hey Fitz! Nice channel :D
Fitzbro from the future who will be casting a Ra win, sent me 😉

MythBro's Ra curse continues.
I want to love egypt just doesnt feel good, they buff the things they dont use and nerf the only things they had going for them

"they buff the things they dont use" - that's the way it should be, though.

Ra is legit super solid atm
Narrator: "They were not".

Through the fire and the flames
Ra has at 49% win rate on the ladder. I WANT TO SEE RA SUCCEEEEEEEEEED lol
How about roc can instant unload reload and or scared away enemy units that it flies over.
What is right click for pre que on xbox? (Is it auto que? I feel I've tried to pre que with auto que and it doesn't work)
Yo, just checked for a new vid and then got the notif that you posted 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Not just a Ra main, a Sobek main. The man has one build and he will accept no alternative lol
Jinzo is a classic yu-gi-oh card
I knew it was going to end up terribly for the Ra player when he wasted his shifting sands like that!
no wonder my RA rax spam against max difficult AI fails. It's because Ra is bad..... !
:D :D :D
The wadjets dragged down the whole army to snail pace. And did very little.
I mean anyone with eyes can see that Egypt needs buffs. How about any good god powers as a start?
Jinzo might be from Yu-Gi-Oh
Tip of the day:
