I was there ... ran into Billy in a roadside caffe and we had a chat over a coffee - he is the best!! Also talked to George .. R.I.P. He´s greatly missed.
I could walk 500 miles listening to that bass line, this song grooves. Wish I was there playing the drums, as long as I could do it justice like my hero Billy Cobham.lol
the groove is relentless it takes hold and wont releaseyou it enslaves you it is good ,nasty nasty this is musaclaying down the funk gauntlett thanks sip51 never heard this version heard Rtf
I don't think this is a return to forever composition .This track came for george dukes Illusions cd back in 1994 this is undoubtedly a george duke composition.
Just wish I learned to play the "drums" for my own self, instead of "imitating" the heroes so: Bill, Max, Buddy, Al, Terri, Bernard, Art, Elvin. I was a great imitator, but not a great "innovator" coming up. NOw I can devote my latter years to excellence and sensitivity on the drumset/trapparatus, etc. Be my own inspiration. Peace-dk
We lost a lot of FUN-K, JAZZ muscle... Miss you, George!
Absolutely extraordinary i am loving this entro! Man.............What an amazing amount of work this great man left for us!

It's amazing how many songs that include that little rift........LOL
George Duke!!!!!!
I agree. Nothing grooves like a walking bass line with a funk/hip hop beat in the drums. This is great.
All the musicians are good.
