I've been grinding the line and am currently at the Johan. For someone that plays a ton of Eugen and Hipper, the line feels like an upsized Eugen with airstrikes, no super high dpm but slowly accumulating impact over the course of a match. I've stuck to that mentality and the Gouden line feels so good to use and play.
Hey PQ, I was that Prinz Ruprecht you did 2, 15k salvos and 3 fires on early game. Well played, and nice positioning. Not used to dealing with airstrikes in this mode and you def maximized your position. See you again on the high seas for my revenge! :)
that was like THE best gL game, note near the end, enemy team says SAD WAY TO LOSE but potato did say if the kurfurst went the other way around the island he would be a sitting potato, sick sick game
had 2 ultra-close games in blimp mode the other day. the first we were behind on the blimp by to far to win so we needed to kill them all. we got them down to the last ship and our BB was going to ram their BB, but the game ended when he was about 10-20 meters short of impact. the next game came down to us only needing 3 more seconds for the blimp to get home, but the enemy still had 4 radar CAs left, and they caught our last living DD for the loss again. close games are more fun, but they can also be so painful. still 9 of 10 games only one team plays blimp mode, and the other team plays a backline camping randoms type game for the loss.
Goudeen Leeuw is my favorite tier X cruiser, i absolutely love airstrike, those strong guns, very good heal, good armor and also incredible AA, i absolutely love everything about that ship so a video like this is very pleasing
I've been absolutely dogging people in the YY. It's rough when you get chased down by a gunship DD or have to protect a flank without support but when you can get into position, it stops the enemy dead.
Was just about to say. I love using the radar version, no one expects it!
And now its UU got a buff so it's even more powerful.

jean Bart is pretty great in airship escort. A lot of broadside targets and the reload booster works great. and you can stick yourself next to an island bow in to a bunch of broadside targets
been enjoying this format a lot having been encouraged by you PQ. can you try henri iv (you’re canadian right so no excuse for poor french pronunciation well forgive the dutch…)… i’ve had some great gams with it esp flanking as per your advice and it’s high fire chance is insane. thanks for the vids.
lol that was me on that Musashi, I saw what coming with you sitting in the middle and I tried to push you out from their but my hp where low, and our dd did bad move on backing up on you, he could of run behind you, while you focused me. and gk was to slow. Good Game by the way
The Gud Glue is a decent cruiser
It has a fair bit of HP,armor is not bad,guns are mild but the quick heal and impressive AA makes it fun to play,and not tedious
I grinded from the cherbourg to the marseille in this game mode. She's pretty good, especially on this map, if you speed boost to the central islands at the start.
'Good'n Luuw' is fun to play, very well armored and fun to brawl with.

One thing I want to critique about this match is how long you let the Henri be holed up opposite you. A big strength of the airstrikes is to take advantage of dug-in targets and force them to either stay where they are at the cost of taking huge bursts of damage, or retreat from their position and be forced to keep their guns silent for a few minutes while they reposition. Rather than splitting your airstrikes between open water ships, taking down that Henri who was at near full health most of the match would have helped your team much better. Though outclassed nowadays, Henri still deals a lot of damage and that damage definitely contributed to some of your team in the south side dying.
Try a hybrid/secondary Shikishima with close quarters expert, AR, main gun reload. You get sub 20 second reload on Shiki guns man it's super fun in Airship Escort
Good video this will be my next line i go down tho i will be cautious about the line.
Been enjoying the Tromp in this mode and I'm not even a DD main, it feels good as a ship to push the Blimp with.
It is hard to take vids like this from CCs seriously when there is no enemy CV in the game. Played 31 games at T10 before I was in a no CV game. I'm on the Asian server. Asians love their CVs. BTW, I do love your vids PQ. Good stuff.

My two surprisingly effective and fun ships are Khaba (with UU ofc) and Duncan in this game mode.
I’ve been having amazing airship escort games with IX Dalian.
This is my favorite map since both (all) spawn positions allow effective flanking.

U would like you to play haragumo i ASE because i had few brutal games just spamming from smoke and rushing with torpedo buster without smoke. 2 different playstyles and boutg where working.

Hey PQ, I do also love airship escort it’s such a fresh breeze now. Try Colbert on reload mode and Austin (damn they both work really nice in this game mode).
PLEASE MAKE A COLBERT IN AIRSHIP ESCORT MODE.
I'm a 48% WR noob and I've been averaging 90-120K with a witherer or Arsonist almost every game. This map sucks for Colbert tbh.
Would love to see how you handle a Colbert on AE mode :)
