I have watched a few videos from this channel and they are very good. Consider me a subscriber, thank you for sharing and I am looking forward for part 2.
@hyundaitech is this something to be weary of when buying a GV70? Just curious if this is a make or break it deal for the car... Kind of scary to drop 60k+ for a car then run into these issues...
Well i have some gv70 that never seen a customer complain and just come to.our shop for maintenance. I think they are just few that have some problems i think all manufacturer has some kind of problem. But as long as the vehicle is under warranty you should be okay. Unless you gonna try to lease it first and see what you feel about the vehicle. I hope that helps
Does the 2022 GV70 Sport Advanced 3.5T also have a mechanical LSD? I don’t see LSD marked on the sticker anywhere. Bought the car with 30k miles and I’m nervous it will start getting some of these issues I constantly read about, fuel pump, injectors, differential.. etc
@@xSpoolinx i havent tried it but you can apply power and ground to those terminals and see if the motor retracts, if it apply the brake just reverse the orientation of your power and ground and then you can push the piston for the caliper.
I have a GV70 3.5 and have the Limited Slip Differential warning every time I drive it. At this point the dealer is researching the problem, they can not get a code that identifies the sorce of the problem. I've sent them the above video. Is the code P188213 motor electric fault?
Usually with fault with p1882,1889,1896,1960,1958,1956, we replace the actuator. The dealer you are servicing should have access for the bulletin. But here in canada we have that bulletin i dont know with other countries. Hope that helps.
We have a 2023 gv70 advanced package. 2.5 without the sport package. Do we have a limited slip differential and are you seeing any 2.5 models with transfer case issues?
Yes all genesis models has transfer case issues but not all the models and its like 1 out of 100 vehicles something like that. But for sure maybe with the latest models maybe the manufacturer improve the parts. Hope that helps
Are the rear differentials for RWD and AWD identical? Also, are there any issues with the RWD differential? Thanks a lot for the reply. I am planning to buy the car
@@axa970 depends, some rear diff comes with electronic limited slip, and some doesnt come with it, so theres 2 different rear diff on this genesis vehicles. The only thing i noticed is the motor/actuator has some issues but with new models for sure they address issues for that concern, and if you plan to buy a used one like 2021 you should be fine as long the vehicle still under warranty.
@@ChristineD173 sorry to hear that. I had a deposit on a Sport Prestige. The GV70 is one of the best looking vehicles out there. I hope yours gets fixed for good

2024 and I can confirm the Genesis gv70 3.5 is still having this issue .
Did you ever find out what the issues was ? And how did you fix it ? I can’t see a part 2 on your channel

Most of the higher trims has ELSD. And i think the 3.5t has one for both gv70 and gv80
@@hyundaitech Is there a way to retract the electronic parking brake on the GV70 without a scan tool?

Is the transfer case issue only for AWD or is it also for RWD

Is it still an issue with the eLSD motor for the 2023 GV70?
No i dont think so,
Yes it is! Bringing mine in tomorrow to change out actuator.

@Hyundai Tech I just heard form the dealer that the differential will be replaced. I have 2023 gv70 premium with only 6000 km.
