On this video what i did was collected how much fluid it came out from the actuator then use a syringe to inject how mcu fluid came out and quickly installed the actuator, but with the new bulletin they ask you to tilt the whole differential when removing the actuator..hope that helps.
Hello, hope you will answer :) I have same message on dash, and code - P188213 (Motor wire electrical fault). Measured voltages, they are good, resistance on Actuator motor is 3.2 to 2.2 (i guess while it was cooling down, resistance dropped), but nothing like in your case 17 and 400... Could this also be motor, or should i look elsewhere? Thank you :)
Hello, thank you for reply, maybe there is a way to check level or fill some oil to elsd, because it leaked some when i exchanged the motor (around 100ml). Maybe there is a way to add without taking it off? Thank you
@@MartynasStirblys 100 ml for is okay. What they instruct us to is remove the differential unit and replace the actuator while the differential unit is tilted. But i usually do like a quick swap so that just less oil will be out. Hope that helps
Yes i think its a tech tip instead i think replacing the whole transfer case , they said if you have codes for the motor just replace the awd motor or lsd motor depends on the equip on the vehicle
Thanks man, for the test leads i use that product is from.hantek. i bought it from.amazon but i couldnt find it anymore to give you the link. I read a lot of good reviews from aeswave.com they have terminal test kit.
@Hyundai Tech thanks! Have you had any more GV's come in with this issue? My dealer hasn't tried this yet, but has replaced rear differential 3 times. Is there a bulletin or reference material I can have them look up?
@@Huh-whaat i know us and canada has different bulletin, but in canada after this video they came out with bulletin regarding all wheel drive warning light on, basically when we scan for codes and it pertains to all wheel drive system like awd torque error something like that they just said replace the actuator, if the vehicle is equip with elsd and then replace the elsd actuator, if no elsd equip just replace the transfer case actuator. Hope that helps.
Hello :) have one question about front radar sensor for ACC. I had minor accident ant radar sensors one leg jumped out its place and i drove it for some time like that so now it has bad sensor alignment angle and does not let ACC system work (condition not met). I put radar back in its place and now its aligned. Do i need to perform any procedure for this code to go away or i just need to drive for a while and it will go away if angle now is correct? thank you in advance.
Hi, for that feature you have to peefectly set the angle using inclinometer and then perform calibration using target points and scantool. Coz for you or me even it looks okay but theres a chance that the angle is bad and causing for sudden braking.
Thanks good video. But how can you top up the oil?

Right now those actuator are very common to fail, and yeah most likely you need new actuator for that.

Have there been any tech bulletins or fixes from the factory

Good video using scope! Where did you get those test lead bundle you used for volt meter to differential?

Did this ultimately work?
2nd video i replaced the elsd actuator and fix the problem

@@hyundaitech thanks again! I will suggest that.
