Have just recently found you by accident and was inspired at 71years old to tap again. I've not tapped for over 10 years when I taught fellow golfers to tap. I've dusted off my shoes bought a board and am so happy to have something to do in lockdown here in the UK. Thanks ever so much and please keep posing.
Ha ha! I love what you said about 70 yr old tappers. 😉I’m 72 and I’ld say a pretty good tapper. It’s funny when I tell doctors I tap and perform with my Senior group for fitness and FUN! They are impressed. I love your style and positive teaching. Wow! I’m having a blast! I’m one of your biggest fans. Love you Kelli! 💕
Miss Kellie, I so enjoy your videos! I’m in my late 50’s and dusted off my tap shoes during Covid lockdown. Came out on the other side of Covid now teaching tap at my local Senior Center. They love it!! Thank you. 👯♀️
I started dancing when I was 4 years old. I took a 20 year hiatus to raise a family and work as a nurse. I dusted off my tap shoes today. Thank you for your inspiration and great advice! I'm excited to pick this back up.
Thanks for making this so much fun i don't care if i mess up! You're unique and lovely. Middle-aged obese beginner starting to have unselfconscious fun for the first time in forever. Dancing like no-one is watching!
Dear Miss Kelli, I LOVE learning from you. Thank you. I’m almost 50 and I tapped when I was 15…. By now I have an anxiety disorder and tapdancing is my therapy for walking around through spaces less cramped up. So I found it really funny that you called this the grocery tap, they are the places my anxiety is the highest… 😂 Thank you!!
Welcome back Kelli! I just love the way you explain the steps and how you encourage us beginners. I'm a 52 year-old beginner. Have taken half a year's break from the lessons, and now with your Tap Dictionary, I'm inspired again to put on my tap shoes!!!
This brought back memories!!!! Quarantine weight gain has brought me back to tap dancing. Having a blast with your videos! Many thanks for sharing your passion!!!😊
Thank you for sharing your passion! You are SO TALENTED and a really good teacher. I got my Jason Samuels Smith shoes for Christmas because I liked your review of them. Made perfect sense to me! I LOVE THEM!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us tap enthusiasts. I’m 67 and got back into Tap class seven years ago and it has given me a “new lease on life!” Our adult tap class performs in the dance school’s spring recital and that brings in new tappers every year! Thank you, Miss Kelli!
You are incredible and exactly what I need - I am only a beginner and have completed 3 sessions of lessons and now they are over (teacher moved) you are now my Flap Spirit looking forward to this journey. Thank you btw this newbie is 61
Thank you so much for making these tutorials. As a newbie, I have been searching high and low for videos like yours - fun, engaging and full of positivity! Pls keep making these videos. Love love love to learn from you the A-Z to tap dance! 🥰
Miss Kelli you have changed my tap life forever. I am so grateful to you for sharing your passion for dance. I want to know more about the "Jay Sam" shoes you speak of. I too prefer Bloch to Capezio because of the meaty sound. And lastly I love the alexander step, and I've learned the combo you taught to "When I'm 64". Please offer more beginner tap combos when you can!
Absolutely loving your lessons - so glad I found you x I found a tap dictionary a few weeks ago so this is really going to top it - thank you again - Di x
YESS! I’m so so so happy you’re back. I had to quit my adult beginner tap class due to a promotion at work that wouldn’t allow me to make it on time, so this is so exciting! I can still tap with you when it’s convenient for me! ♥️
Loved this. The haven’t tapped in years, but since losing 60 lbs I plan on digging out the dusty old taps and taking classes again this year. This is just what I needed.
Hi Kelli your tutorials are brilliant I am 76 years old and on,y took tap up about 10 years ago and just love it. Any suggestions for an oldy that could help. I live in London UK and will continue to watch all your tutorials for the beginners. You are a great teacher. Heather Clayson
Oh, I never tap alone, in elevators, etc. the public has to see that tap dance is still alive. I have had more than one studio owner tell me tap is a dying art. Nah.
That's so funny that you call it the grocery store step! I always do this when I'm alone in elevators, ever since I learned it.
