Taking my father-in-law down for a Bourbon Trail long weekend at the end of the month. Booked some stuff you've mentioned in earlier videos so thank you for the information. Looking forward to Bardstown Distilling and the restaurant!
Have fun! Let us know how it goes. Also when your at Bardstown Bourbon Company and eating make sure to have an Old Fashioned and ask to see the vintage bourbon list. It is a great way to finally try a really good dusty. Some are very expensive but many are affordable.
Yes the 12 year is one of the best bourbons you can get. I do not know if you can try it because we have not done a tasting there. If you go to Louisville before you tour Lux Row check out Westport Whiskey and Wine or Evergreen Liquors and they should have it on their tasting bars.
Loved the husband wife dou and perspective on this one! Great tips! We're doing the bourbon trail in November and hadn't thought of Peerless originally.
Glad it was helpful! Make sure to get those reservations in asap because everything is filling up quick now a days. Also if you don’t get one you want sometimes they have cancellations and you can get it.
First episode watched - of course, Heather is much better than anyone else! So appreciate the insights as we are looking to hit the area very soon. Subscribed!
Good video!! We were trying to get in on that when we do our Whiskey Tornado weekend, but they were booked solid. Yes.. dump Brian and Chuck.. keep your wife on! Just kidding… love the channel just the way it is and with the add ins from your better half TJ. Cheers!!!
Tj / Heather - we just came back (08/25 - 08/28) from Kentucky; and we did this experience, and you two are spot on. I went in knowing that I was going to get the Heaven Hill experience due to its rarity, but from a taste perspective I wanted the ECBP. I thought it was better, as was Larceny than both the A and B batches of this year. Fortunately, my brother chose EC, so I will choose to sip on his, until we get the opportunity to go again! Great points, great video.
This is an old video but I think your talking about the heaven hill you do bourbon which would make the bottle from $75 - $200 depending which bourbon you choose.
@@PowerofBourbon That was Sazerac that decided it. Before their ownership they where part of it. But cause they are the oldest distillery of the states they get so many visitor's that it doesn't matter.
Definitely include Heather in future episodes
We work her in as much as we can. We know she’s the peoples favorite

@@PowerofBourbon We are touring Lux Row as well, you recommend the 12 year they sell there still? Can you try it on the premises first?

Thanks ED.. Keep an eye out when it gets closer I have seen it open up a day or two out because people can't make it.
Great information!
Thank you

Thanks Derek. Glad you were able to do the experience and it sounds like you had a great time. That EC was so so good.
You should have her on more often. She beautifies the episode.
I know you should see the amount of touch ups I have to do on Chuck and Brian.
@@PowerofBourbon one can only shudder to imagine.
I think a cool video would be you two discussing unique places to stay while there, ie hotels or air bnb etc
We can do that. Thanks for the great idea.
Which Trace tour did you all do? Old Taylor, hard hat or trace?
The hard hat tour
How much was it to purchase the bottle?

Buffalo Trace is not part of the Bourbon trail
You are correct they do not want to pay to be apart of it.
