For Publix BOGO, you don’t have to buy 2. For instance just one item rings up half price. That is how I do Publix. I do love their Greenwise frozen yogurt, it tastes just like premium Ice Cream, low in fat, and they have many different flavors, Roadrunner Rasberry is delicious and Coconut Road. I have Peach Melba in my freezer rt now YES, Pigeon Forge is probably price gouged as much as legally allowed, lol!!!! I live in Nashville, another extremely tourist driven city, and coffee prices at my Publix across my street are higher than Pigeon Forge $$! Just bought bogo Nathen’s Hot Dogs last week from my Publix so half price….and YES, their Subs are amazing!! I remember when Bubba burgers were 10$ a box…

Publix pricing is definitely location specific. The BOGOs can be as good as Kroger or Meijer though.
I think you need a show letting us know what has NOT been recalled.

I was a Publix shopper until last year. Their fantastic customer service made it worth paying a bit more than shopping at other stores. But their prices lately are just too expensive. Even many of the BOGO sales are cheaper at Walmart.

I love the quality of the products at Publix especially the meat and produce, but my goodness are the prices insane now. It’s not just Publix, really it’s everywhere. At least at Publix you get an actual cashier and they will take your groceries to your car.
I'm glad I took advantage of the Foldgers coupon at Kroger a few months ago! This grocery saving freed up a couple thousand dollars that I used to buy my son a new bed discounted for Memorial Day ! No financing needed !!!
Publix has zip code pricing. Very frustrating.
You hit the nail on the head the BOGOs are the way to go. Some of those prices are higher probably due to the tourist area as bone in ribeyes are 8.99 a lb. The 2 or 3 for you dont need to buy that amount, you can buy just 1 at the discounted price.
Talking about unaffordable, I went to Huntington to shop at Kroger and when I got back home, I was looking over my receipt, because I knew I didn't spend as much as I did, and found that my 8 ears of "on sale" corn on the cob for 25cent an ear, rang up as $5.99 per ear. I had to go all the way back down there (one-hour drive) to get my $46 back. Register error, not mine! Everyone's corn was ringing up that price!

When I’m at register I watch each transaction when I see mistakes I immediately tell them and they correct right then and there-one has to be vigilant on this now
@@deegoodnow5616 I was at Walmart recently and bought, among other things, one of the 5 quart bottles of motor oil almost $30 each! She charged me for 2. It was a large order but I paid it with my debit card, the cashier gave said she couldn’t fix the overcharge, I’d have to go to service desk where they couldn’t reverse it, but have no fear, it would be back in my account in 7-10 business days! I was furious but unable to change it. Lesson learned!

My SIS who lives in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area says all their grocery stores are high.
Publix does donate the bakery items leftover from the day to churches and such

If it is 2 for 10, it is 5 for one. 3 for 10 would be 3.34 if you want one. Always use digitals, shop the sales and it is not as bad as you portray.
This Publix you went to is no different than the ones you go to in Orlando. The prices in tourist areas are ridiculously high.
I got some great 2 for 1 deals yesterday at Publix (NE Georgia). The ribeyes here are on sale for $8.99 a pound. At Walmart they were $15.99. Both Ballpark & Nathan's hot dogs were for buy 1/get 1 sales, as were: spareribs, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, French's Mustard, Heinz Ketchup, Ken's Steakhouse Dressing, McCormick Grillmates Seasonings, Hormel Bacon, Butterball Ground Turkey, Prego sauces, Mueller's pasta, Arnold's Whole Grain Breads, etc. There's a lot of sales.
Not in a tourist area and it’s honestly almost the same price here in NC FL.

I live in Tampa, FL. We must have 50 Publix locations in the metro area. I drive by on my to Aldi and WalMart. The prices are sky. high. This week, a half gallon of milk is $1.55 at Aldi vs: $3.69 at Publix. Boneless chicken breast was $2.29 per lb. at Aldi last week, vs: $5.15 per lb. at Publix. Even the prices for the BOGO items are highly inflated. I would say Publix is 30-40% more expensive than Aldi and 25-30% higher than WalMart. Go Bengals!

I usually only buy the BOGO's at Publix, but even with that, you have to watch your pricing because if a BOGO says an item is $5, you are paying $2.50 for one. That item might only cost $2.25 at Kroger for one. That is usually not the case, but I've seen it happen. Just FYI, for a BOGO or 2/$5 or whatever, you only have to buy one and you will pay 1/2 price. I used to think you had to buy 2, but you don't. You are right about the bakery. The BEST cakes and pastries. Also, you are right on the Publix Subs. They are SO good! There is a lot on them as well. They are not like Subway with their tasteless, skimpy ingredients. The bread they use as well has an excellent taste. Yes, there is always a line, but if you order ahead, you usually skip the line and just pick the item up and check out. Publix customer service can not be beat as well. I've asked people where something is, and they take you there.

I'm on a new diet, The Bidenomic Inflation Diet. I just buy what I can afford. Works great. I can now fit into my skinny jeans. When friends ask how I lost so much weight, they say Bidenomic Inflation Diet... Lookin' Good On Ya!
We shop at Publix every week, BUT Only shop the BOGO sales and use their digital coupons. You cant go in there and shop without planning out what the good deals are. ❤

Those prices are the same as they are where I am in SC. I stopped shopping at Publix over a year ago because their prices are outrageous. Even when their items are BOGO and we can get one item half off, I can still get comparable items cheaper at Aldi. Whoever sets the pricing at Publix has lost their mind.
Publix is doing my daughter’s wedding cake and delivering it to the venue. The florist is adding a few flowers. Price is less than traditional cake bakers

I can’t figure out why people would pay those outrageous prices while complaining or boycotting Walmart. I live in an area with no Kroger anywhere and Publix and Aldi 40 miles away but 2 Walmart within 15 miles. I will go to Aldi when I can but I’m certainly not a shopping snob!
You can't afford to be. Brands are a different area. Tyson is DUMPING TOXIC WASTE into our water ways.
Walmart is only 2 miles from me. Ingles is 2.5 miles. Ingles is too expensive but I shop there for managers specials on meat and produce. I can get it cheaper than at Walmart. I look for deals at Walmart as well. Today, I got Italian bread for 40 cents.

In some states buy 1 get one free you can just buy 1 at half the price. That's how it is where I live. I have stopped going to Publix other than hitting up their BOGO's or if I need some meat. The price on carrots were really bad. You can get a 16 oz bag for like $1.19 at Aldi or the organic bag for less that that 12oz bag at Publix. But honestly all the grocery stores are pretty bad. Publix is no different than Kroger or Windixie in my mind. You normally only want to buy their sales. Most of the time items are jacked up in price.
When I look at the Publix Weekly Ad online, I filter by Buy One Get One. I get a lot of good deals that way.

Carrots at Publix per small bag are 99 cents .Maybe the stock sold out temporarily.

I'm in Collier County, FL. We have Walmart, 2 Aldi, 2 Winn-Dixies and 16 Publix. Publix is way too expensive because they have no competition. I will only go to a Publix if I absolutely have to have something specific. They are famous for keeping out of date products on the shelves for months.

You can buy 1 and get the bulk price at any store, And how long has it been since you were up north. Prices have been going way up from Bidenomics.

Hello!!! I've noticed during your videos that Tennessee's groceries are more expensive than Ohio. However, keep in mind that Pigeon Forge is a tourist location thus the higher prices.
We shop at Publix every week, we get a sub sandwich every week before shopping. We try to buy mostly Bogo, We love the 5 grain bread from the bakery
Bakery items are usually good at Publix. Their fried chicken is a staple for many people.

You are correct. At Publix they will have "2 For" or "3 For" and you can just buy one and get the reduced price. And Publix BOGO's are really good deals.

Greenwise is their organic line. Also, when something is 2 for $5.00. You do not have to buy 2.
Publix had a lot of good sales over the last two weeks. I go every Thursday morning. It is about one half mile from my house. Handy.
Publix is expensive but the Publix brand quality is fantastic

Food Lion is outrageous on their prices now too. We can't keep up with the rising prices. And are getting food insecure.. 😔
Prices are standard here in Washington State!! We pay n pay n pay. Our higher end grocery stores are even higher by $1
I shop about 2 1/2 isles at Kroger now. The rest too, is just too expensive.
The cookies and cream brioche donut is amazing, I think I had at least 3 the week I discovered them. A little pricey but so worth it!
How are they still in business? Of course, we may be asking that about our own stores in a year or two when our prices match these.

The sub line at my store isn't an hour long. What you should have done is have Jess wait in line while you did the video and then when she was almost at the front of the line have her call you to come over to order what you want. Their 3 best subs are their chicken tender sub, meatball sub, and ultimate sub.
Actually you can go on the app and order ahead and it is ready at the time you choose. Just pick it up at the deli counter and go.
@@loves2go Oh yeah I know that because I live in an area that has been carpet-bombed with Publix stores. But there are no Publix stores in Ohio so they have no reason to install their app. When I go I often see one person making just internet orders while the others wait on the customers that are actually there. Dan often talks about how long he spends in the stores making videos so I was suggesting a good solution to having a one hour wait for a sub since they were both there.

At Winco in Texas, if I don’t mind peeling my own carrots, I can get a couple pounds for $2 dollars.
Those prices Comparable to where I live in Rapid City South Dakota USA as It's expensive to buy food & soda in Rapid City South Dakota with prices so high as I paid $6 dollars for dozen eggs & $6 dollars for milk & $6 for a loaf of bread & $6 dollars for pound of ground beef & $9 for a 12 pack soda so I paid six dollars each for two bags of chips for total of $12 dollars for two bags of chips inflation is crazy high at Family Fare grocery store in Rapid City South Dakota.
Their produce is horrible for on Nashville.
At Publix you don't have to buy all the items to get the deal.
We never shop Publix just way to expensive.

I make soup with pumpkin anything (red tomatoe ) base makes my KNEES HURT . A small can of greenwise pumpkin costs 2.35 dang that’s pricey .
Wow, that’s expensive! We don’t have Publix here. It looks like a well run store but so overpriced. It reminds me of a store we have here called Lunds. A really nice clean store, with nice employees, but everything is twice as much as everyplace else.
