I actually learned a little about old remin/reminas lore from Opalines older videos(Mainly from the description because that's the meatiest place to find lore). Apparently Remina genuinely tried dipping marine into BLACK TAR because she was jealous. She ended up falling in instead becoming Marines shadow, hence the name Remina being an anagram for Marine (None of this is actually canon anymore but I feel like I needed to let out my frustrations about the Remina Marine anagram not working anymore because of remin becoming male). Anyway I hope Opaline recycles this design for remins mom, dead or alive, preferably alive.
