i tried to practice head ons......i had a different result...i rammed 4 players in a row.

Shoot at 1mile/1.5km and pull out, do some acrobatics while you're at it so enemy can't aim ahead.

Lmao, most important part of head ons is the DODGE, including the carcass.
Adam514 There are different types of head-ons: Dodge-shoot, shoot-dodge , dodge-shoot-dodge, shoot-dodge-shoot . Speed , altitude ,armament and horizontal separation must be taken into consideration as well. Also u need to react to enemy's evasive maneuver to get a shot on him when he's dodging. It's quite complicated .
Oh plz take this with a grain of salt as I'm only good at ramming actually .

Depends if you wan't the game to be historical or not. In real life .50's were pretty bad at plane killing. Especially during the jet age. Not quite as much earlier.

Having played a lot of U.S and Japan, I can say that Japan really is not OP, its just that low tier U.S players are incredibly dumb.

Best way for head ons is to take stealth ammo, fire from high range to the enemy and then quickly turn away.

Usually I'm playing it safe and avoid head-ons, so I try to energy bait instead. However these three kills in a row where impressive and a good example to try them more myself. I'm not good at head-ons yet.
I'm not good at head ons eitber, but low tier with 50 cals make it easy.

BTW is german MK108 30mm cannon not good to head on? Its bullet speed is so terrible :(
You shouldn't head on with German aircraft in general. Ta152C might be an exception because the mk103 30mm is quite fast and it surprises people.

I remember when I was a Lvl 3 or so and when I played arcade and when head on against that thing I was like wtf, how am I dying in the blink of an eye, then proceeded to grind the whole American tree with that thing and a talisman xd

Btw for a challenge vehicle you should try playing out the XP-50. Just bought it recently and I can not figure this thing out. I think it could make for a great video if you are able to figure out. The only way I’m able to get kills in it is by forcing planes into a hammerhead or head on. It’s just a recommendation though I understand you get like millions of plane requests each video so.
Haha yeah I do. I'll keep it mind, though I tend to avoid premiums.
2 month old comment but the thing is I believe the xp50 has turbochargers which break if you use MEC so my advice is use auto engine control and keep throttle at 90-97% to keep from overheating with using 100 as your WEP. maybe then the turbos work????? otherwise it feels like a brick using MEC. If not using MEC then make sure you use flaps and turn fight 109s and 190s as they cant outturn you.

You really should try the P-40F-10. Currently one of my favorite planes, tied with F6F-5 for CAS. It's (as far as I know) a full-on upgrade to the P-40E in every way.
I’m a bit late to the party lol but while it does improve in most metrics the big one that it actually loses capability in is turn rate. A full second or two slower than the E. Not that the E is a turn fighter by any means, but it is helpful.
I got this plane for a test drive and it is a very good plane it turns nicely and it climbs pretty good. Got 4 kills on my first match

Good stuff! I've never been much good with the P40, even after the FM update and I'm not too sure why. I think that the playstyle of it just doesn't really match with what I try to make it do.
Say, as a suggestion, would you mind doing something involving the Me 163? It's one of my personal favorite aircraft due to how unorthodox the playstyle is compared to other jets at the tier, and it's certainly something one has to get used to!
I like the Ki200 a lot and I have a video on it. Personally I think the Ki200 is superior to the Me163.
Personally, I prefer the 163 due to the higher durability and fuel load as well as superior engine, but I can understand your standpoint as the Ki-200 is lighter and has less dropoff on the guns.
Hmm I'd be surprised if durability were different. The guns are the biggest difference for me, hitting 9.0s with 2 Mk108s isn't easy.

Could you tell me what game settings, screen resolution and anisotropic filtering you used in this battle? I find that with a lower resolution it is much easier to hit an opponent but it also depends on the monitor you are using.
Medium 1080p, default anisotropic filtering I'd assume.

What convergence do you use, mate? Also, what’s the advantage of a rolling head-on?
400m (description). Lol there isn't an advantage doing it like this, but rolling a bit allows you to rapidly pitch away from the head on at an angle that is harder for the enemy to follow.

I have a question Adam. Is the BF 109 G14/ AS most manueverable BF 109 at tier 4 (include K4) in game?
Nope, the most maneuverable is the E. Earlier versions of aircraft are often lighter and hence turn better (with the same wing).

G14 seems to be the most maneuverable tier 4 Bf109. I'm planning on doing an ultimate tier 4 Bf109 comparison in the future.
It makes me happy though. Im a really Bf 109 specialist player rather than spits or p51s (also liking and using them) but Im confused about grind Italy for G14/AS. Im wondering is that worth it. Im looking forward the comparison but dont forget to put into G14 AS. Thank you for all your work!!!
G56 is superior, it might be the best Axis 5.3. I have the impression that the G14/AS is a better deal for the BR than the German 109s.

How did you "cancer roll" like that? The instructor only lets me roll in the opposite direction as the yaw keyboard inputs while applying positive elevator.
Hmm better check your key bindings then. I used Q (left rudder), A (left aileron) and positive elevator together.

You mean radiator %/opening? You need to bind a key to enable Manual Engine Control (MEC), and then bind keys for the radiators.

Yup it's 100% legal, Gaijin even made a video on it on youtube (mostly to use the map that comes with it).
It's called the "local host".
How to access the "local host":
You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work!
Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT:
-Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila.
Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

@@AdamTheEnginerd It could be because I'm forced to push it to the max angle of attack in sometimes even slight maneuvers. Seems to fly like a 109 with worse vertical characteristic in sim. Maybe turns just a bit better.

When you roll and use pitch and rudder as well to roll faster.
I know it is kinda late. But why did you do those weird rolls and maneuvers at the end? I am sure you could have stayed in the air and not get yourself killed before the tickets ran out. Maybe you don't care about it but I wouldn't give my opponent the kill like that after they are already dealt with.
I didn't get the death and the other guy didn't get the kill, I "died" after the game ended, so it doesn't count.

Yeah the kill feed still shows everything. I crash like this whenever I have the chance, I guarantee it doesn't give a death (or a kill). The scoreboard shows that too.

I think we're seeing a return of head ons. I've seen the stupidest head ons in a short time span in the last few weeks.
Adam514 it's the P-47's best defensive maneuver: 180 turn, shoot in face, profit.
It's also part of the reason axis teams do so poorly, they willingly engage in headons with P-47's and P-51's
Axis P47s do that too haha, I've seen P47s kill each in head ons all the time...
Why you shouldn't head on the last guy?
No one should commit to the headon, but mainly I'm tankier and I have better guns for headons.
This plane has low flutter speed then Bf109E... I hope new P-40F will be improved

That's not the flutter speed, it's just that the airspeed force on the control surfaces is too high for the pilot to adequately move the control surface.

Now days it's a blind cancer roll 30mm 360 no scope to the face x10 aircraft destroyed. I get good headons in my g91 but .50 cals don't do anything
