Instead of having 2 separate sections for the F84s I would of kept them together as there isn’t a whole lot different between the two. I would of then put the HE 162 A-2 on the list. Since it sits at 6.3 now its very competitive and will teach a lot of the same lessons as the others on the list. It’s also got familiar guns to any German player while being incredibly good as defensive flying.
I agree with this, the 162 is a better German starter jet than the German f84 imo. It does have a very steep learning curve for managing speed and energy but since it mostly fights props you can utilize that advantage a lot more and is very rewarding.
It's at 6.0 now. Some have trashed it, but imho it's pretty damn good after you get past the painful stock grind/learning curve, and you're definitely capable of carrying game with it due to its unique capabilities.
@@SeekerHead there isn't much of a difference. You have to keep your speed against both. Only that the speed advantage is further empathized over props, and that the plane will force you to carefully manage your energy which is indeed a good thing for further jets.
Choosing your first jet in the game is actually pretty common problem. But for me, you choose your first jet by choosing a nation to play. Thus the amount of skills you will need to learn playing it depends on nation you play. And the more skills you get, the easier for you to go on. I remember playing my first jet in the game... And it was Ho 229. Extremely specific jet. Oh god, how hard it was... But it gave me a very precious knowledge of keeping speed and differences between flying when you've got a tail and if you haven't. And when I got the G-91... I came to 8.7 prepared quite well. So choose your nation wisely, and be ready to get better 😉
the ho 229 was my favorite jet way back in the day it could dogfight anything but with the new flight model (for when i started to play again has drastically changed) i would not use this jet because it bleeds a lot of speed and if you pull to hard knowing it's made out of wood irl it will rip
The early MiG-9 is what I've been using for Chinese CAS in my 8.0 lineup, and I must say it's also very effective at swatting planes out of the sky. I've just about spaded it just playing Ground RB, purposefully saving the late MiG-9 to use exclusively in Air RB to really see its potential. My first tech tree jet in the entire game was the Italian F-84G, and it was a great pick. Kinda skipped the low-tier jet grind against 262s and went straight to the 8.7 up-tiers, and that wasn't great, but the plane itself was very fun to fly and learn. Speed is everything, keep it and treasure it. Even the M3 .50 cals are abysmal at destroying most aircraft, but it also teaches you some trigger discipline and aim at the same time. Definitely worthy of this list.
@@CrackzTV The Chinese tree is my first experience with Russian jets, so I'm not sure what to think yet. I was looking forward to the J-2, love the MiG-15's history and I hope it's at least fun to fly.
The Attacker also has a unique feature of his flaps being also his airbrake. That means you cannot rip your flaps at any speed, which is obviously extremely helpful. Try it.
My first jet was F2H Banshee but I struggled with it facing missiles is a tough experience. So I turned my sights to F-84's it was not easy to fly at the start but low br and air spawn helped me a lot, I quickly learned how to use it and boosted my grind, thx to that I reached rank VI easily.
Personally I really liked the yak-15p. It teaches you to use speed effectively, but still can turn with alot of late war props if you make a mistake. Also it forces you to learn to aim well because of how little ammo you have. Still one of my favorite planes to take out because a lot of people won't expect you to do well in it.
The P-80 is definitely a great starter jet, and is easily my favorite plane ingame. It's hard to describe how nice of a starter jet it is, and I've had plenty of fun fighting Mig-15s in it with the C variant.
Good list. I think the MiG-9 late is not only a great plane but also great for teaching early jet combat. I think the lack of an airbrake actually might help its case. The MiG-9l is pretty good at rate fighting and its a common trend amongst newbies to try and use flaps and even airbrakes to slow down in a turnfight, since this will shrink turn radius and give some instantaneous position. However i think it's actually better to take time and play energy/sustained turn. This way you not only will outturn someone who airbrakes/overuses flaps, but you can energy trap them, extend away and keeo enough speed to dodge third parties. Not having an airbrake helps push new jet players towards thinking about energy states vs thinking about position, and i think that as a result it actually helps the mig-9ls case
I got the f84b as my very first starting jet and i must say, in terms of learning how to be an actual jet and learning the jet ways, i feel like the 262 has taught me more than what i have learned in the f84b. Its because the smallest mistake will kill you. And you need to learn how to be fast and read situations better
My first jet was the F3D-1 while it probably isn't the best ite ability to turn, better than planes such as 262s and keep up with others I think is pretty forgiving, as you can sorta get into prop situations you may accidentally will want to try. Though the guns can be hard to aim, they do pretty decent damage
A plane i think deserves a mention is the kikka, although i understand why it's not here. The kikka is the ultimate pure energy fighter at 7.0. It doesnt turn particularly well and has almost 0 AoA/instantaneous pull. It *can* outturn people but it is *forced* to use energy and sustained turn rate to do so. The other thing is the small ammo pool teaches conservation and aim. Something that helps dramatically since not having to land is a massive advantage in jet games.
the MiG9 is definitely the most jet like early jet for learners my first jet was the kikka so that was fun but once i got the mig9 i had a great time granted this was over 4 years ago if not more keep up the vids friend
DEFYN has also been complaining about midmap AA too. Saying they ALWAYS hit and ALWAYS cause an oil leak and are absolutely pointless in the middle of the map. So it's not just you.
For me it was the F80 (P80 back then) .. It's perfect to learn the flying and speed+altitude management.. The Guns make u more a supporter and really let u down sometimes. But they make up for that with their tendency to light the enemy up on fire. Love the F80 to this day. (I did not play the Mig 9s because I didn't grind the soviet tree that far)
Surprised the R2Y2 isn't on the list, as far as jets to start with go, it's very forgiving. Engines are strong, acceleration isn't bad, guns are high velocity/easy to aim/take forever to run out of ammo/hit like bricks, maneuverability is pretty good in most situations, and the only real drawback is a slower top speed. It's also got bombs for those who like ground RB. Now that I think about it, I've also just kinda described the F3D-1 Skyknight, except it trades some maneuverability for a better top speed, also gets an air spawn too.

imo you couldve counted the sea meteor (you did the same for mig9L anyway). even tho its same br and looks as the normal mk3 it plays vastly different (trying to turn literally rips the plane lol)
What do you think about the F3D-1, I think it may be a little slow for 7.0 since the ME-262s migs yaks and other similar jets speed-wise are at 6.7 or even 6.3
At least from my experience with the Skyknight flying it in sim, its an excellent bird. Basically only Su-11s or much higher skill pilots will frequently down you. Its got *Adequate* thrust, great guns, lots of ammo. RB wise the radar is.. Basically pointless, lets be fair. Does get good bombs as well, if you want to grind it out hitting bases first.
Interesting video but with everyone paying their way to top tier by buying op premium planes I think there will be less and less people playing nontoptier TT planes. I really hope I'm wrong.
I played war thunder for 7 years, watched numourous hrs of yt videos, went throught 5 nations of tanks and planes, now i cam finally be a starter! Jet! 💀
I got my first jet a few days ago and I was in Swedish line and went it’s strike aircraft’s cuz I thought they would have air to air missiles but the fighters did and I got disappointed but I had karma for not checking
Where on earth is the Kikka and KI200? They wont exactly hold your hand but they teach you the most valuable lesson of all in jet combat which is to plan ahead of your attacks and get to know your plane's strengths and weaknesses. I usually despise the F84's because they are downright broken in the hands of someone who knows how to use them, The Kikka and KI200 will make you suffer until you have good skill, Their cannons are also very friendly and you can one tap most things.
Where the F2H-2 is? the F-80 is pretty much a prop with an engine as it turns well and goes at low speeds, The F2H-2 instead has to go at high speeds in order to turn and it has cannons as main armament which you'll need to get used to as it will be your main armament for any jet you see over tier V
Is the F2H-1 an good idea for me as a starter jet or is that a real bad first jet (yes i know it needs to stay above 500 kmh or i will not have a very good turn time)
My first jet was Ho-229, but the jet I really begun flying jets with is Me-262. Nowadays I'm guessing what to research next, MiG-15bis or G.91? What would you recommend guys? And what to research in german 6th tier?
I'd say MiG-15bis, it's harder to fly but overall a better plane than the G.91R/3. The Lim-5P is very good too. In rank 6 the onlyyy real plane worth flying IMO is the MiG-19S. The CL-13s are kinda nice but stock they're just bad sabres at a higher BR, and the F-86K is complete garbage. MiG-19S is kinda hard to fly and aim but again very good once you know it well enough. And Rank VII, the best planes are probably gonna be MiG-21MF and F-4F. I hate flying top tier so I'd stick to those
All it can really do is turn. Give the average andy a plane that can turn and has good cannons and they’ll always do better with it, despite the plane not being competitive in every other aspect. Look at the entire japanese tree for example. Most of their planes are way over tiered, but average players succeed in them because they’re easy.
su11 isn’t spammed quite as hard as it was with the sales, but yeah it’ll always be a pest. many su11 players are t the greatest though themselves so at least the problem is minimized
Mid map aa is so bad right now you can run the risk of terminal damage just solo attacking a convoy because 9.999 times out of ten you get an oil leak and a full yellow plane on your first run meaning if you loiter for more than a minute you run the risk of loosing your engine or engines on the way back to base
Can flares take out jets? Because one game I had a missle coming at me and an enemy went by me at the same time I flared and I got a kill and I hadn't shot a single cannon round or missle the entire game I had only used flares and not sure if the guy I passed was the one who died because I was in the middle of a bunch of players trying to evade and I swear I've taken damage flying through an enemies flare before also but my buddy says it's impossible and I've never seen it in a clip I've only seen flares kill tanks not other jets
F80s only downfall is it sits in the worst of the 3 fighter lines, outside of that, with experience, the F80 could very well be the best American plane pound for pound
Not really. The best american jets are in that line, and tbh while the mid-tier props aren't great, that is also true for every US line except for the navy fighters.
@jojomaster7675 its not nearly as strong as you think. The F80A is good the C is meh, the F104s are decent, the F5E is fantastic finally after rebalancing they did like 4 months ago, the ADF is meh, F16A is good. Compare it to the USAF heavy fighter line and the vehicles were better for a while. The current patch Naval fighter line is the best .
@@vaguevtx5090 The US doesn't really have a heavy fighter line. So not sure what you meant by that sentence. Currently I would not say the navy line is best. Sure, the F-14s are good and so is the F-8E, but the demon is sub-par, and the Panthers/cougar have never been that great. Meanwhile, the F-16 line only has good jets. Not a single bad one. The F-80A is godly, the C is good, the 104s are great, the F-5E is very good and the F-16s are as well. Though not sure why you think the A is better than the ADF. Sure, it has nicer CAS, but air rb wise the ADF is superior because sparrows. Imo the naval fighter line has the best props, but jet-wise the F-16 line is nicer. Meanwhile the F-4E line is just sad all the way from rank 3 to rank 7 and desperately needs the F-15A, or at least top tier moved up to 12.3.

Cool! Not like I’m going to need this info for the next 1-2 years but I really like these videos.
top 5 content creators (youre one of them)
10/10 recommend He162 and Ho229 to start with jets... for whoever thats ready to quit the game
imo you couldve counted the sea meteor (you did the same for mig9L anyway). even tho its same br and looks as the normal mk3 it plays vastly different (trying to turn literally rips the plane lol)
rips way too easily
What do you think about the Barougan with SNEBs? I want it for ground RB
He 162 grindset
Interesting video but with everyone paying their way to top tier by buying op premium planes I think there will be less and less people playing nontoptier TT planes. I really hope I'm wrong.
Last night I was in my F-84 and there was this downtiered German G.91 and I was killed my by first aim-9B
I learned my jet basics in the green 262 think its also a good jet for learning
Still finds a way to put the J-7 in there… I wouldn’t be surprised honestly
1.Thunderjet
2.Gloster Meteor
3.Mig 9
4. p80
5. Me 262
Watch this video twice, once when you’re choosing a country to main, and then again, 3 years later, once you’ve grinded enough to get your first jet.
I played war thunder for 7 years, watched numourous hrs of yt videos, went throught 5 nations of tanks and planes, now i cam finally be a starter! Jet! 💀
I never really got the hang of the f84 except for the French f84f for some reason
I got my first jet a few days ago and I was in Swedish line and went it’s strike aircraft’s cuz I thought they would have air to air missiles but the fighters did and I got disappointed but I had karma for not checking
If you mean the sk60, they do have manually guided atgms, that you can also use on planes as well thanks to pf.
Where on earth is the Kikka and KI200? They wont exactly hold your hand but they teach you the most valuable lesson of all in jet combat which is to plan ahead of your attacks and get to know your plane's strengths and weaknesses. I usually despise the F84's because they are downright broken in the hands of someone who knows how to use them, The Kikka and KI200 will make you suffer until you have good skill, Their cannons are also very friendly and you can one tap most things.
tq for adding video like i really apperciate
My first jet was the swift f1, for any newer britain player just dont, grind the vampire instead its way better
You should really do best starter jets for each nation
The best planes I recommend learning jets are mig15bis and f86 f25
Nooo.. You are wrong.. The best starter jets are A10, SU25, F5C, Mig-21S etc :D :D :D :D :D
Level 9 premium moment
Where the F2H-2 is? the F-80 is pretty much a prop with an engine as it turns well and goes at low speeds, The F2H-2 instead has to go at high speeds in order to turn and it has cannons as main armament which you'll need to get used to as it will be your main armament for any jet you see over tier V
Should probably make a video with the best jet to start with for each faction
I really can’t wait to get a jet because I haven’t made it there yet
Obviously it's the ar234 it's cas potential and fun is unmatched at 6.3 which gets a unholy amount of downtiers
the air spawn sisnt age well and now the usa f84 is now the airspawn one
at 3:10 a wild dorito appears
Dorito jumpscare
Is the F2H-1 an good idea for me as a starter jet or is that a real bad first jet (yes i know it needs to stay above 500 kmh or i will not have a very good turn time)
f2h isn’t very great
Well the only difrent option is getting the f3d-1
F2H then for sure lol
Thanks
I hate flying top tier so I'd stick to those
the meteor is better than all of these tbh, but good point, it doesnt prepare you foe what jets are
All it can really do is turn. Give the average andy a plane that can turn and has good cannons and they’ll always do better with it, despite the plane not being competitive in every other aspect. Look at the entire japanese tree for example. Most of their planes are way over tiered, but average players succeed in them because they’re easy.
Not really. The F-80A is better in every way. It even outturns it if used correctly.
I personaly like the mig 17-As werry good, its a verry nice plane for grinding tiers if you know how to use it
Are we getting consistent uploaded schedule seekerhead? God dreams do come true
i’m trying man
top 5 series are fun
are any of them good to learn jet with considering su-11 spam? i'd almost argue 7.7 or 8.0-8.3 is the better place to learn jets
su11 isn’t spammed quite as hard as it was with the sales, but yeah it’ll always be a pest. many su11 players are t the greatest though themselves so at least the problem is minimized
@@SeekerHead true true
My first jet was the me163
I ended up grinding the f80 before I got a new German jet
How? That thing is behind 2 me262s. And it isn't even a jet.
@@jojomaster7675 a longtime ago it use to be the first in the tt
Then the snail reworked the tt, kinda like what they are doing now
@@mapletreepower7038 Must have been a long time ago then. Like, years.
Mid map aa is so bad right now you can run the risk of terminal damage just solo attacking a convoy because 9.999 times out of ten you get an oil leak and a full yellow plane on your first run meaning if you loiter for more than a minute you run the risk of loosing your engine or engines on the way back to base
Meteor f mk4 is very good in the current meta
i'm going straight from prop to rocket (ki-200)
He mean the best jets for learn jets, not the best jets, obviusly the best jets are the su-11 and the meteor
Guys, i wanna buy a my first jet, what's better for start, Su-11 or G.91 R\4?
You should have brought up the German early jets...
If this was the worst Early jets to start with. All of them are horrible in ARB
which is better f80 or f84 in usa?
The F-84 was my first jet and I absolutely hated it.
My first jet was the mig 15 bis pretty nice but somewhat expensive. Mig 9l is dumb same br as mig 9 but better and twice as expensive.
How do you use free cam? Is it a setting
When did they change the P80 to F80A?
good while ago, not sure exactly
Can flares take out jets? Because one game I had a missle coming at me and an enemy went by me at the same time I flared and I got a kill and I hadn't shot a single cannon round or missle the entire game I had only used flares and not sure if the guy I passed was the one who died because I was in the middle of a bunch of players trying to evade and I swear I've taken damage flying through an enemies flare before also but my buddy says it's impossible and I've never seen it in a clip I've only seen flares kill tanks not other jets
All these are fun and good to learn in until the other team has 7 f ing su11. Which is every match
Hey could you do the best or the worst radar missiles
Alright perfect timeing bc i just started reasearhing US jets
How about F89B is that similar to F-84G?
Can you do the best sar missiles?
Top 5 LEAST REMARKABLE PLANES lets her it!
@jojomaster7675 dog that post was made 8 months ago
@@vaguevtx5090And it still was the best jet line 8 months ago. And the props didn't change at all.
Meanwhile the F-4E line is just sad all the way from rank 3 to rank 7 and desperately needs the F-15A, or at least top tier moved up to 12.3.
and what about the vampire how is this plane now it’s br8.0
