They're going to get sued into the ground
The next version of the car won’t even have a cable
Do they make this iPhone? I hate when someone trynda talk to me while my phone is charging
99.9% Gas drivers also have to remove the gas line pump before driving. So EV drivers, no need to panic yet. I'm sure we'll have a better solution in the future.
But gassing up only takes seconds!
It would be messy, but in an emergency you could drive a gas car away from the pump with the nozzle inserted. The point here is that EVs are designed to not allow you to drive at all if the charge cable is attached - even if you have finished charging.
@chaseroo12 will damage your car
@@Nicholas-f5 Not much. It's designed to "break away" safely. The designers knew that people would forget and drive off with the nozzle inserted. It's not hard to find videos of drivers who have done this.
One of the criminals can hold the switch
Wait, wait, wait, this doesn't make sense. If you are fueling your car, you cannot drive away either without taking it out first. Because if you do, you can cause a fire that can cause the whole gas station to explode and you end up in federal prison.
Nope. Putting in the fuel nozzle does not inhibit your gear shifter. Gas station pump nozzles are made to safely "break away" with part of the hose if a driver is an idiot. There are numerous videos of such idiots driving down the road with the nozzle still attached and the hose dragging along.
Just one of the many reasons not to buy an EV.
My electric (gas) station has a break away connector since the beginning of time!
I would never had thought that sheep need to sit around while being charged. This is a really productive society.
Started reading some of the comments and did not watch the video.
Isn't it Utes?
What about gas station users, will there be a similar device...
Would be a great idea, but you know the fire department has been using a quick release plug-in system long before tesla even existed 😅. And someone already mentioned it, but using third-party items would be a quick way to void your warranty. Third, let's be honest. You really think tesla didn't already consider this option lol especially when they can add this feature to a new model and charge you twice as much for it.
Teslas should have a button to electrify the body of the car, like a tazer
Evject is a advertising company, not a adapter company. Thy flooded tesla YT'rs and now paying for local news adds in the form of a news story.
The EVject isn't an adapter device. And do you call Walmart an advertising company because it has advertisement?
she said they wanted to look at her cool car lol. What is so cool about a battery?
Another reason why owning a gas car is better
Why is this relevant to ev? If you’re pumping gas it’s the same thing? Don’t charge at midnight and don’t pump gas at midnight? Solution that is free
Sounds like a fake scenario made to sell a product. Tapping into people's fear to make money.
Same problem getting gas
Never heard that the car won't move if the pump is put in.
The hoses are breakaway, designed for imbeciles that drive off with nozzles left in the car. But unlike EV's you're topped off in only a couple minutes so time to be approached is limited and in a pinch you could jump in car and flee without removing nozzle.
@WASTEOFTIMESTUDIOS other than spilling hazardous fluid anywhere...
Yea it acts as a helmet for a two foot drop. What about the next car that will drive over it
Soooo…. Tesla announced wireless charging stalls.
Stupidity...a woman, alone at midnight thinking she's 'safe'....
seriously, she calls the safety feature to prevent damage and the danger of driving off with the charger still plugged in a flaw.
If you want an EV you know the issues.
You don't get to do that it's a safety hazard that's why you can't drive off😂
Meh idea. Its a one time use item
they will replace it for free
@mcsike7264 read the not even fine print. That would be the single worst business model ever. It's a one time use thing.
@ Ya but your not gonna use it very day if your in fear of getting robbed every day maybe its time to move also they said they will replace it for free
Ooooorrrr.... you could just buy a regular gas car and not take 45-60 minutes to charge. 2-3 mins and you're gone. Much lower risk. And if you do decide to go ahead and drive away, it will shut off anyways. Or you get out and suddenly you have a squirt gun to fend off attackers!!!😂😂😂
Genius 👌🏾
...or stick with petroleum and drive away with a tail.
Very ingenious
Sounds like Amanda's husband is an investor.
I want an ev but would never buy a Tesla.
Someone needs to invent a way to put out EV fires faster.
Love this.
