Pocket screws are a great mechanical fastener to hold while glue dries. I usually pull mine out after the glue cures then I can mill and sand without the fear of them being exposed and then I can reuse the screws again in another project.
Don't worry about the pocket hole joint police. When I use pocket holes there in a place that can't be seen. So what difference does it make? Anyway, they're very effective. Those beds that you made we're very nice. Those cardboard boxes that you were using stands we're very attractive, just kidding. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Maybe it's just me, but I find your videos very relaxing. Maybe it's the music or the methodical way you go about your work but it seems to sooth the soul. Glad you're back!
Grate vid I am sure I speak for everyone that it is a nice surprise to have a video after so long. I like the way you do things you take your time to do a video and not rush anything and it really shows in the end product
Nice video, can’t wait to see the next part. Your shop organization is superb...I need to get my act together for my shop when the weather warms up a bit.
I like your approach to "production" set up. I work with the same mind-set every day in my "earning job": finding solutions, jigs, processes, tools, etc to reduce time, cost, materials and energy. Not many wood workers talk about this often overlooked topic that also can increase the fun in the hobby shop (from a pro perspective Mitch at hff.com is good and Peter Millard just did a nice mini-series). So more of such well and honestly explained and really good photography vids, pls.
Great use of pocket screws, not for the joinery itself, but as a clamping mechanism, as we know the glue on long grain is stronger than the wood once it's dried.; no need for anything stronger. And, too bad you were forced to use that "ugly, brown-stained" wood. ;-)
Scott W thanks, I’ll definitely take that into consideration for the next video. I’m still kind of experimenting and learning what works as I go. And I appreciate the constructive feedback as opposed to a few other people who just said something like “your music sucks” lol. Can’t please everyone with the music choice but then again I’m not really trying to please everyone :)
That swimming bit killed me!
The problem I have with this video is... I WANT MORE! I could watch a new video every day from you! Keep it up!
RHMiddy9 ha ha ok will do!

Thats interesting, I never thought to pull them out and reuse them.
