    Part 1 is here: • Build: Mid-Century Nig...
    The night stands are DONE! In this episode I finish building the drawers and drawer pulls, and do the final sanding and finishing with wipe on polyurethane. Then I get these bedside tables into the bedroom and OUT OF MY SHOP! Leave your questions below for the Q&A video I'll post in a week or two.

    Standard Disclaimer: Putting your soft, squishy fingers near powerful sharp spinning things is dangerous. I've been doing this for a while and I know what I'm doing but even I'm not invincible. I take a lot of safety precautions based on my level of experience and not all of them are shown on camera. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable with. If it makes you nervous you're probably doing it wrong. Don't do anything stupid. Reapply sunscreen often and floss before bed. Is anyone actually still reading this?

    Absolutely beautiful nightstands!! Being a child born in the fifties I remember “mid century” furniture being everywhere, even in our own home. But I can honestly say that I’ve never seen furniture built in that time that could hold a candle to what you built! It all came from Sears or Montgomery Wards. Works of art they are. Your stuff, not the Sears and Wards stuff I mean.😊

    Ah, come on! After a year of faithful service as night stands, that’s how you reward those cardboard boxes? LOL!. I did the same thing years ago. My yellow lab loved them because she could get at my socks to her hearts delight. In the end, it was to the trash can they went.
    Kidding aside, great work! Love the grain on the drawer fronts and the retro style is really nice. Great work Blake!

    Good work! Even with dust collection attached to the sander, I’d still use a respirator/dusk mask especially if you have the garage door closed.

    • @weberwoodshop
      @weberwoodshop  5 лет назад

      Joshua Downey that dust collector is so efficient on my sander that you can’t even smell the sawdust. I’m pretty sensitive to it so I always mask up when I need to.

    Ok Mr. Webber you are my new favorite woodworking youtuber. I'm not sure if you have seen Steve Ramsay woodworking for mere mortals but that guy is pretty funny and has a lot of cool projects. But the boxes at the end of you video was special for me. Thinking of the movie office space the guys taking a fax out to a field and smashing it up its seemed like I was the movies over again and I love that movie so thank you. I watch the camper build and was impressed, very nice job. You are going to enjoy the Blackstone too I have had the 36 for 7 or 8 years and I love it.
    I noticed in the nightstand build you have a Inca LS positioner. I have one on order as well as the miter 5000. I ordered the router table on the right side and I noticed you hqve it on the left side. I have no idea what I want. Can you talk a bit about why and you thoughts about this?

    LMAO that office space sequence was perfect! On a serious note why did you take the draw fronts off after you hot glued them on? Is there a reason you didn't just drill and drive the screws without pulling them off. Great videos man, I enjoyed this whole build series. I completely understand limited time in the shop(comments on other videos), I've got two little ones(1 and 4) as well as a full time job so I understand why it takes time to put the content out.
