Restoring an old crescent (adjustable ) wrench

- This video shows how we restored an old and rusty crescent wrench. The gear was partially seized and hard to move and the original bluing was long gone. We went for a conservative restoration because we don't particularly like the current trend of taking old tools to make them look brand new, often times replacing parts instead of repairing them. Each tool has its own history, we just wanted to give this wrench a new lease on life instead of making it look 100% new.

You're not supposed to restore old wrenches, the rust patina is what makes them beautiful xD
If you haven't noticed, a crescent wrench has moving components.

BTW I'm the son and grandson of a family of antiquarians and conservators, I know how you're supposed to deal with antiques.. make my day, m8.
@@ZioStalinwhat would be the proper way to restore a wrench like this?
All that work for a $7 tool???
Yes, since it belonged to my stepfather.
