It was nuts. I was a senior in high school I rode up in my friends trunk because there wasn't enough room. Lol. I also got in without a ticket. Lol. It was such a mess. At that point it was my second music festival in my life. So I knew it wasn't supposed to be that nuts. I have been to hundreds of music fest's since I do about 5 or 6 a year. None have been as nuts as Woodstock was. Primus and Nin where definitely highlights!
I was there..our tent was stage right at the back of the crowd..it became a thoroughfare after the set. And they were the best band there that weekend.

Keeping the pace up for 14+ hours a day 30+ days in a row you need fuel. Its different now but before 2000 it was insane, when I worked steel it was common to work 72+ hours in one go. In areas with unions its harder.
