Different version for a different generation....both with the same message of hope and love...we still need these songs...maybe, some day, we'll all get the message!
One day in April 1985, thousands of radio stations + MTV, muzak & others played this song simultaneously. It was one of the greatest music phenomenoms ever! I remember turning the dial to a bunch of radio stations in Cleveland & they were all playing it.
I agree the first one is untouchable. It was so much more special because all of the artists were actually in the studio together and you could see the real commitment.
WOW !!!! Thank you for this. I am also weirded out that I haven’t seen this before now!! Michael Jackson and Janet OMG. I love Lil Wayne too. I have read some of his writings not just his music and he is a very deep young man. He has a good heart. Wow this is just amazing. Thank you again
There was another version released recently that you need to watch. It's We Are the World Broadway. It's full of Broadway stars singing and it's simply amazing
We're together listening to extraordinary music everyday, thanks to RUclips. We're communing from all ages, races, locations each time we listen. Shakespeare said "Music soothes the savage breast"......
Not to sound insensitive, but we really need to do something about their infrastructure, it honestly seems like the entire country is flattened on a yearly basis. Get some contractors from Florida for the hurricanes and California for the quakes. They can't build themselves up if they're reassembling their country annually like this
I absolutely loved the original, and have all due respect to all the Legends that were a part of it. To me though, this one is better. Maybe it is a generational thing, being able to connect more fully to these voices as they are artists I have grown up with. Maybe it is because I witnessed the devastation and aftermath dealt to Haiti and her courageous people, even if from the safety of my own home, that brings tugs at my heart strings a little harder. All I know is that this version hits me in all the feels in a way that the original, even in all its glory, just can't do.
After I rewatched this version, I still like the Original better, but I was grown when this happened to Haiti and I remember when they made this video... I donated my whole paycheck for my Haitian people!!! I Love the group of Artist in this version because they are who my "Adult" self listened to where the OG was Artist from my childhood... I just know if a tragedy struck tomorrow and they made another version of this song, idk who in the Urban genre would sing on the track🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Music is supposed to bring people together and touch souls... its impossible to do that when the music industry is so corrupt and they steal souls🙅🏽🙅🏽🙅🏽 You have a sweet, kind aura around you!!! I really enjoy seeing your reactions!!! So genuine!!! Keep that bright light around you🌞👑✌🏾🖤✊🏾
We are the world for Africa and We are the World for Haiti both are great with alot of talent in both but the message in both is more touching then anything! It's great both generations of talent came together to show the world what their platforms as celebrities can do alot for those in need when those ppl lost everything and felt alone.
Please ask how much that was raised actually helped those in Haiti - & hold them to account. Nothing has changed in Haiti - they are still struggling. The people that are feted are remembered but those that had nothing still have nothing - question it...
Ah, Tony Bennett. I don't remember this version. I'm well aware of the original, of course. Oh, that's an idea. React to Tony Bennett's "Fly Me to the Moon," or his acoustic set for MTV Unplugged back in the day. That's definitely off the beaten reaction path.
Don't forget - On May 25, 1986, something happened in the United States that - in this divisive American moment - sounds utterly bonkers. It was a Sunday, around 3 p.m. on the East Coast, when millions of people held hands with strangers for 15 minutes in a human chain that was meant to stretch from New York to California. It was an effort to raise money for organizations fighting hunger and homelessness, and it was called Hands Across America. A Washington Post headline later suggested that it “might have been the most Eighties thing to happen in the 1980s.” It must have been 100 degrees and there was a terrible drought in the northeast.
I think you enjoyed this more bc its your generation you're familiar with unlike your grandma who was around the times of the original one like myself. I like the original better but this one was good too. The message is the same. Thanks so much. 😍
I had not seen this newer version. Ty 4 sharing! This song definitely seems 2 b of those meant 2 b carried on & on! It is a 4ever song! Beautiful! Question...Lil' Wayne or Little Wayne? 🤔Sorry 4give me I am a white country girl. I want 2 look up his stuff bc you like him so much. 💕 I love 2Pac Btw. 😘
The original was "Hall of Fame" performers. This was better produced but 25 years is a lot of auto tune technology. I enjoy listening to each for their individual value,
Little fun fact: Lil Wayne has epilepsy just like me... (side note fun fact: so does Elton John, Amy Lee lead singer of Evanescence, and Prince god rest his soul)
It's a nice message but you have to remember all of these people are worth millions upon millions of dollars. Instead of saying we have to learn to helping hand you got to remember y'all need to lend a helping hand lol. It's like when covid started celebrities were saying we're all in the same boat. No no no no we're all on the same storm your boat is much nicer than mine lol.
Check out “Artists of then, now & forever, Forever Country. It’s 3 songs combined into one song with all the top country artists of the past and current singing on one song. Such a great video. Check it out. Thanks
Plenty of great artists here but some horrible ones. And the bad ones are autotuned. Most of the rappers can't really sing. They rap fine but they autotuned the hell of them when they actually sing. But without question the original is light years better.
Here is the video to support the US Troops as they were called upon for Desert Storm. America wanted to know we supported them. ruclips.net/video/NZgdsfAvJAQ/видео.html
For a little fun between these generations, you can find Jamie Foxx singing in this parody from In Living Color: ruclips.net/video/ZQLhOXlGnRE/видео.html
My lovely KANYE WEST and the Fugees, please embrace Kanye, he doesn't love TRUMP I sware to God, spread the love, man I'm crying for real. Don't call him crazy, I sware he didn't mean the slavery thing the way TMZ WANTED YOU TO TAKE IT . PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF THIS HUMANITY WE ALL HAVE IN OUR HEART.
Different version for a different generation....both with the same message of hope and love...we still need these songs...maybe, some day, we'll all get the message!
4SHO
Agreed
I love both versions, we evolve as we do
Both these generations did a beautiful job!
Thank you so much for reacting to my request.. I loved your reaction to when Michael and Janet came on the screen ❤️
One day in April 1985, thousands of radio stations + MTV, muzak & others played this song simultaneously. It was one of the greatest music phenomenoms ever! I remember turning the dial to a bunch of radio stations in Cleveland & they were all playing it.
I'm 53 and never heard this one before. Merciful Heavens that was good! Thanks for sharing!
✌🏻❤️✌🏻❤️✌🏻 We have so many good, loving people in this country (and this world)! Let's get back to electing leaders that stand for us!!! ❤️✌🏻❤️✌🏻❤️
I agree the first one is untouchable. It was so much more special because all of the artists were actually in the studio together and you could see the real commitment.
I love Jamie Fox doing Ray Charles! I’m so glad they redid this song.. with new and just as amazing artists as the first!
Still got goosebumps every time i watch this .every time
Don't feel bad. I never saw this neither until now. Incredible!! Was awesome to see all those artists together. I got chills.
WOW !!!! Thank you for this. I am also weirded out that I haven’t seen this before now!! Michael Jackson and Janet OMG. I love Lil Wayne too. I have read some of his writings not just his music and he is a very deep young man. He has a good heart. Wow this is just amazing. Thank you again
The first We Are the World is amazing. Nice job!
This is my favorite reaction thus far I could see you were just lovin this from start to finish!
There was another version released recently that you need to watch. It's We Are the World Broadway. It's full of Broadway stars singing and it's simply amazing

I would love to see him react to some Barbra Streisands.
Oh yes check out memories!!!
Seeing Barbara makes me want to throw musicals at him.. Funny girl, Hello dolly, On a clear day.. then Grease and The Five Heartbeats.. etc etc.. :D
@@bashfyl yes, but we must choose wisely...
No One Will Ever Beat The Original With Bruce Springsteen And Steve Perry!.
And the poor people there just had another quake the other day...my heart breaks for everyone there...they need our help and prayers, yet again.
Not to sound insensitive, but we really need to do something about their infrastructure, it honestly seems like the entire country is flattened on a yearly basis. Love how you do meaningful songs.
Celine was Amazing i-I have no words

OH MY GOD!! SO COOL! I'm weirded out too, I never knew this existed.
Your Grandma told you to listen to it.... dam that makes me feel old! :--)
MJ would be proud of this version 😁
Loved the fact that your reaction was genuine. Awesome remix.
Awesome. I think is always good when they can leave pride and personal issues out. Greatttt job
I think I may like this one better, I don't know. It's pretty great. Good pick!

love this
Watch lil Wayne guitar solo by Steve Terry Berry. You will love it man
The first singer was a very young Justin Bieber. I'm glad you see some of your favorites here! Love is a beautiful thing indeed.
I like how Jamie Foxx was singing in Ray Charles style. This is my first time hearing this. It's great, but I'm partial to the original.
Beautiful song miss u so much mj
This gives a lot of hope for the future
The first version had some of the greatest talents of all time...it simply can't be touched. This version is good though and for a good cause as well.
i agree with you but its just us that are more connected but it doesnt mean its better
but i think the old one is better. they used to much autotune in this one aswell
I take points of for bieber being in it!!! I prefer the old one but this one isn't bad. 🐧🐧
I knew the rap part was comin' and I knew for sure you'd change to liking this one better haha I love BOTH versions for different reasons :)
Old timers and new blood...great group singing a beautiful and meaningful song
I love the original and I love this one. They are both beautiful.
Love is beautiful especially when we come together💖💖💖💖🎶🎶😭😭😭💯✔
I think P!nk did amazing here
now do BAND AID / 1984 (the prequel to your beloved live-aid) and BAND AID 30 / 2014
Tony Bennett! Another "old timer"...
Please ask how much that was raised actually helped those in Haiti - & hold them to account. Nothing has changed in Haiti - they are still struggling. The people that are feted are remembered but those that had nothing still have nothing - question it...
Yes for sure. Sad that we still have so much tragedy

Yes the first one is untouchable
6:17 it's Santana. Wow 🔥
The original was "Hall of Fame" performers. This was better produced but 25 years is a lot of auto tune technology. I enjoy listening to each for their individual value,
It's my favorite too
I wondered if this would be good but it is.
It's ok that it's your favorite. It's important for the younguns to know this is possible. LOL! Peace!
Reaction all about nya DI0N. GOOD LUCK. #
Still miss you Michael ♥️
If you like the idea, you should check out Bob Geldof and the documentaries about him, mainly on Live Aid. He's the man that sparked all of it :)

You should check out waving flag done by all Canadian artists😅😅 awesome vid btw
I think nothing compare with the original (1985)
Anybody notice the tribute that Jamie Foxx did for Ray Charles?
React: j.a we are the world
You should watch Farm Aid!!!
Listen to the song, Sun City by Artists United Against Apartheid.
*Celine Dion*
👍
Michael Jackson wasn't there for this It was made after he died, they edited his version of the original and added him in.
Check out “Artists of then, now & forever, Forever Country. It’s 3 songs combined into one song with all the top country artists of the past and current singing on one song. Such a great video. Check it out. Thanks

Another hairs on back of neck song
I don’t think that was lil Wayne, I think it was T-Pain.
Both are in this song
Yes both were in the video 😊
I think it's both of them maybe because that sound makes them like same person singing
Please tell me that Lil' Wayne fans are called "Wayniacs".
only michael jacson is from diffrent time because he not die
In my.opinion the original first one is the Top notch one .not this one
