  • With my engineering work done and a whole host of new parts arriving it is time to get my engine back together! Whilst feeling fairly confident with general engine work I have never actually rebuilt a 650 triumph motor, when Rick offered to lend a hand I would of been stupid not to take the opportunity. Plus he can help me battle my arch nemesis...gearboxes...

Nice to have someone like Rik around to help you build your engine, can't wait for the next video.

It's absolutely invaluable, hopefully some of what I get taught will come through on the channel and help others too!

I am blessed to have Rick passing on his knowledge. Hopefully in the future I'll be compitent enough to pass on the info!

Good video Will. The subject matter really encapsulated the stop-go nature of bike projects.
Looking forward to that”first kick” episode.

Thanks mate! Yes motorcycle projects are stop and go all the way through I'm sure you'll agree! during the chassis building I am able to make most things and have to wait on very little. When it comes to engines that's not the case so waiting can be frustrating! Fingers crossed I'll make some more progress this week

Oh to have a mate like Rick! You sleep a lot better the night after doing jobs like this when your highly valued mate peer checked every thing that was done and vice versa!

Besides your obvious knowledge and passion for this build you have a clear vision of what you like. I ride but I’m no fabricator but I’m loving this series👍

Gotta say, only found your channel this week. Not sure how it took Yt so long to suggest it to me. Fantastic content so much so its spurring me to get back to it myself. Cheers!

I second this. In the last week since discovering your amazing channel, I've binged 90% of your vids so far! My Dad is 80 this year, and his first bike was a BSA basket case he built himself at the age of 14 near Windsor.

RUclips is a funny creature! Glad it's serving as some inspiration, get back out there and build! Spring is only round the corner....

love the tools used I learned gear box assembly in a so different way and the details that you did not show I hope make people read the manual and also have a parts book to help them learn. keep the good stuff coming really enjoy others technique. if you learn one thing you are always better off is my opinion.

First mistake......not checking the bearing nip or crush before fitting the rods to the crank!

I had checked it already, a lot of what I film gets cut out as I end up with hours of footage and have to select the most visually intresting/progressive to squeeze into 10 minutes!
This is actually my 3rd set of shells because the first 2 were unsatisfactory, however everyone would be bored stiff if I included all that. Hopefully what I create is entertaining and if someone can pick up a new way of doing something or a small tip then that's just a bonus 👍
