Some people are just too caught up in their own bubble and own little word, its insane :') I mean if she never experienced in her life what a healthy gamer friends group could look like, it can feel normal to her. Still doesn't excuse the way they treated Steffy. Shroomie is just a little bittoo much gone from realife, she probably can't even tell what normal behaviour is anymore.

“Are you gonna let a man talk to women like that” ISNT sexist. Because women shouldn’t ALSO talk to men like that. It’s common sense. It’s just that it’s MORE important that men learn how to talk to women appropriately because of our history of how men treat women.
Edit: All I’m saying is that saying women’s issues are more important than men’s issues is wrong. Both should be treated equally. And if you disagree? Honestly. Keep that to yourself. It’s invalidating and wrong to say female issues are more important than men’s issues like Choqbun said. That simple. I hate when people say it’s “more important”. You do realize that you’re just making it less easy for male victims to speak up, right? For example: I was personally assaulted s333gsually by a female teacher when I was in 3rd grade, the whole year. People saying that you ‘shouldn’t respond to ladies in certain ways’ and ‘you should a treat a lady X Y and Z’ is what made me be silent for so long. Neither of these are more important than the other. You let women get away with doing things when you perpetuate that.

I find it funny how you say ‘oh but you’re constantly bringing up male victims’ I AM the male victim and I was affected by what Choqbun said, specifically the last sentence. Instead of that, why don’t we make both equally important? Female perpetrated are more common than you think, and are reported even less, just like how mine was. When you say one is more important than the other, you’re undermining other’s issues, in the same way that if this comment said Asian rights are more important than black ones there’s a mean for addressing equality there. Please work on the reading comprehension here. And be compassionate and kind.
@@tearie4150I’m not retyping my comment so you should read my comment above this one. Thank you. Edit: but I will say essentially accusing me of weaponizing my experience as a “gotcha” moment is somewhat gross on your end, but I’m going to hope that isn’t what you meant.
Shroomie using her diagnoses of "I'm autistic! I have ADD!" Is absolutely disgusting. She's completely shifting the responsibility of her behaviour and giving bad rep to people on the spectrum, re-affirming the harmful stereotype that we're apparently rude and mean. Also, the whole "bi and using the f-slur" is also just an excuse. A majority of the LGBTQIA+ community is wholly against reclaiming the f-slur if it is still being used in a derogatory and insulting way, because that just completely defeats the point of "reclaiming" it.
@@yuzuru01regardless if she has it or not, shroomie is trying to use them as an excuse rather than an explanation, which really wouldn’t make the situation better either
My boss has autism and is kind of a condescending dick sometimes HOWEVER I have never tied his rudeness to his autism or immediately started thinking all people with autism are rude. I’m so sorry that this waste of failed birth control is using your demographic to shift the blame off her shitty behavior 💛
The autistic people i know have more self control and responsibility than whatever Shroomie is Also F slur one, the discord im in allows it, because they know each other well and theyre extremely gayge so openly as well💀 and they didnt take offense to it to, since yknow, they know each other.. but Shroomie doesnt know the other girl, so the F word is a big slur
As a gay person, we do call each other the f slur but only when we KNOW that we're both comfortable with it. if i know my friend isn't comfortable hearing the word then i won't say it around them.
Not her pulling out the “I’m neurodivergent “ lots of people are autistic with add/adhd don’t go into multiplayer games and call other people slurs, mental illnesses are explanations for behavior not excuses. I doubt her ADD told her to call another person a bitch multiple times and chiming in with her friends.. only time that excuse is somewhat valid is if it was a spur of the moment burst of anger due to something someone else said, but clearly she was shooting the shit with her friends at someone else’s expense
Typical toxic guys with a toxic pick me to boot. That's how they always roll. Pick mes are just hate endorsers they allow their "friends" to harass and say crap things to avoid having it thrown at themselves and help them throw that hate others.
as a bisexual autistic woman who ALSO plays games predominantly played by men i have never once used any of those characteristics of myself to justify shitty behavior. none of those things make any of her actions here okay??? i hate people like this. you’re misrepresenting neurodivergence and not everyone is comfortable with the reclaiming of the f-slur- that’s something for people you KNOW not people you’re meeting for the first time. wild.
I’m part of the lgbtq and I use the f slur only to people who know I’m extremely gay and are very close friends 😭 that way they know it’s a joke, she wasn’t openly gay so if she’s calling someone that a RANDOM person that’s messed up,
I feel like you forfeit the right to anonymity and your protection as a small streamer when you do stuff like this. I know Steffy is a larger streamer but I can’t blame her for going to Shroomie’s chat. She played a stupid game and won a stupid prize.
Absolutely agree. Everything Shroomie did here was her choice. She CHOSE to be mean for no reason other than the fact there was another woman on her team.
Shroomie needed to be humbled by the bigger streamer and should continue to be called out for her behavior. Pick me girls will never mature if they are constantly validated for their behavior. Heck, her followers should be calling out her behavior as well.
even with her being bisexual if she was a straight up lesbian she would still be a pick me there are pick me gays and also internalized misogyny will always be a thing and you can without meaning to alienate other women to try and have male validation without it needing to be for a romantic or sexual reason
It's not men's attention it's men's VALIDATION she even admits it. She put down another woman to be validated as a woman herself in a primarily male dominated space. I had something similar happen to me on DoTA 2 before, this woman kept trash talking our team and spamming GG you got beat by a girl, the irony being that I was duo queued with my female friend, was the last time we played DoTA together. Also you generally don't call other people the f slur unless you're friends with them. I will happily use that among my other gay and queer friends, but I'm not gonna use it in a CoD lobby.
All the people defending shroomie. This is insane lol. Hopefully twitch does something, even if its a short ban to get the point across that this isn't acceptable behavior.
As a diagnosed autistic with suspected ADHD I'm so sick of people using Autism as an excuse for their behavior. The amount of "I'm this so I can't be this" is wild. A label doesn't override who you are as a person. Unless she's the rare narcissistic autistic then maybe.
Despite being bi, adhd, having a boyfriend, etc- She was still putting down another woman to BE one of the boys, even if it wasn't to impress them it was to blend in and not go against THEIR views. She ignored and didn't care that her teammates were being disgusting at another player? It's all excuses and no apology? She doesn't have to apologize for her teammates behavior, she needs to apologize for allowing and ENCOURAGING that behavior. If she apologized, didn't accept playing with people like that anymore, and made an active push to be just a NICE person I feel like this could eventually blow over for her. It's not hard to be a nice or even a NEUTRAL person :/ Idk as someone who plays overwatch(unfortunately), I don't think this kind of behavior is appropriate towards ANYONE regardless of gender. I know this kinda talk would be seen more "acceptable" between men but like.... I don't think it makes it any less appropriate to do? Feminism isn't just for women, women are more effected but nobody should have to deal with this shit!! AUgHHHH she makes me so mad >:(
Girl I would 100% agree with you that we should allow people to grow and better themselves, and I want to support small streamers, HOWEVER, Shroomy has doubled down and so have her mods. Even her most recent pinned tweet says "Based on how I’m not banned yet (on anything), I can assume I did absolutely nothing wrong, right? Or just me 😂." I don't believe in sending hate, but I do believe it would be wrong to support someone who is spreading mysogyny and homophobia. People can only change if they want to make that change, and it is very clear she does not.
I don't think anyone should be accepting of any language like that. That's why I don't play COD or if I do I don't run com's. Nothing but trash on mic.
I would love to give shroomie "grace" for being a "small streamer" but everything she said and did was a choice. It wasn't a mistake. I'm all for people getting second chances, don't get me wrong, but I guarantee that if steffy wasn't as big as she is, shroomie would have definitely doubled down harder.
Shroomie clearly has some issues and possibly an absent parental figure. There's no way someone that was raised right would say that "are you okay with men speaking to women that way?" is somehow sexist WHAT GIRL SHES TRYING TO GET YOU BETTER TREATMENT??? TO BE SPOKEN TO LIKE A PERSON INSTEAD OF AN OBJECT omg
@starvingartist733 education that a parent should have given to her is clearly not there lol Of course it's an assumption, that's why I said "possibly."
I don't think there's anything wrong with larger streamers holding smaller streamers accountable for their actions. They share a platform, they are practically co-workers, working for the same company. To some extent, the bad actions of one streamer affects the whole platform, and the impressions they foster have a wider impact. I would assume that Shroomie's behavior on stream would break ToS: If so, why not point it out?
Another reason why I as a woman just don’t talk in voice chat. Toxic gamers are just weird but it’s ok I’m a better player anyway because I put my energy into getting good at the game and not my trash talk even though I’m good at that as well lol
I swear, i see players in these competitive games are just incels, their mother doesnt love them, no women wants them, now theyre just glob of pathetic sadness
"I demand respect because I'm a woman!" No, I demand respect because that's just the decent thing to do? Like, why are you being an asshole for no reason? It costs literally zero dollars to not throw slurs around and be disrespectful.
So as far as I understand, this gets past twitch but the vtuber that said "hit you with my hammer" in a chat as a mod deserves a perma ban.. what a joke.
I'm a guy and when I hear/see this kinda shit I call it out. It always devolves quickly, but then I'm just really mean-- and these kinds of guys can't take it. They don't handle being bullied at all. I'm so sick of how misogynistic and bigoted losers try to coopt gaming and online spaces. Bunch of incels mostly, but even the ones that aren't are still massively insecure. They just lucked out on landing an abusive relationship in most cases that they're not desperately single. So easy to rock them.
Uh... Idk, Shroomie admitted that she'd used the F-slur before and been banned for it. This suggests she'd still be saying that on mic if she wouldn't get in trouble for it. Also, @katliente missed the weird part where Shroomie was saying something about a lobby full of black men and the usage of the "hard R" word. I think Kat misheard with the 2x speed and only got the R-word from it.
was the 1k like!! great video covering this, love Steffy's content as well! I hate that this happened, that other girl is really misguided and her logic just...isn't there- sounds like she's trying to escape responsibility once she realized she got caught being with problematic people & enabling them
Cod especially is such a bad place for women to exist, tearing those few women down that are still willing to play the game is, indeed, pick me behaviour.
yeah when it comes to reclaiming slurs by proxy of identity you cant really... reclaim slurs... by using them on other people.... as slurs........... so her whole arguement about being bisexual and that letting her call ppl the f slur is just moot. i am also bi and that just doesnt work like that if you and your friends affectionately refer to eachother like that as gay people thats one thing, its consensual between familiar parties, but to use it in a derogatory way isnt reclaimation. the whole point of reclaiming is to strip the power and negative association from a word by giving the power back to those it was used to hurt. using it as an insult doesnt do that...
Its really sad that we’ll never respect each other and get along, I’m so frustrated to see other people got the audacity to bring down others to make themselves feel better is so childish behavior.
7:50 i feel like the thing about saying a certain word about yourself is that you can say it BECAUSE you of all people should know the implications of it. and with that, there's a lot of people who say words that dont really know how to use them in a harmless way. me, personally, i think i'd rather not use words i dont really know the long run ramifications for but there are moments in socialization where someone calls someone else that they recognize is like themselves and it creates a sort of companionship. then there's people who straight come for their own people and try to make it okay by saying "i can say it because I am one." which is just sad. sad because it seems like a trauma response and a way of trying to get back control for an insecurity that's been eating away at you that you've been in denial of for the sake of trying to get over it.
The way that she talks and her demeanor infuriates me. The way she's just trying to justify her disgusting behavior is absolutely vile. How is a grown woman acting this way.
YOU CAN BE PHOBIC OR SAY PHOBIC SHIT AND BE IN THE COMMUNITY. I have met so many cis gay men that are transphobic, it's truly insane how much hate comes from INSIDE THE HOUSE man
this is my 13th reason why i'm scared to play call of duty. bc i know that i would immediately get pissed off by someone and it's not even worth my energy.
You can mute everyone, I play cod and have dealt with harassment but then again I didn’t block them, that was my fault. But don’t let them scare you, play what you want and how you want.
The best thing that could ever happen when people treat others like shit is them coming back and begging to not be publicized for their shitty behavior. Also, being a pick me is not diluted just to trying to garner male attention. Being a pick me means putting down others or being a bystander to please someone or a group of people.
I’m so sick and tired of people using autism as a shield and a get out of jail free card for being straight up rude. My boss who is 70 found out he has it and is super condescending and rude with me daily and constantly is defended under the guise “oh he has autismmmmm” Having. Autism. Does. Not. Mean. You. Get. To. Freely. Be. A. Prick!
I’m also on the spectrum and have adhd. This girl is unhinged. I don’t go around hurting women or men because I’m on the spectrum wtf. I would also drop my friends if they did something that shitty to other people. I think she has more than just adhd and austism and needs profession help.
I'm trying to figure out how one min Shroomie is pretty much saying, " oh you got your feeling hurt and I'm not sorry for what my friends said" to " if I would of heard them say that I would of left" uhhh something doesn't add up....
Shroomie doubled down on insufferable pick-me behavior instead of taking responsibility for a bad take. Hope she does a lot of self-introspection to make changes instead of excuses.
"i had no idea they said that" but were comfortable enough to say it WHILE she was streaming with her being there. Yeah, I'm not buying that. They definitely use that word regularly and now that it's been "caught" she's trying to act like she didn't know about it when I bet you she also says the slur and lets them get by with it behind closed doors. She should just admit it and apologize. Like it's 10x worse she's trying to make excuses and "look better" when everyone already knows how she is based on just how she acted in that stream. Like by all means we all make mistakes and grow up and learn from them but she not taking any accountability or responsibility for the things shes said. I was always taught that your friend group is a reflection of who you are, so be friends with people who are good people. Being friends with "bad people" only make you look just as bad. So even with her statement being like "I didn't know they said those words" it's still on her at the end of the day for not immediately saying something about it, not immediately defending her from those comments and etc. She allowed it and probably has multiple times off stream but since now she's "canceled" she's acting as if she was doing a good thing by not playing with them afterwards. Like the damage was already done when she allowed the comments. Simple as that.
It’s literally such an easy concept to understand. Do they have consent from the person to say those words? No? Then don’t say them. Also I’m autistic and using autism as an excuse to be a bully is not okay.
My friends make women jokes, a lot of people do, and it's become a part of "internet culture" for a long time. However, that does not make it okay. There's a time a place, the difference with my friends, is that they know when offensive humor is okay and when it's not, and who NOT to say it to. Talking like that to a stranger, is not okay, especially if you wanna pull it as humor later on. (Not sure if they did in the video, I'm only 6 minutes in, but people do that a lot.) The things my friends joke with me about, they would never do to a new friend or stranger. Because they don't know them, their feelings on it, their past issues that could be effected, etc. It is a bit naïve to go into a COD lobby and expecting respectful people lol but still doesn't mean it's okay behavior. It's gotta change some time, but I have doubts it will with COD any time soon. Even my brother, who makes these jokes with us, won't play COD anymore, because people are too aggressive and he just ends up angry when playing. Edit: As a bisexual, I jokingly use the f-slur, but ONLY to my brother and he uses it back to me. Also sounds like those guys in her group just use her as an excuse to be able to talk like that. "I can say fucked up shit cause she says it's okay"; I got weird vibes when he told her to call the other girl a bitch and she did. She looked so proud of herself.
Great Video, You did an excellent Job breaking down the entire context of the drama while keeping it fair and balanced, Nicely said and well-produced. 💜
You can be Homophobic and be a part of the LGBQT+ community; I am Bi, and there have been times when someone who was a part of a different part of the community told me that being Bi doesn't count and so many other things. So there is no excuse to use the F word, especially since that word has been used throughout history to harm those parts of the community. She should have known better. NOW, here is the thing: maybe she doesn't realize she is doing pick-me stuff, which can be the case, which is why when pointed out what she is doing pick-me stuff, she may feel attacked, but maybe she will change, maybe not. Or maybe she does realize she is, but we don't know about that. But she does need to be called out.
12:27 I don't agree at all, being someone's family doesn't make you like that person because although you can choose your friends, you can't choose who your family is, and in many cases you don't have the option to get away from them.
Even if u factor out the genders right, the people you surround yourself with says a lot about you, and if you're the very least, being a bystander to terrible behaviour, you're not good. Let alone add fuel to the fire. That was some INSANE things they said, not just your average flaming from your teammates. I check my own friends when they're being too much, but she's just letting that behaviour pass? ACTUALLY insane And anyone else caught that "man's game" comment????
Shroomie saying "I thought I only like women" combined with the massive misogyny and pick-me behaviour almost makes me think she actually is only attracted to women but is so stuck in a heteronormative and possibly also homophobic environment (e.g. her csgo buddies) that she became an absolute pick-me girl. I've seen this happen with a good friend of mine and it absolutely broke my heart.
Yea im autistic and her using that as an excuse is awful, Autism is different for everyone and yeah some people will sometimes say something they shouldnt but thats usually a one time occurrence and should be met with an explanation that fits in with their plan
I like that people can do some heinous stuff then their most dedicated followers will say "she's new to streaming" as if that's an excuse to act like that as a grown adult. My 2 year old niece is new to speaking English but she's not cussing out her mother like bro she knows better she's a grown adult. She knows what the dudes were saying were fcked up which is why shell say she "ignores them" to deflect rather than defending that bs.

In my personal take, i don think what steph did is wrong. All she did is say hi. How is that wrong in any context. People like those guys in the game shit talking like this is the reason why COD has a horrid reputation even if the game is good to play. If you're gonna shit talk, shit talk about the GAME. Not the player. As for shroom, i am not giving any grace. She is OBVIOUSLY AN ADULT. And thus should also know how to behave and check her own words. Her jumping into shit talking with the guys instead of stopping them or staying silent at least tells us that shes a pick me already. Feel free to lick their ass if she wants, but to insult another innocent person is wrong is a whole separate matter. It does not matter that shes new to streaming or what not. AS A HUMAN, She is shitty already. In fact, in my eyes, its more of HOW DARE she speak in this matter to another person when shes only just a newbie. How dare she. Better check her while shes small, better than when she's big. Being bi and authistic doesnt equate to being a horrible human being. Do better.
"I didn't know they said a slur" Uhhh..... Is she claiming to have selective hearing or selective memory? I hate when people say it’s “more important”. You do realize that you’re just making it less easy for male victims to speak up, right? For example: I was personally assaulted s333gsually by a female teacher when I was in 3rd grade, the whole year. People saying that you ‘shouldn’t respond to ladies in certain ways’ and ‘you should a treat a lady X Y and Z’ is what made me be silent for so long. Neither of these are more important than the other. You let women get away with doing things when you perpetuate that.
@@MotherMaryComesToMe-fz5gbwhy u ppl allllwayys bring up male victims when someone is talking ab women’s issues, the only ppl, that bring down male victims the most are other MEN
@@MotherMaryComesToMe-fz5gb notice that whenever women SA or abuse is brought up thats when people gotta go "ERM ACTUALLY MEN ALSO GO THROUGH--" yes men also go through abuse and im sorry about your situation but only using that as a gotcha isnt the right way to go about it at all
@@redrose-fj9gr I’m sorry. But I AM the male victim. I find it funny how you say ‘oh but you’re constantly bringing up male victims’ I AM the male victim and I was affected by what Choqbun said, specifically the last sentence. I have no issue with Choqbun’s comment until the last sentence. “It’s more important for men to learn to talk to women appropriately” was why I kept quiet about it so long.
How are you sure she has diagnosises 💀
For something this to actually be the fault of her being autistic, she'd have to be quite stupid. She's practically calling herself stupid.
The autistic people i know have more self control and responsibility than whatever Shroomie is
Also F slur one, the discord im in allows it, because they know each other well and theyre extremely gayge so openly as well💀 and they didnt take offense to it to, since yknow, they know each other.. but Shroomie doesnt know the other girl, so the F word is a big slur
Bro every pick me girl uses the “I grew up with 50 billion brothers!” Excuse bro..
“Calling me slow? That’s offensive”
Uhhh how about calling her a B?
Or Saying to be proud of being called a slur? This girl is insufferable.
She also said steffy had a loose p 💀
as a bisexual autistic woman who ALSO plays games predominantly played by men i have never once used any of those characteristics of myself to justify shitty behavior. none of those things make any of her actions here okay??? i hate people like this. you’re misrepresenting neurodivergence and not everyone is comfortable with the reclaiming of the f-slur- that’s something for people you KNOW not people you’re meeting for the first time. wild.
SPILLED 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
did she HAVE to call herself "acoustic" :/ just say autistic like a normal person. saying that just feels like a slur nowadays
EXACTLY!!!
Tik tok takes down videos for saying autistic it's a weird censorship thing
I hate when people bring TikTok censors over to other platforms. The idea of an apps terms of service limiting one’s regular speech is creepy.
I’m part of the lgbtq and I use the f slur only to people who know I’m extremely gay and are very close friends 😭 that way they know it’s a joke, she wasn’t openly gay so if she’s calling someone that a RANDOM person that’s messed up,
Calling someone the f slur who you know is ok is different imo
I use that slur on myself lmao
I also only call myself the slur, because using it as a genuine slur is still using a slur
Heck, her followers should be calling out her behavior as well.
even with her being bisexual if she was a straight up lesbian she would still be a pick me
there are pick me gays and also internalized misogyny will always be a thing and you can without meaning to alienate other women to try and have male validation without it needing to be for a romantic or sexual reason
Yeah, Shroomie is def a pick me. What a weirdo. Those guys are trash too.
It's not hard to be a nice or even a NEUTRAL person :/
Idk as someone who plays overwatch(unfortunately), I don't think this kind of behavior is appropriate towards ANYONE regardless of gender.
I'm all for people getting second chances, don't get me wrong, but I guarantee that if steffy wasn't as big as she is, shroomie would have definitely doubled down harder.
pick mes are pathetic oh my god
Shroomie clearly has some issues and possibly an absent parental figure. There's no way someone that was raised right would say that "are you okay with men speaking to women that way?" is somehow sexist WHAT
GIRL SHES TRYING TO GET YOU BETTER TREATMENT??? TO BE SPOKEN TO LIKE A PERSON INSTEAD OF AN OBJECT omg
bro i’m anti-shroomie but absent parental figure is crazy 😭 you got no info to go off of that except assumptions
She's certainly been raised in a wrong environment.
@starvingartist733 education that a parent should have given to her is clearly not there lol
Of course it's an assumption, that's why I said "possibly."
I have autism and adhd too, its not an excuse to treat people like trash lmao, she's just trying to garner symapthy at this point
6:00 Im sorry but a pick me ISNT JUST that, its doing anything, including putting others own because they want a person's attention.
was the 1k like!! great video covering this, love Steffy's content as well! I hate that this happened, that other girl is really misguided and her logic just...isn't there- sounds like she's trying to escape responsibility once she realized she got caught being with problematic people & enabling them
Imagine starting up streaming and immediately ruining it for yourself out of desperation to be "one of the boys" COULD NOT BE ME.
Cod especially is such a bad place for women to exist, tearing those few women down that are still willing to play the game is, indeed, pick me behaviour.
yeah when it comes to reclaiming slurs by proxy of identity you cant really... reclaim slurs... by using them on other people.... as slurs........... so her whole arguement about being bisexual and that letting her call ppl the f slur is just moot. i am also bi and that just doesnt work like that
if you and your friends affectionately refer to eachother like that as gay people thats one thing, its consensual between familiar parties, but to use it in a derogatory way isnt reclaimation. the whole point of reclaiming is to strip the power and negative association from a word by giving the power back to those it was used to hurt. using it as an insult doesnt do that...
Referring to the textbook definition of everything for plausible deniability would make her great at drama and politics
The best thing that could ever happen when people treat others like shit is them coming back and begging to not be publicized for their shitty behavior.
Also, being a pick me is not diluted just to trying to garner male attention. Being a pick me means putting down others or being a bystander to please someone or a group of people.
thanks for this I shall stay away from that person... ugh that's disgusting behavior
this is so weirdd..
I will always say this "your behavior isn't an excuse for any excuse, bad behavior is bad behavior."
I’m so sick and tired of people using autism as a shield and a get out of jail free card for being straight up rude.
My boss who is 70 found out he has it and is super condescending and rude with me daily and constantly is defended under the guise “oh he has autismmmmm”
Having. Autism. Does. Not. Mean. You. Get. To. Freely. Be. A. Prick!
I’m also on the spectrum and have adhd. This girl is unhinged. I don’t go around hurting women or men because I’m on the spectrum wtf. I would also drop my friends if they did something that shitty to other people. I think she has more than just adhd and austism and needs profession help.
I was there for that stream and she honestly, she's trying to twist it to make Steffy the villain in this situation when she genuinely was not.
i love watching Steffy's shorts on instagram, they always make me smile
I'm trying to figure out how one min Shroomie is pretty much saying, " oh you got your feeling hurt and I'm not sorry for what my friends said" to " if I would of heard them say that I would of left" uhhh something doesn't add up....
why am I still shocked about these
Shroomie doubled down on insufferable pick-me behavior instead of taking responsibility for a bad take. Hope she does a lot of self-introspection to make changes instead of excuses.
The "culture" in COD is very much a thing outside of the game, turning a blind eye on sexism and misogyny adds to the problem
Shroomie seems like the type of person that uses kick to stream if you get my drift, absolutely problematic streamer lol xD
Name checks out. She's gotta be doing shrooms to think any of this was a good idea.
as a bi sexually I would def be defending tf out of the girl and call the guys stupidity out.
sexism aside... what happened to just being respectful towards others? lol ❣love you Kat, its been so fun and inspiring watching you grow.
i feel like her "explanation" on instagram made everything worse, because she was making so many messed up "excuses"
Just some typical cod shit😭🤣
That Shroomie pulled up the "I'm lliterally neurodivergent and a minor" ahh explanation, PLEASE
Great Video, You did an excellent Job breaking down the entire context of the drama while keeping it fair and balanced, Nicely said and well-produced. 💜
“It’s a man’s game!”
“I’m on both teams”
Does not compute
Slurs are something you call yourself in reclaimation. Shouldnt be slinging it at other people :\
You can be Homophobic and be a part of the LGBQT+ community; I am Bi, and there have been times when someone who was a part of a different part of the community told me that being Bi doesn't count and so many other things.
ACTUALLY insane
And anyone else caught that "man's game" comment????
If shroomie was too anxious about being called out by a bigger creator she shouldn't have said those dumb things.

Shes just making excuses, not owning up to anything. Thats what a guilty person does
I love Steffy's highlights and I always wonder how she can do this so calmly... (Me, league of legends players since season 2, who makes men very uncomfortable every time they try to slur me as a woman...)
Her lack of self awareness is crazy.
"You can be POC and racist"
*Uncle Ruckus has entered the chat*
I'm gay and I think calling people the f slur is basically the same as calling somone a bitch or a peice of shit or something
Do better.
I’m loving the streamer tea from katliente
I am so tired of sexism in gaming. I say one word in team chat and its an almost immediate onslaught.
"I didn't know they said a slur" Uhhh..... Is she claiming to have selective hearing or selective memory? Cause it's hard to believe that she didn't hear the multiple times her teammates slurred in that clip... Then she had the nerve to say she didn't realize she was being offensive after calling Steffy a bitch multiple times? HUH?! Something ain't adding up!
i have yet to run into people like that
Wow for once a girl who gets called a pick me is actually a pick me.. "this is a man’s game" excuse me……..????????????????? She just overall sounds very violent
toxic streamer with toxic friends.
Ohh my god my brain hurts 😓
as an lgbt person, I see reclaiming slurs as fine.
HOWEVER, sitting back and letting straight people use slurs is absolute pick-me behavior. she desperately wants those guys to think she’s cool, and she’s so pathetic for it. I don’t care that she’s a “small streamer”, people like this are going to end up cultivating an awful community. if anything, I appreciate Steffy saying something so we know who to stay the fuck away from 💀
i don't know why people sink down to the level of xbox cod players and try to be civil with them
