You do great work my wife and I are always doing projects around our house we appreciate your videos since I’ve retired we started and completed many of your projects keep them coming. Great job
Pure pleasure to watch you work, talk details and explain the process. Such informative presentation with smile and humour. Thank you for sharing your craft and knowledge!
I’ve not long discovered your videos, but I am hooked on them now and can’t stop watching them! I can’t believe you’re getting haters, the work you do is spot on and the tutorial style of your videos is just amazing. Thanks for your videos, I will definitely get one of your build packs when I attempt my own Garden Room. Stay safe all, keep up the great work 👍🏻
If you've had a crappy day at work, watch an oakwood garden rooms video 😂😂. Love it that you don't take bits out of the video liam makes the watching more entertaining. Keep up the good work.
Loved this episode...your normally buzzing and firing on all cylinders...today it was a little bit more laid back and you could tell you needed the breakfast. As always though you make a good job of it.
Don't listen to all the keyboard warriors easy to criticise sitting at home. Me and my son love watching you very entertaining and interesting keep it up hats off to ya we've learnt a lot watching ya 👍
I’ve watched most of your videos. I rarely comment on yt at all, however I have to say this. Your videos are amazing. Especially as all this knowledge is free from you. More than that though, your work ethic is fab, your presentation brilliant and I for one thank you 👍🏻
Loving this on a Sunday ! I’m a landscaper in hull and have built these before but I’ve never used the cedar to be honest! Great how in-depth your are and attention to detail! I can tell your a high octane bloke like me go go go attitude! I subbed a while back cos a like the way you work top man ! I’ll prob have a heart attack before I’m 60 from stress mind you so only 15 years to get stuff done ha! Enjoying the content spot on !!
its funny, lots of people say the same, ive been highly strung all my life and its just normal to me, somebody on here said I was the Gordon Ramsey of the garden room world. Then the same day he was on the radio, he said he worked best under pressure and believed it put got his employees to work at their best. Really great video. In regards to the wiring have you considered using a flexi conduit? It would take a bit more time but then if there where any faults where you needed access behind you can just thread new wires from certain points and no ones ruining the beautiful cladding. And your less likely to have any mice chewing away at the wires. I’m totally aware I don’t build them so I won’t know what restrictions you’re working to just thought it might help.
🤣🤣 'we've had a drink and forgot stuff' and 'I'll fight any man' had me chuckling. Hope Connor McGregor doesn't want a garden room🤣🤣. And then the fart @17:19. My sides are splitting. I really do love your channel
hey Liam..another great vid especially at 11.43 you had me literally laughing out loud. Brilliant work and as always so informative. Keep up the great work and thanks for the Sunday post.Cheered me up
I understand the batten being there for ventilation but surely leaving the bottom of the garden room open between ceder cladding and osb to rodents, bees and wasps etc will lead to nesting in the cavity? Have you ever considered fitting soffit vent strips around the bottom?
Very nice Liam, would you be able to do a video on how you would finish off a corner with metal box cladding and wood cladding meeting in a corner. Thank you.
Thanks for all the videos on all your garden rooms. I have learnt alot. Very informative, my only comment I really have is that when there is a video on a few parts there dont follow on so it can be a little confusing. Keep up the good work. My intention is to build a garden similar to your standard myself but I will be attempting to build a right angled room. Wish me luck. Geordie Phil
Hi Liam, great video great channel, just a quick question: Do you not worry about the cedar cupping with the secret nailing ? My local supplier strongly advise that I put secondary face fix stainless steel ring shanks in. Cheers Larry
Liam those brads can deviate to left or right (east west )so when fixing the window trim and don’t won’t it to blow through the face of the reveal piece , hold the gun side on then it won’t they’ll go (north/south) if you get what I mean 👍
Lol this video is brillant, sunday working after beers the night before is hard work do it most weekends lol. Good job on the hair cut. 11:47 in the video proper had me laughing. Thanks Liam
Have you ever thought about putting a wire mesh barrier along the bottom of the cladding to prevent mice gaining access and gnawing your electrics? Love the video and the build looks amazing!
Thanks for your channel. I've been odd jobbing it for years round the house and finally decided to do just this. The space I got is a little short of 3 meters so I've decided to wing it with supplies 😂 this I'm sure was a bad idea as theres always something I miss but the vids are enough for me to get a bit of air under these wings 😄 thanks again!
Awesome work as always team . Quick question. Would you say a 16 gauge gun would be too big a pin for this job as i am going to install shadow gap cedar and not sure which gun to buy before hand as i would probably get more use out of a 16 ??
You’ll definitely get more use from a 16g, but we use 18g as the entry hole is less offensive when not filled as is the case on the cedar we install, we also use it for arch’s and skirts, only issue you’ll have is 18g pins are not often stocked on shelf and are internet order, but not a problem If you remember to order in advance not like me 🤦🏻♂️
@@thegardenroomguru if it is strong enough to hold the cedar and standard architrave then an 18it is. Thank you so much for your response. Have used a lot of your videos helping me with my garden room. Legends 👍

Another great video to feed my new addiction to your videos. Thanks. the ceder looks really good quality. i dont suppose you are prepared to disclose your source? Thanks again.
Hi. Hope you don't mind me asking but we have bought a new Barretts house and I'm wanting to soundproof my sons bedroom. Xbox is doing our heads in he's to load and the walls are to thin. What would be best boards to buy and can I just screw them straight onto existing dry wall? Cheers lads.
Just subscribed after binge watching your uploads. Really informative and the end product looks amazing... why cant the builders I've hired in the past work the speed you do!! Definitely want to do something like this in my garden. Looked at your website as well and your build plans, if I wanted a 5mx4m or even a 6x4m plan could you provide as it wasn't on your list. Thanks, and continue your good blogs 👍👍
Another top video loved the Norman Wisdom impression was expecting Mr Grimsdale to pop round with a bit of cedar. Lovely cedar just priced a job needing cladding customer opted for redwood barrel board after giving price for cedar. Obviously a lot poorer in Lancashire 😂😂👏👍
Your video's are great and very inspiring thank you, will be purchasing a build pack to have a go myself with my team. Just wondering regarding permitted development, is there any restriction how many you can build in a garden?
Question for the garden room king . Do you not need to let the cedar to weather off eg resins etc for the oil to absorb . Osmo say wait 12 weeks . Or is the oil your using different in its application.
Watched all your videos Liam.Absolutely fantastic detail in your videos and superb workmanship.Could I ask where you purchase the fabricated sheeting for the rear of the garden rooms and how much is it to purchase the rod base system to complete a 3mx6m garden room. Thanks so much.

Reminds me of my Saturday mornings on site, didn't know how I got to work, and didn't get a lot done before a breakfast!...was always a cracking Friday night though!
I live in York and every joiner I have ever employed has called the architrave, architrive, so it must be Yorkshire thing. That building looks fabulous.
Old battered extra large shed will be down this weekend . New 7mtr x 3.2mtr Oakwood Garden Room replica will be taking shape there after . Or is it a waste of effort, time and resources? Apologies if iv missed it ,new to your channel. Many thanks .
Hello mate. Haven’t seen a video pop up for a while (apart from the raffle), what’s happening? Got a question for you if you don’t mind? I’m building my own shed/workshop, it’s 3.6m X 3m and I’ve got the floor and walls done (using quite a lot of your tips, so thanks for that). I’ve made a slight boo boo and put one side a bit too close to a fence panel, so I probably won’t be able to batten it off the breathable membrane to leave an air gap. Will this be a massive problem? I’m using shiplap, then membrane, then studs. Going to insulate the interior walls and board the inside at some point too. Thanks
Hi, great video. A question though. Why not use Cedar angle beed around the front part of the window surround? I'm planning/drawing one at the moment so just wondered why?
Doin a larchwood job soon.. Would dat same fitting method be OK.. I was told it needs drilled and plugged... I was finking of sticking and secret nailing? What do use guys think
Loving the videos mate. I'm looking to build something similar on an existing concrete base. What would be the best way of doing this without digging out holes for the base system you show? Can I put a DPM on top of the concrete and then put my timber frame base with insulation straight on top? or is it best to raise this of the floor by sitting it on some concrete blocks/engineering bricks? appreciate any help

It creates a continuous air gap behind the boards which will increase their lifespan. It also gets you from vertical framing to horizontal battens.
