You’ve no idea how much this helped me. I’ve been struggling for months looking for the best mask and seeing another woman be okay with the f20 reassures me. I don’t have to struggle with a nasal or pillow mask and I can go back to my original f20.
Thank you so much for sharing a women's perspective! I'm 27 and on my first CPAP, finding the right mask has been stressing me out - currently struggling with my ResMed F30. I am a mouth breather and the dry mouth is insane but it gets a great seal. My biggest complaint is the feeling of the silicone touching my face, especially when it gets a little wet from my exhales! I was NOT told about this mask option by my sleep tech and would have chosen this from the beginning!!! Thinking this might be my best option I'm happy I found this video :)
Thanks for sharing!! Wife went through Five mask before we tied this mask over a month’s time, we could never get leakage under control. I to am a lite sleeper, drove me nuts!!! 😅
I use this mask (Airfit F20) and like it. Switched to the F30i to eliminate the front air tube about two weeks ago to make side-sleeping more comfortable. Now I get pretty severe "trenches" in my face from the up-tubes. Padding does help but tends to be too much on face. There is no perfect mask.
A great, practical, fun, review from Caitlin. Thankyou. I also prefer a full face mask for the same reasons, and interchange between the AirTouch F20 and Vitera. Both are excellent with a slight preference for the Vitera. However I do notice that I have higher 'leak rates' from the Vitera (0 l/min on the F20 vs 3-4l/min on the Vitera - not sure if that is considered high? - I use lower pressures around 6-12). I do not believe it is due to seal leaks as have both fits dialled in and not noticing any air flow from the seals. Could it be due to the larger exhalation ports on the Vitera? Have you noticed this as well, and if so do you change any of the pressure settings when switching to the Vitera?
@@CPAPmyway Im on pressures 6-12. The leak rates from the Vitera is consistently around 2-4 l/min (sometimes 1-6) vs 0 l/min on the F20. Not sure if 2-4 l/min is considered significant. I thought it could be down to the larger exhalation ports on the Vitera. Thank’s again and look forward to future reviews from you both.
I don't think that the leak is a problem till about 24LPM according to the report graphs. But that is interesting data for sure. Thanks for watching. @@ckisb123
You have to use mask wipes on the cushion. The frame and headgear can be washed like any other. Light soap and water. Mask wipes link below. cpapmyway.com/store/cpap-accessories/cleaning-supplies/cpap-mask-wipes
I have the F20 mask and I wash it with dawn soap and water. I let it soak in the soap and water for about 30 minutes but I had a problem with the elbow of the mask. It started to get a black stain where the air holes are. I did some research and found out there is a filter in there where it makes it sound quieter and that thing had very bad mold growing on it. Someone recommended I pull the filter out with some tweezers because you can not disassemble that part to clean the filter. You can't replace that filter at all. It's just for noise reduction. Anyway, I removed it and it got rid of my problem with the mold.
Whats the different between female and male air touch f-20 masks. my head circumference is 55cm. I would like to try the foam one. what would you suggest for the straps and mask size. I wear a dreamwear mask I think its a small or or small-medium mask.

Why not a ResMed For Her head gear to go along with the AirTouch F20 frame?
Christmas is right around the corner. Thanks for the idea. LOL!
Do you think thus will work with a higher pressure. I have tried many masks and can't get past the leaks
