Bro how can you say you’re the biggest GoW channel on RUclips when you are taking hits and missing combos while being on a lower difficulty than Give me god of war? Best my A**
@@CallMePseudonymous Hard to enjoy it when he plays so terribly. There's a dozen other channels that have uploaded it and took half the time with fewer mistakeson the highest difficulty. Moreover, he cannot even realistically call himself the biggest god of war channel because some of those channels are bigger than his.
I respect the hustle, and I understand this is a hard platform to succeed on, especially when it comes to uploading gaming content, but that does not change the fact that this particular guy is neither the biggest nor the best at what he does, and seeing him advertise himself as either just comes off as desperate and cringy. And putting the video in 40k 60 fps hardly changes that.
Then why u took damage during the icarus fight
@@OhCampo Biggest don't mean best
Brutal as this was, it's not even a fraction of what he did to the Olympians. Remember that he sliced both of Hermes' legs off, lynched Hades from the ceiling of his own palace, gouged Poseidon's eyes out, ripped off Helios' head with his bare hands, and beat both Hercules and Zeus to a pulp.

@@estebanbr7596 Athena was an accident. She jumped in the way of Kratos' blade.
Honestly when kratos had heimdall on the ground I thought he was going to go for his eyes
@@RiftEnalios that would’ve been satisfying
I’d argue that Heimdall had it way worse than Hermes. Hermes only got his legs cut off while Heimdall had his arm cut off, a brain injury, and got strangled to death
Heimdall: “You think you can bring down Asgard? Really?”
Kratos: “Ask that to Olympus.”
Knowing the little shit, he'd probably taunt kratos, calling Olympus weak or pathetic. People like him love to stroke their big ego, and its satifying to take them down a peg or straight up take them down.
"What? They're not here"
"Exactly"
“Sorry, the number you had dial not available at the moment, please try again later”
That was lowkey a bit of plot armor. Just a bit.
Meanwhile all the dead gods sitting on a bench watching Kratos finishing Heimdall:
Apolo: Heeeey! Really? only strangle? he tore my head out!
Poseidon: He bashed my head, plucked my eyes and broke my neck!
Hades: He gutted me, tore my skin apart and smashed my skull... and took my soul with my own weapon, and the boy get's only 3 bashes and strangle? Cmon Kratos!
Hermes: He cut my legs off!!! And stole my shoes!
Hera: He snaped my freaking neck! Like a chicken!
Ares: He impaled me with a sword in which you all helped him to do so! Not fair!
Persephone replies to Ares: what about me that was turned to dust with a fancy Gauntled that Zeus gave to him?
Ares pointing at the others: See?
Thanatos: I got a heart surgery... but the surgeon was angry.
Hephaestus: I will not complain, it was a relief... but he slept with my wife!
Poseidon replies: everybody slept with your wife...
Zeus stays quiet
All look at him
Poseidon: Well he took the worse....
For those wondering, kratos tells Mimir that most of the gods he fought back in Greece were far mightier than Heimdall. Just bringing this up because people keep saying that the Greek gods were weak compared to the Norse gods which is not true at all. It's also stated by Freya that Heimdall is on of the few gods that can fight on par with Thor. Also Freya herself says the sisters of fate of Greece are far superior to the norns aka the sisters of fate of the Norse realm. She also says the magic the Greek sisters of fate wielded sounded far superior to any magic she has heard of and Mimir adds that if Odin could get his powers of the Greek sisters of fate they would've been long dead. People need to stop sleeping on the Greek gods.
I mean can you blame people? Kratos out here struggling against low tier gods compared to greece.
Edit: bruh I said “people” not me ik Kratos isn’t weak

I know it is portrayed as bad that Kratos killed Heimdall, but to be honest I don't think sparing him would be good either. This guy would definitely try to take revenge on Kratos by killing Atreus.
Hence why he he said fuck mercy I'm going back on my Ghost Of Sparta timing
Problem with trying to change with guys like these around is that they won't ever change so you feel like when you do what needs to be done you still feel like a monster. You tried to choose a better path but they chose one for you.
@@beckhornig7910
Befriending these lawful lowlifes is like begging for the mosquitoes to stop biting you.
They aren't going to comply to your pleas no matter what you do.
They will never change.
But even if you get them out of the equation by retaliation, you will still feel like the bad guy you are trying to avoid becoming.
Violence isn't the answer but a question.
It's really more that he did exactly what the Norns said he would do, throwing a wrench in the whole "defy fate so you want die" thing. It wasn't just that he did his old thing, it's that he did his old thing and that might be a path that leads him to fated death.
The theme of this one is destiny vs choice, which the Norns kind of lampshade by saying that all fate is is people being able to predict what choices you'll make. But that's something Kratos is still trying to figure out at this point, so he's like "was this my choice (and I'm able to make other ones), or am I doomed to slay gods and die".
If that happen than Kratos would destroy the all the gods with his rage soooo best that Hemidall didn't do that
I love that when Heimdall starts to play rough by throwing the sands into Kratos' eyes, is when he looses it and start throwing more violent punches.
More like pocket sands.
Kratos doesn't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

If you read the journal after this fight, kratos says he felt satisfied taking heimdalls life. He was probably on the edge of going full over at this point in the game.
That slam to the ground though, Kratos hasn't been that angry since Ares caused him to kill his family.
Yes, God of War are back.. just for Heimdall
@@millabasset1710 id say he was angrier when deimos died+when zeus said “don’t fail her like you failed your family” in gow3
Would you believe that I still think he was holding back? My man’s like a nuclear reactor that’s always five seconds from going super critical and frying everything in a hundred mile radius.
When he feels his younger self muster, nothing matters but killing the thing right in front of him. Pissed off. Pure rage. And as Heimdall puts it, “Monster.”
Heimdall was by far my most liked character of the Norse. Really appreciated the detail of the spear overloading his mind so he can't see the future, and at the end where Kratos' old self slowly slipped back he was able to see into Kratos' mind and him muttering "Monster" before his death was so good. It is an utter disrespect to compare him to Hermes who was all talk no balls.
Hermes was very underwhelming and died begging for his life. Heimdall had the skill and power to back up his arrogance and died with a smile on his face.
@@finnheisenheim8274 power, for certain. But skill, definitely not. You can tell from the way he throws his punches that he has never been a fight that required skillful training of any kind. @@potatoraider7320 Nahhhhh... Heimdall is overrated af. His power level is nowhere near the likes of Ares, Poseidon, Hades or Zeus. He's just a much aggressive version of Hermes, that's all. Plus, without Bifrost to help him in combat.. Kratos would have kill him in a minutes.
Mimir's line "I don't know if we're breaking fate.....or if it's breaking us"
This line hits hard because the norns just said that Kratos will do what is in his nature. Yes that means protecting his son, but could also be taken as his nature to kill anything in his path, even god's. So the question becomes, is Kratos breaking out of his fate or will it break him and he goes back to his old ways.
Damn this game was a rollercoaster of emotions and everything.
I just finished it. What an epic journey
For me Kratos did the right thing. If Kratos let Heimdall live, he will try to kill his son.
The way he looks around once Heimdalls dead, the slow realization of what he just did
Kratos is the Reincarnation Of Deathhimself
I really love the sheer brutality at 12:33 so I think I'll watch it a few more times.

Yes. Though I wished a little more, GoW 3 style brutality
Keep! Talkin!! That shit!!!😂 😂
Now that’s the old Kratos we love wooo!
No shit I thought Kratos was going to pin his head onto the ground with the spear and detonate it.
Fun fact, Christopher Judge, the guy that plays Kratos actually didn't mean to miss gjallahorn the first time. Seeing him miss it, then aggressively grab it the 2nd time though they thought it'd be perfect for the moment and kept it
Stayed in character even when he slipped up and it came out better, that’s a truly great actor
Honestly thought he was undoing a clasp or something with that first swipe
And some people said kratos is weaker now. Bro it's just holding back a lot. That last part where he became his old self briefly was truly terrifying. It's just shows that kratos can be as terrifying as his past self but he just chose not to and and only do it when it is absolutely necessary
He holds back for his son's sake, so that the boi will not see the monster he was. But if anyone dares harm the boi...
@@nowanimportant8887 he became better like his wife wants him to be
He also is weaker…he’s older and doesn’t train like he use too. Ofc he’s going to get weaker and there’s nothing wrong with that.
@@jordangreene8125 Except you are completely wrong. He is constantly growing in power, and as he trains Atreus, it's obvious that he would also be training himself. Hell, he's much stronger than he was during GoW 3.
No, he's weaker now & there's no way around it other than head-canon lol. He does not have the immortality of a full Olympian as he's a demigod & was robbed of his position on Olympus by Zeus (even though he only had the position for a short while after killing Ares), this is why he's vulnerable to aging. He is, at least physically, deteriorating.
The thing is, this doesn't matter much since everything points to the Nordic pantheon generally being weaker than the Greek pantheon. The battles are far less cataclysmic & world-ending, and it's implied Gods get their power from worship; the Greek world was far larger than the Nordic one, giving a far larger prayerbase to draw power from.
12:46 The look in his eyes, the realization of what he's dealing with.

As much as Kratos is known for his godlike strength, he never gets enough credit for his intelligence. He knew Heimdall had powers of foresight but it doesn't mean anything if he can't react fast enough to the attack. Kratos gauged his reaction speed, adapted his fighting style and caught an attack on Heimdall. But based on Baldr's personality in the previous game, I get the feeling he really enjoyed provoking Heimdall and Thor into beating his ass, only for them to eventually grow bored with him as he can't feel pain and kinda just laughs at their frustration. I wouldn't say it was because it was tough that he let loose. If that was the case he would've done it a lot sooner with Thor in their first fight.
I think it was because Heimdall ignored his mercy twice, taunted him and his loved ones the whole fight, and most importantly directly threatened to kill Atreus if he left this fight alive. Just like with Thor, threatening Atreus is Kratos's instant trigger to stop holding back.
Heimdall was playing with matches next to a gas leak the whole time and didn't see it until it blew up in his face.
@@solaire2271 true.
Heimdall was straight acting like one of the Greek Gods. Even in defeat, he arrogantly fed into Kratos' anger and threatened his son, the same way they mocked Pandora. Kratos literally gave him TWO warnings, which is more than they ever got, and the brat still acted cocky.
It's a simple premise really: Don't fuck with Kratos and then be all shocked and surprised when he kills you. Heimdall's arrogance that came from his foresight is what doomed him. He simply couldn't believe that anyone could land a hit on him, let alone destroy his arm and kill him. Kratos didn't decide his destiny, he did himself.
If memory serves, Kratos’ journal states that Heimdall refused to be shown mercy out of pride. He was Aesir, and as Odin said: they live for a good death. He refused to be branded a coward or a failure by limping back home like Modi did.
Kratos was like “Fuck around and find out”
@@AntonNight He should have Retreated anyway. He is a Watchman Not a Warrior.

If Only Heimdall Knew That Spear Was His Downfall He Wasn’t Shocked Though
Heimdall was a badass. There's a reason he wasn't phased being face to face with Thor. I love this fight.
Norse mythology on gow better than mcu 🤣
@@yaqinmalul1364 That bar is so low you could trip over it.

Bro that's just a lame comparison.
He actually backed off when Thor squared up with him.
Genuine tragedy in this scene. Him fumbling at Gjallarhorn in shock at what he just did is perfect. You feel awful for him.
problem with someone who never loses is that when they lose they just don't quit. Thought would've been nice that other than the spear he also goes and puts on the Hermes Boots again.
They were destroyed at the end of GoW3, all those weapons were. It puzzled me how he got the Blades of Chaos, but then the comics revealed that he could never be rid of them.
@@thattexasanarchist9276 it was one of things that wasn't destroyed.
@@entwoo2221 Alright, they haven't been seen or mentioned so let's just agree to disagree. Even if they weren't, I'm sure he lost or hid them. Until Cory or Santa Monica says otherwise, they're gone forever (but that's just me).
@@entwoo2221 I'm also aware of the screen shots from the previous game that showed them, but when I looked for them I couldn't find them in the house. If there's more evidence, I'll look into.
The reason Frieza lost on Namek
it's so satisfying to know that kratos is holding back his rage so he doesn't destroy it all again that's what every fan of old kratos wants
Heimdall's death is a bit too soft here. In his younger years, Kratos would tear him limb from limb.
That's kind of the fucking point.
He changed .he now didn't want to brutalise anyone too much
Thumb his eyes break his bones and snap his neck
This actually kratos almost giving in to his brutal ways before mimir stopped him
Yes...almost like he's a different person now huh?
I think this is the most difficult boss fight in the game, because of the evasions
Yeah
He's so elusive just like Hermes
And the most satisfying to kill
Just like hermes.

That's why you never spare your enemies... they have a bad habit of coming back.
That's one way decimate or humiliate them hard enough then they lose the will to fight take (Japan) as a prime example.
That's crappy advice. Kill every one of your enemies and you make 3 more for every death. Far better to allow them surrender if they genuinely are no longer a threat

Heimdall: you are dead, sunshine
Kratos: *uno reverse
This is the moment Kratos became Kratosberg
Truly development of all time
Most satisfying kill in the game.
I love that detail that Kratos failed to pick up the horn the first time cause he realized what he did
That was actually an accident by the actor, but the devs decided to keep it in, which I agree makes the scene better.
I remember feeling nervous. How was Kratos going to beat Heimdall! They hype him up so well that finally beating him and seeing glimpses of the old Kratos was absolutely epic! Game of the damn decade!
Let's be honest, if Kratos were the old God of war that he was, all asgard were death already.
10:49 foreshadowing his death lmao
I bet if Kratos puts one of those exploding spear directly under Heimdall's crotch, Heimdall would be a lot more quite and cooperative.
🤣
I know that all players want the battle to end like this with HEIMDALL
Kratos literally wiped out a pantheon just because the gods fucked with his family. Out of all the shit the aesir could've done, targeting Atreus was the dumbest shit they did knowing damn well there's a high chance kratos would go back to his old way if something happened to Atreus.

I love how mimir called kratos by his name instead of "brother" after killing heimdall like he was different person
5:38 when your play fighting with your friend and you "accidentally" hit them
Heimdall reminds me of Hermes in his fighting style and teasing towards kratos
the fact that kratos just kept attacking faster and faster when he was fighting heimdall so he couldnt think faster then kratos was punching shows how smart he is
He Had The Spear
So glad they were able to add more unique boss fights in this game. Some extremely fun fights to replay.
3:02 when the Spartan music plays and he runs head to head with the beast I got chills
I love how Heimdall isn't just some brain dead bossfight that you only need to do one thing to beat. He learns how to avoid the spear instead of just catching it every single time, and at the end of the first phase you need to lay traps methodically that he'll dodge into.
And later on he gets so angry he just stopped dodging entirely. Genius boss design.
The Spear Had Already Taken It’s Tole On Him His Foresight Was Almost Useless
Thor - "There he is, that's the god of war."
Mimir - "Nope, this is...."
I like that split second that shows Kratos before choking out Heimdall cause you can actually see his old self in that expression of unhinged anger, the hard frown with the crooked lips just screams ghost of Sparta
Kratos: "You reminded me of a speedy little shit back from my homeland. Before I cleaved his legs off!!!!"
12:52 He probably reading Kratos mind and find out what happen with Greek God.
And he realised that it was too late stop.
"Now....whatcha got?" and "Slow down".
Why does that sound so satisfying? Love the voice actor! XD
Heimdall was such an amazing boss fight.
Yea and he's so annoying
Sorry Mimir, but that dude was LITERALLY ASKING FOR IT! He wanted to die in battle to go to Valhalla. That worthless piece of shit did not deserve it, but Kratos wouldn't be able to walk away until he's dead.
Oh, that asshole isn’t returning. He’s gone for good.
Not mention the dude was overconfidencely obnoxious I'm glad kratos shut him up for good
And to be fair kratos warned him so many times that alone was enough to prove that if he did try to fuck around he will find out
He want to get Heimdall killed but he doesn't want old Kratos back is what Mimir wants. Trust me, I would rather have new Kratos over a psychotic angry godkiller plucking my eyeballs.
Hermes watching be like - “oh so you just gonna take only an arm uh??”
Kratos: He doesn't have fancy shoes like you have.
Hermes: True
Hermes: Take his eyes then, it's shiny
Kratos: ....*casually turns back to get dem purply eyed
I can see him raging because of kratos not taking both of Heimdall’s arms
@@senpie6639 Heimdall: He blow up my arm and strangled me to death.
Hermes: really?? What he did to me is worse than yours.
Kratos: You remind me a man called Hermes, do you know how he ended up?
He thought he can ultra instinct kratos lol 😂
I like Heimdall's design. Exactly how a school bully from movies would look. Also, the build up to his fight with Kratos was great because we learned to hate on the character so the conclusion was satisfiying for the player
It's gonna be funny if someone modded Heimdall into Hermes
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love how he bounces from the screen 11:10. They are fighting so hard they are bouncing in the 4th wall...
There is a wall and tree from where he bounced off
The colors and framing when he kills Heimdall looks like something straight out of GOW 3. Even the lighting makes Kratos look like his old beardless self
Mimir was so terrified by seeing how strong and deadly Kratos was, that he wanted him to just stop and not do it
Heimdall in this game gave major Joffrey baratheon vibes.
Joffrey Lannister please. 😅
I absolutely love the animation and acting in this game, it feels so much more real and alive. You hate the little bastard but just seeing how brutally killed he was and seeing what looked like genuine terror from his face as Kratos strangled him, it actually felt less satisfying and more disturbing. Then seeing the look on Kratos’s face after, he was in shock he clearly didn’t like what he did. This game is so beautifully well done
He terrorizes other people for fun because he likes picking on the weak. I for one found it very satisfying for him to spend his last moments looking into the eyes of someone who wouldnt take his shit, and put him down for it. Karma is a bitch.
Call me biased because I despise bullies at the best of times, but I haven't a shred of sympathy for Heimdall. Frankly I was left hoping he would've showed some actually panic when he started taking hits. You'd think they would ALL be afraid of Kratos just by his reputation.
Mimir got absolutely horrified when he watched Kratos kill Heimdall like that
It's like Mimir always only heard about the legendary tales about the Ghost of Sparta. But now he saw him in action. Even for just a few seconds... it terrified him.
Kratos: Heimdall, you talk a lot of smack for a god within spartan rage distance
I love how kratos had a spear because as a spartan that was the first weapon they’d carry with their shields and the the sword on the waist somewhere as a secondary
Yeah, a clear callback to the Arms of Sparta weapon from Ghost of Sparta. It brings back a lot of the movesets... incredible stuff.
When Kratos loses it Mimir telling Kratos to stop was chilling “brother this isn’t who you want to be!”
Something I find cool is that there's no button prompts after you activate the finisher. You have no control, just like Kratos didn't in that moment
I like how they show that Heimdall has a special hatred for Loki (which is true in actual Norse mythology)
