Using S30 from the future, battery life has significantly increased, i charge it once in a month after heavy usage, phone is powerful enough to play Ps5 games at full resolution, it has got 64GB ram and 5TB storage as starting model which i m currently using. Phone still charges at 25watt speed. Display is too bright soo much so that i have to wear dark shades to counter it, it goes up till 10k nits, speakers have gotten loud enough to have hall fuller sound, Sadly there is still no dolby vision support

i got my s21 in 2021, always charged 25 - 85%, just pulled logs from my phone and the battery is at 92% health. it’s definitely possible

S22 series to S23 series was a huge upgrade in battery life, especially the S23+ was killing the tests and outperformed the S23 ultra which was probably due to the 1080p (+) display rather than QHD (Ultra)

Yeah, I think it's around 5 to 10 percent. I have the S24+ Exynos, and it's still pretty good.
Under heavy usage the exynos version is behind 20-30% because it creates more heat. Just like the iPhone 15 pro is bad for mobile games because the heat drains the battery quick

Good video but you should inform us if it's exynos or snapdragon chipset on each. Because we do have the exycrap chipset in Europe instead od snapdragon master chipset and that's a HUGE difference in term of battery and performance as well
That's right, the exynos models on S21 and S22 have much better autonomy than SD 8gen 1 and SD 888. Tested, and for a good 1 to 1.5h SOT....if you had exynos and didn't try SD or vice versa, then you can't talk about battery life. I have an S21 model with exynos 2100 and an S21fe with SD 888, although the battery on the S21FE is bigger, with the S21 I achieve higher SOT, so it doesn't drink water for a weaker battery on the exynos. Play the supporting stories, secondly, the stability in operation is better on the Exynos, as well as the operation of the camera in certain modes, that is much more important than mere performance.

Not always the case. My Pixel 8's battery is larger (4575 mAH) than my Pixel 5 (4080 mAH), but it does not last as long. Other hardware and software components do matter in terms of battery performance.

You should vary what you do ie leave camera on as that uses battery a lot too, play music, play game, as that would immitate real life

S24 has LTPO tech which can lower refresh rate during idle. That helps a lot.

Get the s23, it's really good. It, uses snapdragon only(and it's a good one at that) and still has amazing battery life and it's going to be cheaper.

@@AdrianEditz276 I'm not agree bro, I've got a galaxy A73 5g with snapdragon 778g 5g, what i noticed when im using the phone at the 120hz which is available on the performance mode on my phone it only gives me 6h of SOT, but as soon as i noticed that there's a power mode option which is reducing the cpu's power to 70% and the display to be limited to 60hz, i started to get 8hours SOT using the phone as usual.
With one ui 6 , 60hz became so smoth like a 60hz IPhone.
I tried them both, but at the end of the day if ur not a heavy gamer, 120hz doesn't affect ur daily use if the 60hz is well "optimized".
I asked him just to make sure that all the phones are used at the same conditions.

Chipset efficiency in both battery life and heat is the main reason why I upgraded from the 22+ to the 24+. That and the killer pre-order deal from Samsung was too good to pass up.
Question about screen resolution: If I changed the setting on the QHD display to FHD, how much will that affect battery life, would it make enough of an impact to make it worth it? I was just fine with the FHD res on the 22+ and wouldn't have any problem at all going back to it if it makes a measurable impact.

I'm using S22 and planned to switch to iphone15+ in Sep 2024 just for battery because I think Apple battery will not drain as much as Samsung in the long run. Now knowing S22 has bad battery itself not Samsung, I'm not sure if I should switch to S24 or Iphone15+. I've never used iphone and have been using Android for a long time. I'm also not big fan for big screen phone.
Snapdragon chipsets has always been better then the exynos chips. The s22 is a great phone imo but the battry life could be better. Snapdragon 8 gen3 a alot more energy efficient

If you put a new battery in the S21, you will get approximately the same SOT as on the S23, because after 3 years of use the battery is not at 100% like on the S24...so whoever has the S21 just replace the battery and can enjoy it for at least another year, as long as the upgrades last. i.e. to android 15.
