@@hellwalker899 Yeah, it didnt do well mostly cause you can beat the whole game in 1-2 hours. It should have been a DLC. I feel that if they games waited 4-5 years at least to come out they would have done much better. Sad cause it's my favorite story and character in the star wars universe.
The first game had a better story.
The second game was made in only 18 months. It felt and looked like it was. Sound and level design was crap compared to the first.
From what I read a 3rd game wasn't even in production by the time Disney got SW. The script hadn't been made yet

The star destroyer was already falling. Galen just pushed it into a nose dive to save himself and those on his ship, and destroy the ore cannon.
Deadman I just replayed that specific level. The destroyer was not falling. He was able to turn it around and pull it downward. But he was heavily strained and was almost killed while doing it.

So, if we’re being honest here, what Starkiller did was neither implausible nor that OP. Not saying you said that or anything…it’s just, whenever people try to hate on Starkiller, they always immediately use that as a default argument for “tOo OP”. But give Starkiller a vagina, erase all slither of his character development, name him “Rey”, and make her the most OP being to have ever lived (possessing all the Jedi and all the Sith)…and the people who hate Starkiller eat that up.

So for a long time I heard fans complain how "powerful" Galen Marek (StarKiller) was. Especially during the first game and novel where he brought down a crippled Star Destroyer. Yet when Rey and Darth Sidious fight in episode 9. They magically get GOD level force powers no one ever expected. StarKiller to me should be cannon and would be a badass replacement for the garbage sequel trilogy we got. Just imagine a Star Wars story from the perspective of Vader's secret apprentice. The journey from dark to light. His love interest and the friendship with his Jedi master Rham Kota. The assassination of Jedi master in distant world's. The tyranny of the Empire spreading war trough the Galaxy. The creatures the environment. It would be a experience like no other. I'll take that any day over Disney's pathetic Monopoly scheme they got going on with our cherished franchise.
They should do a TV series on Disney+. Would be quite good I think.

Well not to mention that Star killer not only beat Darth Vader and (debatable) the emperor but he had to beat a shit tone of imperial forces just to get to Vader. Storm troopers, royal guards, shadow guards etc...And this was all in one day.
Oh and star killers clone basically went through the same thing before meeting Vader, maybe even worse since he had to fight his own clones at the same time who were obviously force sensitive as well.

***** As a child he was significantly stronger than Anakin Skywalker (as a child). Which makes no sense because the Skywalkers are the most connected with the force. They are the family that have the most "raw" power. Starkiller also took down a Star Destroyer by himself with relative ease with only like 20 years of experience. While Yoda, who has been training for 800+ years, had slight difficulties throwing a car sized object back to Sidious in Revenge of the Sith. Star Killer also has many force powers he should not have at such a young age, ie. Force Repulse, Lighting, Choking. He is a cool fucking character but he doesn't make any sense to the logic Star Wars has set-. He's way too powerful.

Well, in the first game/book, he goes on to fight and defeat like 4 or 5 Jedi masters. And on top of that, he defeated Vader is a duel, so... pretty powerful.

I agree with what you said about Windu. From my point of view, Windu at his top was unbeatable, and the surest guarantor of the survival of the Order. I feel that the jedi had a chance against Palpatine as long as Windu was alive.
Shaak Ti was a council member. But she was not considered one of the most powerful duelists. It is important to note that certain powerful jedi masters such as Qui Gonn Jin or Cin Drallig chose not to be part of the council, but were still considered to be among the most powerful.

Actually, i think I read in one of the novels that there was a sith that did that. He used several lightsabers telekinetically, using a mix of several fighting styles to both confuse and overwhelm his opponents. I cannot remember which book to save my life though...
I love how Galen understands Vader better than even Vader does. I can always remember one interaction in particular. When proxy says "i hate being him!" And Galen remorsefully says "yeah. I think he does too." Amazing character

'Starkiller' has been utterly trampled by Disney... Even the name 'Starkiller' was used in Episode 7 (Starkiller Base). Also, 'Galen' was used in Rogue One (Galen Erso.) Hence, almost erasing all hopes of this character to become officially canon.

I always interpreted Juno as Starkiller's true strength. If it wasn't for her he likely would not have pulled out completely from the dark side or tapped into his true battle potential. It's only because of Juno that he was able to defeat Vader twice.

The reason I love Starkiller, is, that he's never been a Jedi or Sith, but a human being with the tools to shape the universe, just like us. I love Star Wars. I know it's fiction. But there's a reason I like science fiction universes, like Mass Effect's for example, more, than the star wars universe. It's the Jedi and Sith religions. No matter what movie or game, you always only had the option to become an extremist of either side. Which in both directions, is just wrong. The jedi are not the keepers or the balance of the force. Sith and Jedi combined are.
That's why I always liked Galen more than any other star wars character and played the hell out of the first Force Unleashed, and even somehow managed to spend 40 hours with the second Force Unleashed. He's just a dude with insane powers. The way he uses them? With a free mind, and not with a dumb code behind him and people to judge him and his actions.

Other than Starkiller, the only other Star Wars character, that I know of anyways, that was more balanced and didn't follow the Jedi or Sigh code in the end was Revan.
Yes he started out as a Jedi, and yes he did become a Sith, but after the events of KOTOR 1 he didn't follow either code and instead embraced the Force as a whole and learned to balance it within himself.

"Potential" is the biggest bummer in Star Wars. Never having the chance in cannon to see how powerful Vader could have been is the worst thing in all of Star Wars.

Vader was the third most powerful Sith in Star Wars in my opinion, the only Sith being superior to him would be Sidious and Bane. Starkiller, in my opinion, got lucky when he fought and beat Vader. Don't get me wrong, he's very powerful, but Vader has a far more impressive resume as a Force wielder in my opinion.

Darth Vader's right hand has a Mandalorian Crushgaunt. That means he can bend durasteel with his one hand.

His grip would be powerful enough at that moment that no amount of pulling on his lightsaber hilt by a Wookie would pry it from that hand.
+mozart mario He was preparing to kill Galen's father at the time with his lightsaber, so he was probably gripping it pretty dang strong. AND Force-users surround themselves with a thin field of Force energy to keep lightsaber yanking (and to keep the opponent from switching off the lightsaber) from happening. Darth Vader had just been through battle, so I'm pretty sure he still had his "Force field" up, that is, if he ever takes it down. Padawans are even taught this technique from the earliest point in there training, almost everybody does it.
Combined with the fact he could potentially ruin the hilt with his grip alone and we get Galen is pretty much on the level of Stupid Stronk.
Let's also not forget that his Force Repulse CAN DISINTEGRATE STORMTROOPERS.
The only other known case of a Force Power disintegrating ANYONE is Darth Sidious doing it to multiple people with his Sith Lightning.

I would say he can't. But if he could, it's Dark Souls Literally and Actually Impossible Edition level easy.
I honestly believe that Galen Marek is the truest example of a Grey Jedi.
Here's my reasoning:
Jedi are trained to forget all emotional attachment and push aside emotion since it can lead to corruption. Sith are trained to let their emotions control them and give way fully to the Dark Side.
Galen Marek uses both. He broke free of the Dark Side after it having been all he's known for a majority of his life. Despite this, he was still strong in the light side of the Force. He used the strongest parts of the Dark Side, and the strongest parts of the Light Side, to become a damn near unstoppable warrior.
People always say that Ahsoka Tano and Qui-Gon Jinn are the best Grey Jedi. I beg to differ. Yes, they believe in both sides of the Force and acknowledge their usefulness, but you never see or hear about either of them ever really using any part of the Dark Side of the force, apart from just... Basic emotion.
Galen Marek fully embraces both aspects of the Force. He is a powerful Jedi. As stated in this video, after having been subject to the deepest, darkest realms of the Dark Side of the Force, he still managed to claw his way out.
However, despite his status as a Jedi, he still uses the Dark Side very frequently. Force Lightning is a very "Dark" move, as is Force Repulse (since it can basically atomize anything in its immediate radius). He is also a savant with Form VII, a forbidden Form for Jedi since it very heavily requires reaching into the Dark Side to be perfected. Only 3 other Jedi have ever been confirmed to know that Form; Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, and Master Yoda.

Qui-Gon Jinn believed there was usefulness in both aspects of the Force... Not exclusive to Grey's. He encouraged emotion... Not quite exclusive, but not common amongst Jedi.

I get what you say and I know many people agree with you but I have to disagree. I think there is a common misunderstandment with what the Light and the Dark Side of the Force are. In my opinion, Galen is a “”Sith””, let me explain to you why.
People think that evil people use the Dark Side and good people use the Light Side but the Force doesn’t understand ethics, nor what is good and what is bad. The Dark Side is the power that comes from emotions so any force user that uses their emotions to connect with the Force is using the Dark Side, no matter the outcomes of their actions or their own intentions.
And that’s what Galen does, he uses his emotions, he uses the Dark Side, as the sith do. The difference between your common sith and him is that he has good intentions, he does what he does for a better good and he sacrifices himself for that. But sharing that with the Jedi doesn’t make him one, because he still uses his emotions and the Dark Side instead of getting rid of them to achieve peace.
And you could say, well that’s why he is a grey jedi, not a simple jedi. But that is not correct. A Grey Jedi, as Qui gon jinn was, is still a Jedi because they believe and use the Light Side (which is not related to goodness, but to peace of mind and absence of emotions). They only disagree with some ideas and traditions of the Jedi Order. They are, if you wish, rebels among the Jedi, but still Jedi. For example, they could even be evil, but as long as they don’t use the Dark Side, they would still be Jedi.
And why did I say “”Sith”” instead of Sith? Because the Sith are more than just dark side users. They are part of a religion, with customs and traditions Galen hasn’t been taught. But, in the absence of a better term, I think we could call him a Sith.
Calling him “Grey Jedi”, in my opinion, is not only wrong but it diminishes a lot of what makes him such an important character. What Galen taught us that even the sith could be heroes and it was something everyone should already know if not for the tendency we have to simplify everything so much: sith = bad, jedi = good. No one told us that ever, only that the Sith use their emotions and the Jedi don’t. It makes sense that those who try to get rid of their impulses and emotions, to detach from their individuality and forget about their own desires to live at the services of others will be kind and good (as most Jedi are). But Galen reminded us that emotions can connect us to others too, that love is passion and strength. With it, we can control our fear and find a better use for our anger. He showed us all that love shall set us free.

Um.... where does it say he had the power to switch bodies? The only one with anything similar to that was Palpatine. Plus, it specifically says in the Force Unleashed novelization that he died and his Force ghost saw his own body. But whatever, it doesn't matter either way since both versions of him have drastically different fighting styles and mindsets so it could be said they're two different people.
Honestly the whole "his house's sigil is the symbol of the revolution" thing never stopped being canon to me, it was a perfect tie in, essentially placing his story just before or in the very early beginnings of the revolution. Plus its a nice way to throw a cool new perspective on the O.T for me at least.

Kylo Ren had a severe disadvantage in the final fight, and it was very apparent in his performance. However, the subtle clues as to how strong Ren really is point to an astounding conclusion, that, in the end, Kylo may be more powerful than Starkiller. You never saw Starkiller stopping a blaster bolt mid-air, or taking a shot from the most powerful hand-held weapon known in the Star Wars Universe and still fighting not one, but two challengers. I think at that point, poor old Galen would have collapsed under the strain, i am sad to say, being that Galen "Starkiller" is my favorite Force user.

Knowing Legends is the original canon (confirmed by Lucasfilms), Starkiller is the original person who started the Rebel Alliance.
I´ve heard people saying this doesnt make much sense and that the disney canon with Bail doing it by himself, in Rebels is better, however I disagree, the idea that Sidious would allow Bail to create the Resistance in the first place without ulterior motives is asinine, he made sure Padme and Valloron died the moment they became threats to his political power, why should Bail be any different? The Starkiller version makes sense, Sidious keeps Bail around because he knows he has contacts with other powerful politicians that can turn against the empire and Sidious awaits the right time to finish them.
Something also of note was the way Starkiller channeled that legendary resolve.
Starkiller truly embraced the "Do or Do not" mentality. He threw himself, on his own instinct, at creating situations that few other force weilders would even contemplate as remotely possible.
Extra credit to any force weilder who can look up to the sky and decide that they are going to tear ships out of flight.
Hell yes, Starkiller is like Neo of Star Wars.

This was a good video. I've seen Galen grow from a frightened boy that stood against vader to the point he had to face Vader. If galen had the proper training and kept at it, he would've been extremely powerful especially with Juno at his side. she's his greatest strength but she can also be his greatest weakness.

Funny thing is that Vader basically did to Galen what Palpatine did to him thus becoming the very thing he hated most, but unlike Vader Galen was able to resist the Darksides pull thanks to his love for Juno despite being raised as a Sith whereas Anakin's love for Padmè is what caused his fall despite being raised as a Jedi, Anakin & Galen are so similar yet so different it's really interesting.
Also, when he was pulling the ship down, the ship was using its backward thrusters attempting to get back into space, which added even more resistance, he also had enemy TIE Fighters coming towards him. To be able to pull that large of an object which is also resisting you, while under immense pressure is ridiculous and I think that is the highest force achievement so far, I don't think anything has matched up to that, but if there is I just don't know about it. Great video by the way, I wish they would bring him into something new, even if it was Rebels. He is to important of a character to just wash away.

I think that Starkiller holds unrivaled force power, but his dueling skills, while impressive, are not unrivaled. Almost all of his feats have been achieved through mastery of the force. It is notable that Starkiller has the rare ability to use Force Lightning in the name of the Light Side. (Sith Lightning is a misnomer, seeing as Plo Koon was able to harness this ability as well.) By the time that Galen faced off against Palpatine, he had a very strong connection to the Force. He is able to defeat Palpatine, but talked out of it by Kota. And even afterwords, he shows the ability to withstand unrivaled amounts of Force Lightning, which Windu and Luke crumble under in an instant under the same duress. The only one who shows that same affinity for countering Force Lightning is Yoda, who is able to absorb and reflect it against both Tyranus and Palpatine. He also holds unrivaled reserves of Force Energy. On Raxus Prime, Starkiller is able to dispatch a gang of scavengers, take down Proxy, a robot capable of replicating any fighting style (using Force Lightning, canonically), and still have the energy to alter the course of a Star Destroyer.
I think the best part about StarKiller is the fact that he can control both light and dark force unlike other Jedi and Sith. Another thing that made him so interesting is his skills like he's really good at literally anything lightsaber,force controls and even creating new ability on his own. No doubt he's just plain badass in a right way compared to Rey.

Also, it should be noted that there are different ways of channeling the Force. Starkiller is exceptionally skilled at altering his physical environment, but it appears his training has either been neglected or he is woefully inept at the other methods of using the force such as sensing his environment and the more metaphysical elements such as visions or telepathic communication. He is routinely surprised by his enemies while many Jedi and Sith have been shown to be able to track such individuals from a great distance and anticipate their movements. Not only this, but we never see Starkiller effectively initiate telepathic communication and force visions actually appear to boggle him. Due to all of this, I like to think of him as a rhino in terms of force. He can dish out and take incredible punishment and is incredibly strong, but outside of combat his powers appear severely limited. While most Jedi and Sith can and have been shown to accomplish much through ESP, telepathic manipulation, and other such subtler methods, Starkiller apparently does not know how to or cannot use such abilities. He's basically a canon: good for fights, not so good for negotiation, study, or basically anything else at all. Which does make sense considering Vader trained him to be a Jedi assassin.

He has powers for battle people double or triple his age and with more training . Galen by the age of 30 would be either at palpatine's level or over him his ineptitude with so much dark side energy without fully giving in and falling victim to dark side degradation is amazing if you really look at it and he uses force lightening which is one of the biggest force abilities to cause this not counting sith necromancy yet he uses it so skillfully and haphazardly yet having control over his only destructive force which is huge. I don't think he would down right be the strongest force sensitive but his full potential could put him around the top 5 . That's my honest critique of the character, he is damn powerful and that's why we will never see him in the current story line. But they may be able to use him in a ancient sith/jedi movie or cartoon line since he would be a lot more matched or outclassed I should say
If anyone wants to play The Force Unleashed game (the one Starkiller is in ) play the one on ps2,GameCube,and wii trust me graphics are a little worse but the story is better and longer. Your welcome.
PSP version too. I liked that version but I enjoyed the overall experience in the main consoles/PC.

Yeah i love Starkiller, just because he is powerful doesn't mean he isn't a compelling character, he still has to struggle to be powerful (unlike Rey)

Starkiller, Anakin, and Luke Skywalker are my favorites. Starkiller's raw force abilities, LOVE IT! Force lightning, and repulse, and then both combined, too dope. Love his lightsaber skills: form 6 niman. Plus it's close to Asoka's style of fighting. Anakin being the Chosen One enough said, all the potential, but never realized. He would have been revered beyond measure if he would've stayed on the light side. Luke between him and his father.... Whoooooooo to much!
