This was such a quiet but powerful scene. They're literally just talking, no one raised their voice, and yet there's so much emotion. All the subtext. It's heartbreaking and it's brilliantly done! "You have to choose!" "What if i want you?" "We ALL want you!" She's in love with him and she's afraid to admit it. So, she's taking a step back. And Him, he just can't see that he has feelings for her. Because it wouldn't be right. And that's not who Max is.

When the clairvoyant woman said he was gonna loose someone he cares about deeply who wasnt his wife, he realised who she was talking about the moment Sharpe walked in and then he insisted on going back out and made a point of telling her this time he would be take care because he loOVEd his doctor. The way he said it was like a plea you know, like " im sorry I haven't been easy but dont give up on me, I'm gonna be good from now on just dont leave". She didnt catch the plea, (you can sorta see the huh? moment on her face after he said "I loOVE my doctor") I guess she didnt realise where the speach was coming from.

Max just outed himself in a Freudian slip (stating something almost by accident that in fact reveals hidden true feelings). And in that instant, Helen has got to face at the very instant: (a) Max totally "loves" his doctor, and that doctor is her, Helen and (b) that Max loves her in a way TOTALLY DIFFERENT from how loves Kapoor or Floyd or anybody else. (c) and that "thing" between her and Max?? It's being in love. And let's face it, Helen is ALWAYS the one who faces realities and deals with facts in ways that dreamer Max doesn't. If a decision not to be his doctor anymore is this wrenching, shattering, heart-breaking, what are we really talking about here? "L" word. DEFINED. This is soooooooooo not resolved. MY HEART IS BREAKING. I truly believe that Helen made the right decision. Max needs to learn how to listen to her better, and hopefully this distance will make them stronger. I'm rooting for them for the long hual. Probably one of the most heart breaking scenes this show has ever done. Ryan and Freema were phenomenal. #sharpwin
The writers realized they screwed up with Max being married because Sharpe and Max has amazing chemistry. Even though, this is heartbreaking at least she chose not to be his doctor instead of his friend.
This is an amazing and complex scene. Helen realizes she has to be the stronger person despite her deep affection for Max. "I have to triage us". She's left Max with no option at least for the time being. It will be fascinating to see where the writers take their relationship in the upcoming seasons. There is a lot left unsaid and undone between them, please don't leave it on the cutting floor!
What a great scene. I think the writers made a huge mistake in making Max married. They put that character in a marital box, probably never expecting him to have awesome chemistry with Helen. Now they're stuck with this blinding chemistry they can't hide or write around.
What if I want you and we all want you is deeper than the doctor- patient relationship. This scene touched everything, you just need to decode the message.
One of the most powerful things about this heart-wrenching is two-fold: 1. no doctor's mere reassignment is this soul-devastating, so this rooftop "talk" really has NOTHING to do with any mere "doctor-patient" relationship. This is a moment where a woman deeply in love decides to self-sacrifice when the married man who loves her perhaps even more deeply (if that's possible) cannot confront the reality of his on-again-off-again marriage versus the passionate, all-consuming love that he has for Helen. 2. Max's Freudian slip at the Clairvoyant's home--"I love my doctor"--becomes, on this wrenching rooftop scene, Freud's revenge: "But what if I WANT YOU?" What he has tried to hide from himself is now right up front, undeniable, burning and bright and real like the sun: Max now knows in the here and now--and not (barely) buried in his subconscious--that Helen is EVERYTHING to him. Max now knows consciously that he is hopelessly in love with Helen. And now, Helen knows it, too. This where New Amsterdam gets better than good. It gets real.

I know they are not romantically involved, but this scene has all the emotional undertones of a couple breaking up. I would NEVER wish for Max/Georgia or Helen/Akash relationships to fail, but if they were ever to be single I could see Max and Helen ending up together.

But the thing is, max is saying yes to everything right, but his wife is the one reaping most of the rewards because she gets Max to say he loves her. Even though he’s in love with Helen, he can’t say that to her, because he’s still married, which means he can’t be with her either. Not fully. So while he can’t decide and this might be great for him cz he gets to not break up his marriage and still have Helen close to him, it’s breaking her cz she’s not getting all or even enough of him. So now even if it’s hard, she has to do what’s best for her, and set some sort of boundaries to help preserve her heart. At least that’s how I take it 🤷🏽♀️ I could be wrong

I agree which why I don't understand why fans think that they decide to go romantic because of the chemistry. Um no the very first scene hinted at it. His interaction with her from the beginning was on an equal level. All the other doctors didn't know what to make of him . But with her it was different.
She is talking about their romantic relationship in there. Max has a the care, energy, and talent to put 150% into whatever it is he wants to accomplish. He never has to choose between multiple things because he finds a way to pull off the impossible through sheer force of will. He likes and respects Sharpe incredibly, and says and does everything right to win her over. Sharpe knows that there's something between them, but that thing between them is just another thing in Max's life that he's unwilling to choose at the expense of other things. He won't choose her, and she won't be on the backburner.
My mother who watches the show with me and unsure of the name of the show asked me and I quote "When is the show coming on with the girl doctor that's in love with the man doctor that's sick". So even my mom who is over 90 knows what's going on with them. She even calls it Love between the two of them. Go figure.

The scenes on the rooftop are so moving and have a kind of soothing effect. Love the kind of intimate talk between Max and Helen. They are opening up. Season 3, Max and Helen: Perfect fit.

@NeCe Love Truthfully, I have always felt that there was something between Ryan and Freema beyond their characters. It was apparently clear that they were deeply attracted to each other during the series, and true feelings were being exhibited and expressed both in their onscreen and offscreen appearances. They were feeling it for sure, but in realtime, Freema lives in London, and Ryan lives in California. It's hard to maintain a long distance relationship; eventually one has to be willing to uproot his/her life, and follow after the other one. My take is that Ryan fell in love with Freema and she with Ryan. If you remember, once Max and Helen crossed over from friends and colleagues, and consummated their 'ship into a full blown boyfriend/girlfriend/lovers relationship, immediately Helen (Freema) while still being intimate with him said, "I should have never let you in" (what? In her apartment or in her heart?). Next, we see him sitting up in the bed, and her on the edge of the bed staring into space, and Max (Ryan) says, "Helen (Freema), talk to me". She said she felt very sad when he talked of the FUTURE and he asked, why, is it too soon? She shook her head "no". Helen knew that she would be returning home to London. In realtime Freema knew she would be returning home to London. Max (Ryan) responds, take time whatever time you need; take a leave of absence; but Helen (Freema) who always looks at the practical side, says, Max (Ryan) I need to go home to London for GOOD (meaning permanently). There is so much subtext going on in that scene after they slept together. Next, they walk out to the kitchen, and Helen says to Max, I think you should go, and he says, "no, I won't. She says, "you won't". He responds, "you know how long it has taken me to get here (this intimate place with you), I'm not just going to walk away and leave", and she turns and walks, he follows her and says, "talk to me". She tells him, she has been offered a job as medical director of the clinic in London (it mirrors Freema being offered a new role in London as well, causing a scheduling conflict which prevents Freema from returning to New Amsterdam in Season 5). Plus, in that same scene, she says to Max(Ryan), we can't have a long distance relationship without ever having a short one. This is when Max (Ryan) says, why not?" Now that I've held you and kissed you, and humiliated myself". "How have you humiliated yourself", she asks, and he backs up and walks outside and shouts to all the world (us the viewing public), "I LOVE THIS WOMAN, and NOW SHE IS TRYING TO DUMP ME"! Max (Ryan) knows he loves Helen (Freema). He threatens to take off his pants and run buck naked in her neighborhood if she doesn't fight for this. (It's almost like he is saying, "I'm ready to expose my true feelings to the world). Immediately she blurts out TWICE (not once but twice) "I LOVE YOU", "I LOVE YOU" (Isn't it interesting she says, "I love you" twice (once for Max and again for Ryan) and he stares lovingly at her before bending down to kiss her. These two are into each other in a big way. The next scene shows them back in the bedroom (showered, Max fully dressed, and Helen, wearing a beautiful floral bathrobe; clearly time has passed after being outside) going through their phone calendars to see how they can make this long distance relationship work, but there seems to be scheduling conflicts, one after another, and Helen (Freema) says, "lets not do this right now because I don't want to ruin it". Max (Ryan) staring intently at her, says in a quiet voice, "it's not ruined; it's just a scheduling thing. It will work" (it kind of mirrors their realtime relationship. They're both actors, living in different countries, and they're bound to have scheduling conflicts). Helen says, I (Freema) REALLY want it to work, Max (Ryan). No doubt, like the roof top scene, where Helen must make the decision to triage, and step back from being Max's doctor to save his life, Freema has to be the one to triage, and sacrifice her role as Helen, choosing not to return for S5 because staying on, and doing more scenes as a couple (Max/ Helen) who are about to get married, sharing their lives together on the DAM would undoubtedly bring them even closer together (both professionally and personally). This is hitting too close to home in realtime. Knowing that eventually as Helen and Max would have to give up his/her established life in London or New York with their realtime personal lives imitating their art, and them falling in love (and S5 focusing on them living together as a married couple w/all the intimacy that follow) they would feel those same emotions deeply in realtime. Ultimately, Ryan or Freema would have to give up his/her established acting career in London or California, which is not always easy to do, to make this budding romance work. It makes more and more sense why Freema would choose to walk away from Season 5. Perhaps she's more like her character Dr. Helen Sharpe, than she realizes especially in practical matters. The longer Freema stayed, the deeper their budding romance would grow into full blown love, and a definite choice would need to be made. If New Amsterdam had not been cancelled, it may have worked out. But the danger of them living together as a married couple all through Season 5, having to do intimate scenes, and the possibility of Helen getting pregnant...my goodness, their onscreen/offscreen feelings would have been all over the place. We saw the intense chemistry between them. Freema had to back away because she had already committed herself to a new role in London, and no doubt Ryan would have something in the wind after New Amsterdam ended: scheduling conflicts all the way around. This whole relationship/love story/budding romance SLOWLY unfolded before our eyes, and at the end of S4, when Helen called Max on that rooftop, leaving him at the altar on their wedding day, those TEARS that Helen and Freema shed so profusely, were undoubtedly REAL TEARS. IMO.
I still see them as Endgame. Also, I am very excited to see how the season move on from this, the dynamic of max and Sharpe. And will the other doctors notice.

You are not.going to be crying telling this to someone simply cause you're wearing to many hats in this work relationship..The have had a connection from day one..and the moment earlier in the season when she laid on him and he hugged her..I knew my thoughts of them were on point. They cant hide it..her man sees it...even the weird fortune reader lady saw it in and said he was going to lose her..and he did..😭 I love watching them tho! It straight felt like a legit breakup.
Just watched Season 3 and when Max said "I was robbed of my choice" when he lost his wedding ring, I thought of this scene....it was a direct reference. He wanted to choose Helen...maybe even he meant his wife dying robbed him of his choice. It was a really deep comment.
Max can't triage, remember? Max would not have made a choice between Georgia and Helen. Max, as Helen points out, wants all of the above. He would not have chosen to end either relationship. That's why Helen had to make that painful choice.
First the episode before this and he said “ I love my Dr”.....I love there friendship never felt like either of them were trying to disrespect his marriage....can’t wait to see where this goes....
If anything happens to Helen and she doesn’t make it after the final. I don’t think Max will fare well with that. He is so much more dependent on her than he realizes. Addition to that he is slowly falling for Helen

That pink scarf! This entire scene is Helen talking about the fact Max won’t choose and she’s wearing it again in 4x10 when Max walks away from the hospital choosing her.
I LOVE THEM. But Max has to heal and Helen has to live. I don't want them to be in a box that doesn't allow them to breathe and be themselves and to get better as their individual selves. I'd love to see them together but I'd also love them if they remained close friends. Sometimes chemistry isn't an automatic "let's be together", sometimes it's just personal and they chose each other to lean on effortlessly. We see love and think people should just be together but love comes in many forms and I enjoy seeing that in these two. They are remarkable.
The subtext of the scene is the Meredith Grey “Pick me. Choose me. Love me!” Scene from Greys Anatomy. Helen has feelings for Max & Max obviously has feelings for Helen but he won’t and quite literally CAN’T “choose” her because he’s married. It’s mind-boggling that ppl can watch these scenes and NOT see the romantic undertones. “But what if I want you?” Could not be more clear that it isn’t just as his doctor. They’ve known each other like 2 months yet they have tears in their eyes and ppl think it’s just bc she’s quitting as his doctor?!🥴This was a break up. Max wanted his wife, baby, the hospital and Helen. This was her saying “NO!”, bc the lines were too blurred and it was too hard for her.

I know everyone is expecting Georgia to die, but I don’t think it would go down that way. It’s too easy. My prediction is that Since Max is incapable of choosing, I believe that something will happen and he’ll have to choose between Georgia and the baby. He’ll choose Georgia, thinking that at least they could continue a life together and possibly try again for another child, Georgia on the other hand would be devastated and would eventually divorce him, paving the way for Max and Helen.
It just broke my heart but Helen did the right thing cause Max does not listen to her she's trying to save his life and he is putting the hospital over his wife and baby on the way they need him and yes Max we all want you we need you to be healthy we love you. After that Freema Agyeman announcement. This truly hurts more. Understandable why she left as last season was probably the worst season, one in which she was misused, written badly and my God 😠💔 that season 4 finale 😭😭. It will stay with me for life and I really truly wish I could unsee that last episode.
I will never watch Season 5. For me, the series ended in Season 4. I ordered the DVDs 1-4. I don't have the heart to see what they did to that beautiful character, Dr. Helen Sharpe.

I didn't watch season 5..just the last 2 episodes..but I had to be warned first..because I did not want to see Max leave with Wilder and he didn't..so in my mind when he and Luna left..they went to London to he with Helen.. that works better for me..because there is NO WAY Helen would leave Max and Luna..the love they shared ran deep.(I believe it did)❤
@@mommaro26 I didn't watch season 5 at all, read every review there ever was written to get an objective view of the first 2 episodes of Season 5 and nothing good, but crushing chest pains was what I got, so I gave up on the show completely. Still watch season 1-3, but can't shake knowing what came afterwards. And they didn't say anything about Max, Helen or Luna, Luna I have heard from a friend of mine, became the head or something like that at NA at the end of the last episode, still did not give me any joy. 😭😭😭 The show damaged me for life.

I don't think they're stepping back. It's just realistically speaking Max was still married up until Georgia died and now that she has died, he is grieving. It will seem really jerkish for them to continue to share alot of these moments during his grieving process. I honestly don't want Sharpe to be called a whore or for her to be a rebound. I don't want them together too soon. There are so much more things to explore individually and together. I think the writers will continue to build their friendship, and hopefully they are endgame.

When the clairvoyant woman said he was gonna loose someone he cares about deeply who wasnt his wife, he realised who she was talking about the moment Sharpe walked in and then he insisted on going back out and made a point of telling her this time he would be take care because he loOVEd his doctor. The way he said it was like a plea you know, like " im sorry I haven't been easy but dont give up on me, I'm gonna be good from now on just dont leave". She didnt catch the plea, (you can sorta see the huh? moment on her face after he said "I loOVE my doctor") I guess she didnt realise where the speach was coming from.

(a) Max totally "loves" his doctor, and that doctor is her, Helen and

The writers realized they screwed up with Max being married because Sharpe and Max has amazing chemistry. Even though, this is heartbreaking at least she chose not to be his doctor instead of his friend.
This is an amazing and complex scene. Helen realizes she has to be the stronger person despite her deep affection for Max. "I have to triage us". She's left Max with no option at least for the time being. It will be fascinating to see where the writers take their relationship in the upcoming seasons. There is a lot left unsaid and undone between them, please don't leave it on the cutting floor!
The writers on this show have got it together it's so rare this scene is magical these actors have so much chemistry it's unheard of.
What a great scene. I think the writers made a huge mistake in making Max married. They put that character in a marital box, probably never expecting him to have awesome chemistry with Helen. Now they're stuck with this blinding chemistry they can't hide or write around.

One of the most powerful things about this heart-wrenching is two-fold:
1. no doctor's mere reassignment is this soul-devastating, so this rooftop "talk" really has NOTHING to do with any mere "doctor-patient" relationship. This is a moment where a woman deeply in love decides to self-sacrifice when the married man who loves her perhaps even more deeply (if that's possible) cannot confront the reality of his on-again-off-again marriage versus the passionate, all-consuming love that he has for Helen.
2. Max's Freudian slip at the Clairvoyant's home--"I love my doctor"--becomes, on this wrenching rooftop scene, Freud's revenge: "But what if I WANT YOU?" What he has tried to hide from himself is now right up front, undeniable, burning and bright and real like the sun: Max now knows in the here and now--and not (barely) buried in his subconscious--that Helen is EVERYTHING to him. Max now knows consciously that he is hopelessly in love with Helen. And now, Helen knows it, too.
This where New Amsterdam gets better than good. It gets real.

Even though he’s in love with Helen, he can’t say that to her, because he’s still married, which means he can’t be with her either. Not fully. So while he can’t decide and this might be great for him cz he gets to not break up his marriage and still have Helen close to him, it’s breaking her cz she’s not getting all or even enough of him. I agree which why I don't understand why fans think that they decide to go romantic because of the chemistry. Um no the very first scene hinted at it. His interaction with her from the beginning was on an equal level. All the other doctors didn't know what to make of him . But with her it was different.
She is talking about their romantic relationship in there. Max has a the care, energy, and talent to put 150% into whatever it is he wants to accomplish. He never has to choose between multiple things because he finds a way to pull off the impossible through sheer force of will. He likes and respects Sharpe incredibly, and says and does everything right to win her over. Sharpe knows that there's something between them, but that thing between them is just another thing in Max's life that he's unwilling to choose at the expense of other things. He won't choose her, and she won't be on the backburner.

@NeCe Love Truthfully, I have always felt that there was something between Ryan and Freema beyond their characters. It was apparently clear that they were deeply attracted to each other during the series, and true feelings were being exhibited and expressed both in their onscreen and offscreen appearances. They were feeling it for sure, but in realtime, Freema lives in London, and Ryan lives in California. It's hard to maintain a long distance relationship; eventually one has to be willing to uproot his/her life, and follow after the other one. My take is that Ryan fell in love with Freema and she with Ryan. If you remember, once Max and Helen crossed over from friends and colleagues, and consummated their 'ship into a full blown boyfriend/girlfriend/lovers relationship, immediately Helen (Freema) while still being intimate with him said, "I should have never let you in" (what? In her apartment or in her heart?). Next, we see him sitting up in the bed, and her on the edge of the bed staring into space, and Max (Ryan) says, "Helen (Freema), talk to me". She said she felt very sad when he talked of the FUTURE and he asked, why, is it too soon? She shook her head "no". Helen knew that she would be returning home to London. In realtime Freema knew she would be returning home to London. Max (Ryan) responds, take time whatever time you need; take a leave of absence; but Helen (Freema) who always looks at the practical side, says, Max (Ryan) I need to go home to London for GOOD (meaning permanently). There is so much subtext going on in that scene after they slept together. Next, they walk out to the kitchen, and Helen says to Max, I think you should go, and he says, "no, I won't. She says, "you won't". He responds, "you know how long it has taken me to get here (this intimate place with you), I'm not just going to walk away and leave", and she turns and walks, he follows her and says, "talk to me". She tells him, she has been offered a job as medical director of the clinic in London (it mirrors Freema being offered a new role in London as well, causing a scheduling conflict which prevents Freema from returning to New Amsterdam in Season 5). Plus, in that same scene, she says to Max(Ryan), we can't have a long distance relationship without ever having a short one. This is when Max (Ryan) says, why not?" Now that I've held you and kissed you, and humiliated myself". "How have you humiliated yourself", she asks, and he backs up and walks outside and shouts to all the world (us the viewing public), "I LOVE THIS WOMAN, and NOW SHE IS TRYING TO DUMP ME"! Max (Ryan) knows he loves Helen (Freema). He threatens to take off his pants and run buck naked in her neighborhood if she doesn't fight for this. (It's almost like he is saying, "I'm ready to expose my true feelings to the world). Immediately she blurts out TWICE (not once but twice) "I LOVE YOU", "I LOVE YOU" (Isn't it interesting she says, "I love you" twice (once for Max and again for Ryan) and he stares lovingly at her before bending down to kiss her. These two are into each other in a big way. The next scene shows them back in the bedroom (showered, Max fully dressed, and Helen, wearing a beautiful floral bathrobe; clearly time has passed after being outside) going through their phone calendars to see how they can make this long distance relationship work, but there seems to be scheduling conflicts, one after another, and Helen (Freema) says, "lets not do this right now because I don't want to ruin it". Max (Ryan) staring intently at her, says in a quiet voice, "it's not ruined; it's just a scheduling thing. It will work" (it kind of mirrors their realtime relationship. They're both actors, living in different countries, and they're bound to have scheduling conflicts). Helen says, I (Freema) REALLY want it to work, Max (Ryan). No doubt, like the roof top scene, where Helen must make the decision to triage, and step back from being Max's doctor to save his life, Freema has to be the one to triage, and sacrifice her role as Helen, choosing not to return for S5 because staying on, and doing more scenes as a couple (Max/ Helen) who are about to get married, sharing their lives together on the DAM would undoubtedly bring them even closer together (both professionally and personally). This is hitting too close to home in realtime. Knowing that eventually as Helen and Max would have to give up his/her established life in London or New York with their realtime personal lives imitating their art, and them falling in love (and S5 focusing on them living together as a married couple w/all the intimacy that follow) they would feel those same emotions deeply in realtime. Ultimately, Ryan or Freema would have to give up his/her established acting career in London or California, which is not always easy to do, to make this budding romance work. It makes more and more sense why Freema would choose to walk away from Season 5. Perhaps she's more like her character Dr. Helen Sharpe, than she realizes especially in practical matters. The longer Freema stayed, the deeper their budding romance would grow into full blown love, and a definite choice would need to be made. If New Amsterdam had not been cancelled, it may have worked out. But the danger of them living together as a married couple all through Season 5, having to do intimate scenes, and the possibility of Helen getting pregnant...my goodness, their onscreen/offscreen feelings would have been all over the place. We saw the intense chemistry between them. Freema had to back away because she had already committed herself to a new role in London, and no doubt Ryan would have something in the wind after New Amsterdam ended: scheduling conflicts all the way around. This whole relationship/love story/budding romance SLOWLY unfolded before our eyes, and at the end of S4, when Helen called Max on that rooftop, leaving him at the altar on their wedding day, those TEARS that Helen and Freema shed so profusely, were undoubtedly REAL TEARS. IMO.
I still see them as Endgame. Also, I am very excited to see how the season move on from this, the dynamic of max and Sharpe. And will the other doctors notice.

That pink scarf! This entire scene is Helen talking about the fact Max won’t choose and she’s wearing it again in 4x10 when Max walks away from the hospital choosing her.
At the end of the day this was the right decision because max needs a doctor who’s not gonna be objective to him
I LOVE THEM. But Max has to heal and Helen has to live. I don't want them to be in a box that doesn't allow them to breathe and be themselves and to get better as their individual selves. I'd love to see them together but I'd also love them if they remained close friends. Sometimes chemistry isn't an automatic "let's be together", sometimes it's just personal and they chose each other to lean on effortlessly. We see love and think people should just be together but love comes in many forms and I enjoy seeing that in these two. They are remarkable.

It’s mind-boggling that ppl can watch these scenes and NOT see the romantic undertones. “But what if I want you?” Could not be more clear that it isn’t just as his doctor. They’ve known each other like 2 months yet they have tears in their eyes and ppl think it’s just bc she’s quitting as his doctor?!🥴This was a break up. I know everyone is expecting Georgia to die, but I don’t think it would go down that way. It’s too easy. My prediction is that Since Max is incapable of choosing, I believe that something will happen and he’ll have to choose between Georgia and the baby. He’ll choose Georgia, thinking that at least they could continue a life together and possibly try again for another child, Georgia on the other hand would be devastated and would eventually divorce him, paving the way for Max and Helen.
It just broke my heart but Helen did the right thing cause Max does not listen to her she's trying to save his life and he is putting the hospital over his wife and baby on the way they need him and yes Max we all want you we need you to be healthy we love you.

After that Freema Agyeman announcement. This truly hurts more. Understandable why she left as last season was probably the worst season, one in which she was misused, written badly and my God 😠💔 that season 4 finale 😭😭. It will stay with me for life and I really truly wish I could unsee that last episode.
I will never watch Season 5. For me, the series ended in Season 4. I ordered the DVDs 1-4. I don't have the heart to see what they did to that beautiful character, Dr. Helen Sharpe.
@@linda_smilesrfree2744 I am still hurting, the writers really did outdo themselves, I can't even watch season 1-3 and enjoy the character as I used too, without really thinking about Season 4 and 5.

I didn't watch season 5..just the last 2 episodes..but I had to be warned first..because I did not want to see Max leave with Wilder and he didn't..so in my mind when he and Luna left..they went to London to he with Helen.. that works better for me..because there is NO WAY Helen would leave Max and Luna..the love they shared ran deep.(I believe it did)❤
@@mommaro26 I didn't watch season 5 at all, read every review there ever was written to get an objective view of the first 2 episodes of Season 5 and nothing good, but crushing chest pains was what I got, so I gave up on the show completely. Still watch season 1-3, but can't shake knowing what came afterwards. And they didn't say anything about Max, Helen or Luna, Luna I have heard from a friend of mine, became the head or something like that at NA at the end of the last episode, still did not give me any joy. 😭😭😭 The show damaged me for life.

in season 1 they were so much more dynamic.... I feel like the writers in season 2 are like avoiding their conversations and stuff
I don't think they're stepping back. It's just realistically speaking Max was still married up until Georgia died and now that she has died, he is grieving. It will seem really jerkish for them to continue to share alot of these moments during his grieving process. I honestly don't want Sharpe to be called a whore or for her to be a rebound. I don't want them together too soon. There are so much more things to explore individually and together. I think the writers will continue to build their friendship, and hopefully they are endgame.
