Is anyone else in love with the way he said "are you okay?" at 1:40? Idk he said it so softly and quietly, it felt more private and intimate as if he was asking his partner and not his coworker. I love the small things between them.
I noticed it in Blacklist as well. He has this ability to secretly draw you into his warmness, gentleness and cares. Makes you feel comfortable.

they are so soft spoken with each other, along with the out of focus background, it's like they are in their own little world.

He's not relieved because he was trying to get better for Georgia and his baby but he feels like what's the point if his wife isn't there to share his life with? He's also feeling guilty about being in love with Helen while he was married to Georgia. He's also dealing with being a single parent. If anything he expected to be the one to die and leave behind Georgia and his baby but here he's like suffering from survivors guilt.
Well, I certainly think you are right about what you said regarding Max suffering from survivor's guilt. Max is certainly also suffering from the guilt he feels about falling in love with Helen while Georgia was alive. I can recall a scene in Season 1 when Max asked Helen to be his doctor because he wanted to be a husband and a father. Yes, "If anything he expected to be the one to die and leave behind Georgia and his baby." However, I don't know how you arrived at "he feels like what's the point if his wife isn't there to share his life with." I never got the impression that Max and Georgia were deeply in love with each other. Certainly, Georgia's death does indeed overshadow his ability to experience happiness about the news, but you are probably reading more into Max's emotional connection to Georgia than what was actually there. Based upon the script, it's quite clear that Max and Georgia's marriage was not a happy one, and in all likelihood it would have ended in a divorce while Luna was still quite young.

Max and Georgia loved each other but their was an intimacy missing. Early in Season 1 Georgia kept asking Max to let her in but he could only tell her he loved her but from Day 1 there was a connection with Helen and he and her started opening up to each other personally…… it’s like Georgia was still not accepting Max for who he was until he collapsed and then she began to understand his job was part of him because of his love for his Sister Luna….
The good thing is though their is a connection between Max and Helen they both still controlled their boundaries but the heart eventually wants what it wants…. What’s destined will be

I am team Max/Helen all the way, Helen has been stripped of everything simply because she's dedicated to her patients. The world needs more doctors like Helen and Max. She's now going to need the strength and support of Max and her friends.Wow, to me January 14 th. seems like eons away.

My heart breaks for Max and Sharpe she's been stripped of everything. I hope that Max can help her I want him to find out that Castro black mailed Sharpe she let her on board so Max could get his treatments. I no he misses Georgia and wish she could be with him but you have Luna to raise and you will always have a part of you and Georgia the love you had for one another in the Garden upstairs she told you that you had to let her go your Dam Fam is there for you they have your back they love you and they hate to see you hurting so bad.

Once Max is able to fully move on, I feel then they'll move towards an actual relationship since they both care deeply for one another. Right now, I feel like Max is still hung up on the death of his wife, though he's finally starting to take the steps to move past it.
I was so depressed when they cancelled this show Ryan Freema Janet Jacko Tyler you could not ask for a greater cast than them I so wish they would bring them back NBC really messed up on that one by cancelling them
