- It's the return of all that is good! If you like reunions that are years in the making then you'll love this full movie reaction to Wes Craven's New Nightmare!
The fact that Alanda can pull off the look of NANCY herself is living proof that she is absolutely survivor girl material.
YEEESSS✨️
She can absolutely pull off the wholesome, girl next door look. Just put a denim notebook and a textbook covered with a paper bag in her arm and she is totally ready for the time machine. Also, I was one of those folks who saw this in the theatre in 1984. I was 12 and my older cousin got us in to see it.
She wouldnt be foolish enough to place herself into such precarious situations 😂
@@NickiraFierceI can see it now. 😂 She's walking down the street, sees the dark alley with the monster at the other end and goes "Nope. I'm good. That’s e-fuckin-nough." She then starts turning and walking the other way and if the monster tries to creepily stalk her, she'll turn around, point a single solitary finger and say "AH! You need to keep your little gremlin looking ass in that dark area where I don't have to see you!" 😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t know if you consider this horror, but would you ever watch The Resident Evil Series ? And everybody in the chat, do you think it’s a good one for her to watch if she decides to start a series ?
This movie was loosely based on a real-life stalking incident Heather Langenkamp had to deal with back in the 1990’s. Apparently this stalker was so scary and was making life so miserable for Heather & her family, she had to move to another country for a few years to get away from him. Wes got Heather’s permission to weave her story into the screenplay for this film and that’s how it came to be
holy shit that's crazy, I had no idea!
The irony is that the stalker wasn't even a fan of Nightmare on Elm Street.
Dude liked Heather because of one of the TV shows that she used to be on.
@@rodgill9376 Yeah, it was this very anodyne TGIF sitcom called Just the Ten of Us, a spin-off of Growing Pains. Heather Langenkamp is also married to an SFX guy in real life, too, who started working with Wes Craven on The Serpent and the Rainbow. Thanks to that, she had a cameo as an alien in Star Trek: Into Darkness, and if you haven't seen the pictures of her there, they'll make your week.
@@damianoakes2592 yep. That's the one! Its really weird and wild that Heather's stalker did so because of that what Wes called a "Mom's and apple pie show." Most people assumed that the stalker was a fan of ANOES but no. Just a normal tv show caused a dude to stalk someone. Dude was odd!
@@rodgill9376Yea when I first heard the story, i just naturally assumed it was an obsessive Freddy fan that was stalking her. It wasn’t until a long time later that I found out it was actually some guy who was pissed off about some random show being cancelled that Heather was in lol i was like WTF what a weirdo 😂
Heather gave an amazing Performance. The script was way ahead of its time. Im so happy it's finding a new audience. This is pre scream and Really shows how Wes was a master storyteller. May he rest in peace.
I watched Scream because of him and that is one of my favorite franchises too. Wes is so missed.
I always crack a smile when you call Freddy "Fredrick". 😂
same
Same and when she call Chucky “Charles” 😂
@@toniodee7814I remember during a Halloween reaction she said "Michael Halloween Myers". 😂😂 Too funny.
No bc same! she hit him with his government name🤣🤣
And Chucky is "Charles" lol. It's like a mother chiding a son by using his Christian name.
"I thought you were someone else, but don't mutha fuckin TRY ME" -I CAN'T 💀🤣🤣🤣
"A single mom who works two jobs
Who loves her kids and never stops
With gentle hands and the heart of a fighter
I'm a survivor!!!"
Heather had her job cut out for her here like a widowed mother and actress... that's too much! I love your Nancy casual cosplay Alanda so gorgeous!!
REBA, THE NEW NIGHTMARE FAN!?? Oh that’s exactly right🤌🏾
Also thank you 🥰
@@AlandaParkeryou're a fan of Reba the TV show 😮 I am too
This is my favorite comment ever on any video.
The Reba of it all!
Apparently, Wes wanted Johnny Depp to come back but because he got so famous, he fears Johnny would say no. A while later when the two met up, Johnny said he would’ve happily come back to the franchise
Depp makes a cameo in Part 6 - Freddy’s Dead.
I was lucky enough to see this in the theaters. When Nancy screamed F**K YOU! to Freddy in that temple, the entire theater audience turned into the Meryl Streep/Jennifer Lopez applause gif. Everyone was screaming and pointing and cheering her on, because it was ten years in the making and Heather just nailed everything in this movie. What a gift this was to fans. Thanks so much for reacting to it, Queen Alanda!
omg it must've been so much fun!
Wow what a moment! You are lucky! I would have been screaming as well. Cause Nancy and Sidney are my two favorite final girls. Totally agreed Heather came back fierce than ever.
GIRL THIS LOOK ITS GIVING ICON, ITS GIVING QUEEN, ITS GIVING EVERYTHING
and that's on Nancy Thompson 😭
@@AlandaParker I mean I’m truly gagged like it’s the effortless slay for me like wow god bless you TRULY!!!
Yesss !!
Very Much So
Miss Julie (RIP) was another shining example of a real one…the way she loved that boy and tried to protect him. Love her!
No matter what she knew what was good for Dylan and just went with it. A queen
My grandmother was always pissed and upset that Frederick killed her. She was a real one.
Alanda is back full force!! Love the excitement, and she looks gorgeous, as always 💙 Definitely giving us Nancy 2.0 🎉
💯
i still can never understand how anyone can dislike this movie.. it’s truly a masterpiece
It always feels a little bittersweet watching and finishing a Wes Craven film. He was so talented, creative and warm and gave so many people confidence that whatever horrors they were facing in their lives could be overcome and it’s just so sad that he’s not here anymore. But always remember that when life gets you down, be courageous like Nancy, or Sidney, or Dewey, or Poindexter.
Glad to have the queen back on track. 👑
Facts.
Hey J!!! Fancy seein you here 😊 I agree wholeheartedly
Yaaas🎉
Waiting for MONEYBALL still
Exactly bro
Not sure if you noticed it but Freddy is credited as “Himself” in the credits. When I saw this as a very small child the terror that instilled 😂. Even so, I watched this many, many times. It’s one of those horror movies that makes me return to a cozy time in life. Glad you enjoyed it so much! :) The Nancy Trilogy from the Nightmare movies is everything. Also, you look fantastic and gave the best possible reaction video this movie deserves. I’m excited for the next few weeks!
Miko Hughes is a horror icon himself. He was in the original Pet Sematary and he pops up in a few other 80s and 90s movies.
He was also in several episodes of Full House (as little Michelle's friend) and he was in Kindergarten Cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger 😉
@@MLJ7956👍🏽
Not to mention the infamous Zeus & Roxanne / Mercury Rising!
Wes Craven set out to make a much more cerebral film and to bring Freddy much more in line with his original conception of the character. And he was also pioneering what we now think of as "meta". And it all works really well here. This is one of the most effective entries in the franchise.
Man, it’s too bad this one didn’t do as good as it could have at the box office. For whatever reason folks just didn’t appreciate Wes’ first stab at meta horror as much as they should have. This walked so Scream could run.
@@carlossegura3697SO TRUE
@@carlossegura3697, horror movies, especially slashers, were considered "dead" at the time. The market was over saturated with mostly bad slasher flicks, and the box office numbers for horror films were falling fast. Plus, this was when most people expected the sequels in big franchises (including Elm Street) to suck, and many people figured NEW NIGHTMARE was just going to be another sucky sequel.
Heather Langenkamp is MOTHER. 👑 and New Nightmare is criminally underrated.
Fun little bit that is easy to overlook: The coroner Heather talks to after her husband dies, is actually Gale’s original cameraman! The man himself Kenny.
OMG!!!! That IS Kenny! Why did I never catch that?! 😩 Thank you for this comment bc I’d have never figured out why he looked familiar to me! 💜
What is it about Heather Langenkamp that she manages to look even more flawless every time she's in a new nightmare film? The face card, the hair, the fashion!!! Her hair in this one is my favorite.
I was so excited for you to get to this one, and your Nancy look is flawless. There's so much of Heather Langencamp's real life in this movie; it's like the whole movie is one big celebration of her, and I LOVE it.
The crushing on Heather was killing me because YES also I can’t believe this day is here! Perfect comeback indeed. And omg the Nancy twinning was TOP NOTCH!!! You looked fantastic!
Fun fact: while the script already had the earthquakes written in as plot points, the massive Northridge earthquake happened while they were shooting the movie. The shots of the city destruction were from actual damage caused by that earthquake. While not fully confirmed, it’s been alleged a few crew members actually left the film after the earthquake happened because they were freaked out given the plot of the movie and the tie in’s of fictional earthquakes in the script.
"The dawn of meta!"
New Nightmare is some great meta-horror. I watched this many years after Scream, and loved the movie within a movie elements that Wes would later re-use on Scream/Stab.
Bringing Heather back as herself is brilliant, and she's just as great as her previous entries.
Getting to see Robert Englund out of the make-up for a change is nice too.
Alanda pulls off ANY look flawlessly!! ❤❤
People didn’t really like this movie as much when it came out which was crazy to me. The meta thing wasn’t as well received. This movie is a MASTERPIECE and it’s so funny to see everyone gag over Nancy because everytime I watch I legit have the same reaction. All I kept saying was “Lawd, Nancy looks Goodt!”🤣
"That's Fredrick in that bowl of oatmeal" and "y'all put these bodies in the frigerator!" and "Freddy Bunches of Oats" I've been waiting for this. 😂😂😂
Alanda calling freddy “fredrick” will never get old to me 😂. Reminds me of my wretched uncle 💀😂
This “sequel” was the most creative (besides the original) of the entire franchise. I love the premise of the actual stars of the original NIGHTMARE having nightmares of Freddy, not as a character played by Robert Englund, but as a terrifying larger than life entity. My favorite part was towards the end where Heather literally turns into Nancy to defeat Freddy!♥️💚
Fun fact: Heather actually married a special effects artist, and they opened an SFX company together. They designed a lot of the various monstrosities in Cabin in the Woods.
New Nightmare is so underrated! The perfect mix of all the good things about the movies! Just witty enough, but Freddy is scary again. Wes was early on to meta with this. Heather is fantastic (cinema's best mother). That scene where she accepts she has to be Nancy again always gives me chills!
Julies death scene was easily the hardest one to watch throughout the entire series. She was an OG.
So glad to see you back! And with a Freddy Krueger movie no less. As a kid, after suffering the devastation and heartbreak of losing Nancy in the third film, I was overjoyed to see her return. I remember literally snatching a copy of this off the video store shelf. Even though this film is very different from others in the series, we still get Heather/Nancy going head to head with Freddy again. What a treat this was and still is for Nancy fans. Points out how special and crucial she was to the series.
It's not a "movie", but there's a docu from Heather Langencamp called "I am Nancy" on YT. Besides feat. a great, new song, its a more feministic view abt Nancy/Final Girls vs. Freddy/The Killers in the legacy of horror, the fans & merchandising. For instance, the only merch toy for Nancy is a figure in the bathtub w/ Freddy's claw between her legs. :•/ I can't recommend it not only for "Nightmare" fans, but also for anyone of slasher films history & the industry's handling of their female protagonist & male antagonist overtime.
All those people you saw back in the day used to work at THE ACTUAL NEW LINE CINEMA Headquarters in Burbank California.... The grey head guy with the curly hair was the original EXECUTIVE PRODUCER Robert "BOB" Schea.. Him and RIP 🕯️ Wes Craven 🕯️ both cameoed in this Which was a rare treat to see...
Alanda girl you stay serving us LUSCIOUS LOCKS
🥹🥰🙏🏾
“He done decipher the cipher” had me cackling at work😭🤣 Missed this QUEEN💅🏻
Alanda, the actor who played Dylan also played Gage in Pet Semetary and he was also in Kindergarten Cop. He reprised his role of Dylan, this year, in Dylan's New Nightmare (here in RUclips). It's a fan film follow-up to New Nightmare.
This movie was WAY ahead of its time, and people didn't really like it when it came out, but over the years most of those people have realized how brilliant and at the time *completely original* it was. I love you, Alanda!
Vince McMahon actually made this movie back at SummerSlam 1989 when Zeus The Human Wrecking Machine entered the real world from the Movie No Holds Barred to seek revenge on Hulk Hogan who played Rip in the movie.
I gotta say your hair looks absolutely gorgeous! Btw I’m so happy you’re reacting to my favorite Elm Street movie. This was definitely a precursor for Scream with all the meta before meta was a thing. I do like that the actors were able to have actual real live things added to the movie. The part about the stalker was a real thing that Heather had to deal with and her real life husband works in special effects and she did have a son the same age as Dylan. Her son sadly passed away a few years ago cancer. Also since you love Heather/Nancy you should watch the documentary I Am Nancy that Heather did a few years ago.
“Every kid knows who Freddy is. He’s like Santa Claus or King Kong.”
I love everything about this movie
Now you should watch Dylan’s New Nightmare, it’s a fan made sequel and it has a grown up Dylan played by the same actor who played him here. It doesn’t have Heather in it(I’m hoping in the sequel if they make one) but it’s an awesome continuation of this story. This movie is my favorite and you did not disappoint! ❤
That little boy was everywhere in the 90s: Pet Cemetery, Kindergarten Cop, Mercury Rising, Zeus and Roxanne, Full House, The Nanny -- Miko Hughes was basically the 90s Jacob Tremblay.
I'd recommend seeing Dylan's New Nightmare. It's an indie film starring the guy who played Dylan, Miko Hughes but as an adult.
I came here to say that. It was really good!
Real life earthquake damage was used in this because the 1994 Northbridge earthquakes happened during filming. So the movie became even more accidentally meta.
“We are filthy, but we are alive” 😂 words to live by
Little kid was in the original Pet Sematary and was a recurring character on Full House.
Only Wes could reinvent his own character without making it a parody of itself. He truly was a genius.
New Nightmare was one of my fav movies, as a kid, so I find it ironic that there’s a whole debate within the film whether or not her son should be allowed to watch the Nightmare movies. 😆 Also, you are SERVINGGGG, I’m so obsessed with this look!
Did you notice all the Elm Street alum at the funeral?? Jsu Garcia from part 1 and Tuesday Knight from 4!
Such an underrated freddy movie. One of the best ones since 1, 2 & 3. The others wasn't so great!!
Looks like Christmas came early this year because we are back on schedule with Queen Alanda. I love that they made Freddy actually terrifying again. Julie’s death scene so creepy. Also, this paved the way for Wes to create Scream, so another thing to be grateful for with this film ❤️
Perfect. Perfect. New Nightmare walked so that scream could run. A balm for the soul after the disaster of Nightmare 4-6.
I'm so glad you loved this one! Definitely a top-tier Freddy movie! If you're ever wanting another great Wes Craven heroine, check out 2005's Red Eye, which is also super underrated like this one. I'm sure you'll get to Freddy's Dead one of these days (maybe in the lead up to Freddy vs. Jason). I think you'll enjoy it much more than Part 5, it's also bad, but it's fun bad.
Speaking of Part 5, and I think I mentioned this in my comment on that video, but it's cool how this movie takes ideas from that film but executes them in a much more compelling way. The only other franchise I can think of that does that is the James Bond series, where Skyfall is like the good version of The World Is Not Enough.
Dylan is played by the actor who was in full house. He was Michelle's pre-school friend. Julie is played by Tracy Middendorf, she played Emma's mom Maggie Duval in the Scream TV Series. She was also in Angel Season 1
It's really fun to watch the credits for this movie and see how many people played themselves. From the movie executive Heather meets with, to Wes Craven, Robert Englund, all the way down to some of the tech and FX guys. It truly was a meta movie.
"SCREW your pass!" Yup! That's Nancy! 🤣
I could be wrong .i Loved the film from when i first saw it. But it was ahead of the curve on the meta horror. I think it took a few years to be fully appreciated. But this film literally set the stage for "Scream" 2 years later. I call it the masterpiece and easily the best sequel to the Nightmare series.
"That's Frederick in that bowl of oatmeal" 😂😂
😂😂😂
This movie is so meaningful to me. I think it is a masterpiece but, you'd be shocked to hear that it was a huge bomb at the box office and everyone pretty much ignored it. I saw it in an empty theater when I was 14. Huge theater, completely empty. It has really REALLY taken decades to start getting the recognition that it deserves which is mind-blowing because the whole thing is just firing on all cylinders at all times. Just, all-timer set-pieces, one after the other that are POWERFUL.
I am so glad that you just got to experience the ride that you did and that you loved every second of it. Wes Craven at the top of his game!
It was going against pulp fiction and also Freddy’s dead left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
First off Alanda you are the best RUclipsr ever second you look so beautiful in this video, your hair, everything you got the Nancy look down to a T
The child Miko Hughes was a little baby when he starred in the first pet senetary film in the 80s
And West Craven did West Craven’s new nightmare in 1994, which gave them the idea to make the scream films in 1996 two years later
Also, at the funeral scene, you see actors, Nick Corey from the original a nightmare on Elm Street, He played Tina‘s boyfriend and Tuesday knight who played Kristen Parker in a nightmare on elm Street part four the dream master.
Last, but not least there is a fan made film short titled Dylan’s new nightmare actor who played the little boy Dylan is now an adult in this short and it’s free on RUclips. You should react to it. It was very good and the actor who played Freddie did a magnificent job.
I just noticed, the coroner played Kenny, the cameraman in Scream 1
Just started watching so I don't know if you mentioned or if you even know that in real life Heather Lagenkamp's husband is an artist and has a special effects studio. Heather herself has done makeup and special fx on Zach Snyder's _Dawn of the Dead_ and _Cabin in the Woods_ and more. One of my favorite final girls on screen & off.
After watching this franchise get sillier and cheaper over the years, this movie was a return and a vindication for Wes Craven and his fans, not to mention fans of Heather Langenkamp. She is a fierce heroine! It was a great theater experience. I'm so glad you finally watched it.
I'm so happy the strike is over and you are amazing. My mom wouldn't watch Pearl, but I showed her your reaction and she enjoyed it. Thank you.
True Story:
Alanda, I've become such a huge fan of your channel over more than a year that I now play your videos as background sound when I need an uplifting or enthusiastic voice during the course of my day. And I listen/watch your videos regardless of the genre of the movie. I literally listened to this while doing morning yoga today!
My two favorite moments:
26:09 Girl, you did not just channel Megan! I was rolling
45:50: A tutorial in how to kill. I can tell you've watched a lot of horror movies now! LMAO.
I’m so glad she loved this one bc it’s one of my favorites. NoES 1, 3, and New Nightmare forever! 🖤
"A legion of Fredericks?" 😂
I felt so bad for Alanda during this reaction 🥺 She was so stressed & on edge that she was judging the innocent/good characters so quickly & then just a few seconds later, she’d realize that all was well with their intentions/actions lol. It was so obvious how tense she was throughout 🥺🥺🥺
So I just screamed "YAAASSS" and snapped fingers in the air. The husband looked at me like I was odd. So glad you did this! I went to the cinema when this was released, seeing Heather on the big screen as Nancy / herself was so feckin good!! ❤
Fun fact: Lin Shay who played the teacher in the first movie and the nurse in this movie is the sister of the founder of New Line Cinema. He’s the executive that she meets with at the beginning of the movie who tells her about the new nightmare film
She was also the nurse who show's up to give Dylan the sleeping pill, which Dylan pretended to take.
She’s also who plays Elise in the Insidious movies
Hey Alanda!
The voices not syncing up with the visuals. Was not a creative choice. That was definitely a technical error. If you’re using prime, especially on a smart TV. That app is notorious for audio video sync issues.
Regardless. I’m glad you loved Wes Craven’s A New Nightmare! It’s one of my favorites in the franchise!
“I like, I love it, I want some more of it” 😂😂😂
Also, “Freddy Bunches of Oats” is iconic 🤣
I never cry watching movie reactions cause I'm usually just along for the ride enjoying these movies I've watched for years. But, I cried with Heather Langenkamp's acting and the nostalgia of it all. This movie came out the year I was born so I didn't watch it until I was 4 so around 1998. I have so much love for the nightmare franchise. Wes Craven was a big part of my childhood. The big scenes I love are when Heather and Wes are talking about the script and she's saddened hearing that it's her who has to put the genie back in the bottle. Like, she has so much power both as herself in reality and the character. And the other scene that has stuck with me is Dylan trying to reach God. That was a big moment that shaped me as a kid. Such a good film, such a good reaction. I love you so, Alanda. Definitely gonna come back to this reaction regularly
I was getting teary from
This reaction as well!
Alanda is watching my FAVE nightmare movie????? This may be my most anticipated reaction yet 😍
In 2010 someone made a great, extremely thorough documentary about the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise called Never Sleep Again. Now, I'm not suggesting you watch this for the channel because it addresses every movie (as well as the AWFUL tv series) in order and is therefore *stupid long* at about four hours. It is, however, a really interesting watch that I think you'd enjoy.
Hadn't seen this in probably 15 years, then watched it last month during the horror movie challenge I did. I remembered the kid who plays Dylan from Kindergarten Cop, but decided to IMDB him to see if he was still making movies and I didn't recognize him as an adult. Which yes, but what blew my mind was I never knew he played Gage in Pet Sematary. At 27 months old!
45:50 - The "Tutorial for Killing" was everything!! 🤣
I just remembered Heather used to be one of my childhood crushes. Understandably so. 😂 definitely the prettiest final girl of that era too.
I love your phrase: "the dawn of meta". (This film and Craven's "Scream" really were!)
It's amazing seeing how far you've come on your horror journey! Every time you start to reference other horror films during your reactions always makes me laugh
The hair and top is everything, Crystal lake camp counselor realness
Factoid:
That building at 29:50 was real. It was from the 1994 earthquake in California which happened as the film was being made, even though "earthquakes" were already written into the script beforehand so the production crew basically decided to incorporate real earthquake footage into the movie.
I haven't watched this in so long despite absolutely loving it when I watched it as a teen. This gave me SO much life. Nancy is my #1 final girl for life! Nancy ran so Sydney could fly, like you said, plus you can also see how the meta of this movie also paved the path for Scream. Truly ahead of its time and so underrated.
I always thought it was so funny how many sleeping pills Nancy/Heather gobbles up at the end but for the first time it dawned on me that they are children's dosage so it actually makes sense.
Edit: This movie has so many fascinating behind the scenes facts, like how the footage of earthquake damage around LA is real from the Northridge earthquake which happened during filming the movie. Super meta!
Alanda, look at you! The hair, the suits. You are magnificent. You're my Heather on RUclips! Heather Langenkamp is outstanding in this film. I was sad not to see "Nancy" after "Dream Warrior," but when this movie came out in 1994, I was excited. At 10 years old, perhaps too young to watch it, but I took notes from a warrior facing her enemy, just in case it happened to me in real life. I was young. 😂🤣 Have an excellent day, your my Heather on
"Freddy bunches of Oats."
Dead, I'm dead. LoL
Anywhoozle, I'm so very glad you finally got to this one, my favorite Elm Street film. Your excitement and enjoyment of this film was wonderful to see, and your adoration of the amazing Heather Langenkamp was everything.
A lot of commenters have covered ground I would have in regard to this film, but there is one bit I can mention. The design of Freddy's clawed hand in this film was inspired by its depiction in the original movie poster art for the first trio of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" films where it was realized as a synthesis of bone, metal, and sinew.
Keep doing what you do. Bless! :D
Fun fact! Chase is based on Heather Langenkamp's real life husband David LeRoy Anderson, who is a special effects man, as in the film. David's first big break was working for Craven on The Serpent And The Rainbow.
NO ONE is funnier or more entertaining than Alanda on RUclips! The best reactions!!! I love this movie and I feel you Alanda, is hard not to drool all over how beautiful Heather is
Frfr
You are absolutely giving Nancy vibes! This is by far my favorite "Nightmare" of the whole franchise. Robert Englund and Heather Langenkamp are so iconic. The story is insane, scary and so meta.
So excited the strike is over so u can get back to chipping away at your list.
I hope you still plan to watch the Rob Zombie Halloweens and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) :)
GIRLLLL I FLEW OVER HERE!! I found you from your nightmare on elm st reactions🎉🎉 I love you to pieces girl🤎🤎WE BACK🤎🤎🤎
And I love the Nancy look you’re giving 😍
😭💛💃🏾
This is a gift a treasure. Nancy is my favorite Final Girl and I like seeing her go out on top.
Still my favourite nightmare film it’s a banger. A forever horror fan. Wes was our hero. We miss him.
i got to meet heather recently and she was so nice and shes still STUNNING
YASSSSS so happy when I saw the notification ❤😍💯💯 love that you are so fully into the horror genre
I met Heather at a convention and she was so lovely. If you bought an autograph she took a selfie with you for free (most charge individually for an auto or a selfie). She was great
I love New Nightmare. Other than the original A Nightmare On Elm Street, it's my 2nd favorite in the franchise. I saw this movie in the theater with my mom when I was 13. So that scene where he pops out of the closet and says Did you miss me? Girl, I jumped so high that I practically climbed up the back of my chair. I've seen this movie billions of timesince 94 and I still laugh about that scene startling the crap outta me. Considering there were plenty of jump scares that is the only one I remember actually getting me. Definitely the kind of person who laughs after jumping in horror films LOL.
Girl, can we talk about how good Miko Hughes was in horror movies at such a young age??!! You need to check out the original Pet Semetary if you haven't seen it yet! He's even younger in that one., Oh he was also in Kindergarten Cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger and If you're Full House fan you'll recognize him as Michelle's friend Aaron.
This is exactly the kinda energy everyone needs watching this movie 🖤 literally what a classic and such a joy seeing ur reaction!
Love this film & this reaction! I share the same enthusiasm and love for Nancy/Heather haha! She's just amazing. Also, you were totally giving Nancy in Nightmare 1! To me, Nightmare 1, Dream Warriors, and New Nightmare make up THE Nightmare trilogy. They perfectly set up Nancy as being the 'beautiful dream' to Freddy's nightmare.
oh my god your nancy fit is everything!! we stan. for real though nancy is so iconic.
Yes. I have truly missed your reviews. Lets go girl! We ready for the positive vibes and hilarious commentary 😊
