Seeing them live in 96 with the new Misfits was mind blowing for me at the young age of 20. Still one of the most intense, high energy shows ive ever seen. Unmatched.
Ah this era fucking magic. Pity most people could never appreciate it. I love the new albums with Joey but there's just something about John Bush. Also you can tell Scott, Charlie & Frankie held him in a much higher respect. Honoured to say I got to see their final show with John Perth, Australia 1 Mar 2010
My favorite band for 30 years. But I clicked on this video because the lead guitar player (obviously Rob when he first joined the band) looks exactly like the Dirty Looks guy Henrik with that stocking cap on. Dirty looks was a great band for about 10 minutes. WOW!
Rob didn't come onboard until around 99/2000. This would have been on the Stomp 442 tour cycle. Rob joined during the We've Come for You All recording sessions.

I saw them in 96 on the Stomp Tour w/ The Misfits, Life of Agony & Can Corpse. Anthrax was amazing!!! It was the first time i saw them w/ John Bush. They blew my mind. Ive seen Anthrax 13x. 6x w/ Bush and 7x w/ Joey Belladonna.....I Love Both
They tried to be more relevant in this era, and they did not sell well. So, here comes all these high money offers to reform with Joey for all these shows , including the "big 4 " Joey originally told them no thanks after how they ousted him in the early 90's, which I can't blame him. But ultimately money prevailed. Don't get me wrong, John was great, but it wasn't anything that special. It got repetitive and when the stuff they were famous for came back into fashion they jumped on it.
@@giuliobizzarri6103 cheers pal. .didn't even realise he played for them...let alone on stomp 442 with dimebag...thought I was a bigger fan than that 🙄🙄🤘🤘
Bush was a beast in Anthrax. I've seen him dive off those speakers, the crazy bast.

Wow! A set where they did more Bush stuff than Joey stuff with Bush singing. Seems rare, having seen other bootleg sets.
Protest and Survive? What album is that song from ?
@@JabbatheHut5it's a cover song from Attack of the Killer B's
wish they played Perpetual Motion. That song has been making my days for months now.
I wish Crook would get that Bushthrax thing going, we've been waiting for at least a year for that
@@agentstanley29 would that happen? Well , they got their 2nd guitarist and Joey's back for at least 10 years in the band now
Love this period of Anthrax. 👌🏻💪🏻

When i saw them on the Stomp Tour in 96 they played I Love Living in the City and a couple other one timers...they were amazing on this tour!!!
this is my golden era of anthrax…
might be my favorite setlist of vids i’ve seen…
sounds great, thanks for posting…
Yeah this is really good, probably best anthrax show ever.
Love Anthrax w/ John Bush. I am still looking for the Buffalo, NY 7/26/1996 Show
Stomp 442 fuckin' rules!

Paul Crook had long hair back then??
Yes sir. I meet him after one of the shows on the volume 8 tour. One of the coolest dudes.
I was there!!! Please tell me that you have the video from the support bands as well! (Deftones and LOA)!!!!

Lee Rawlins he was very good and underrated, like all the lead guitar players in Anthrax, everything always revolves around Scott Ian 😆
@@leerawlins8770 pretty sure he did not play on the album, Scott and Charlie played guitar
Dime also played on Stomp
Sorry, no, just Anthrax
Who do you zoom into in the back at the end of the show?
