Anthrax was my favorite band at the time, and Married With Children was my favorite show. I couldn't believe when they announced the band would be on the show. It was like a dream. I was counting the days till that episode first aired.
Lol I like the way Marcy is kind of hesitant at first n then she sees the band breaking things n she gets up from the couch n starts breaking the Bundys stuff lol
I remember when Anthrax went on Married with Children because they said it was there favorite show at the time. Married with Children was huge in NYC area. You can tell from there voice all 4 band members are natives of Brooklyn. Except Joey from upstate NY he was the hungry one.
I hope Anthrax comes over my house and have a concert. Anthrax can trash my house too by throwing and breaking stuff up. It will be highlight of my day for sure!
You know ..the character of Bud Bundy is perfect. He's like Al but inexperienced and optimistic. He has his wit and is slowly being disappointed by every aspect of the world. He will be like his father when he gets older.
Ed O'Neill said in an interview: David in the later seasons had the idea of Bud sometimes slightly imitading Al's manerism, like in real life many sons do based on their own fathers.
🎸 now partying with anthrax, totally the greatest of all episodes I think. also you will never see something like this again in television. Here is one of my favorite all-time episodes of married with children. I think they need to bring this back on air again, I do miss watching it. Great memories and great times back then
I just met Scott Ian at a horror convention and he signed a photo of the band on the Married with Children set with his famous line "the colors, the colors" for my girlfriend. Then he made a personalized video for her brother who couldn't be there due to medical issues. He was such a nice dude and seemed to genuinely appreciate all his fans.
I met him after a show in vegas about 25 years ago. He was a douchebag to all of us. All we wanted to do was say hi we enjoyed your show. We didn't want a autograph or anything. He was annoyed that he even had to talk to us. It was definitely a don't meet your hero moment.
Was it TerrorCon? I was going to go on Sunday but I had an unexpected medical situation which required surgery and hospitalization so I couldn't go. I was so excited to meet Scott but it wasn't meant to be this time around. I'm glad you got to meet him! Love the inscription of "The colors", that's hilarious
One of the coolest and funniest scenes in married with children!!!Back when commedies were so funny abd also rock/metal was mainstream. Those were the times!!!
Going to see Anthrax next month at Brooklyn bowl in Vegas. I always have to work when they come to town (which isn't often) and it will be my first time seeing them. The set lists I've seen for this 40th anniversary tour are amazing. I can't wait. Anthrax is The Law!!!
I saw this when it first aired! I saw the description for it in the LA Times' TV listings (every major newspaper used to have one), and of course I had to tune in. Aaah my high school days!
Strange because I grew up in the era and I recall the right wing conservatives triggered by Married with children because of how crude it was and the lack of traditional family values. 🙄
In the 80's I drove trucks for music tours. Anthrax was opening for Motley Crue and the production manager was British with a strong accent. About half way through load-in, it became obvious the stage hands couldn't differentiate between AMP RACK and ANTHRAX when he told them where to put equipment.
Having a metal band like Anthrax on this kind of sitcoms is just priceless.
The young ones with motorhead singing ace of spades is classic too.
I was going to like this comment but you can't F@#$ with the 333 👑
@@frankgrimes7388 where did I use the word "metal" in my comment?
I hope you have a better day tomorrow 🤓
The song is called "In My World" in case anyone was wondering.
Thanks for letting us know.
Such a great song
I'm not afraid..
I'm not afraid..
Nothing touches me
I'm a walking razor blade
Face the face of fear..
Face the face of death..

Yep one of my favorite tracks on Persistence Of Time!

I love how every member of the band had a funny line. One of my favorite episodes
And every one of them executed perfectly. LOL
@@fleatactical7390 Yeah. I noticed that they knew when to wait for the laughs to die down before saying the next line. They were good.
@@HueyRocks23 Agreed. They could have probably all pursued careers in acting. Thankfully they stuck with a better, more cerebral form of art. LOL
That was icing on the cake. The episode just gets better over time.
“It came out of the fridge, why is it hot?!” LMFAO
"Nice to meet you sir"
Never gets old😂😂😂
Marcy is actually a very good looking boy, I mean woman.
Still cracks me up
Yeah, he's a rap star, she's a genius and we're glad to be here. One of the best lines in the series 👌
Kelly was really the epitome of a hair metal girl lol. She played it beautifully.
She based Kelly on a Metal Girl from Decline of Western Civilization.
Kelly Bundy was like a cross between an ‘80s video vixen and Curly Howard.
So hot seeing her headbanging
"he's a rap star she's a genius and we're glad to be here"
glad not happy
Best line in that episode!
I love this episode and band! Happy to have been a teenager in the 80's also 😆
@Alon
He was speaking of their actors in real life, not their Characters.
Anthrax did rap with Public Enemy
4:32 The way Amanda Bearse throws these objects is one of the funniest scenes of the show lol
Like some kind of geeky little squirrel hihi
"Let's get this little guys shovel and dig a tunnel outta here" 😂😂😂😂😂
Charlie's delivery of this line is just perfect:
"If it came out of the fridge..... why's it hot...???"
🤣🤣🤣
Classic! Anthrax Rocks! Kelly and Bud getting down! Marcy smashing things and Al's Trophy had me ROTF LMBO!!!!
I showed this to MY kids and told them, This is what daddy grew up on... I think there was a glimmer of respect I'd never seen before...
❤
"Damn, Dad.. sorry we didn't know it was THAT bad🥺"
Marcy somehow being involved in all of this just makes the scene.
The coolest that Marcy has ever been in her entire life.
This was one of the best episodes. The one where Bob Rooney got trapped in the wall was hysterical!
'Awesome! Back in the day 'Indians' was my favorite Anthrax song . What a great episode.

Seen Anthrax live about 30 times since 1985. Caught a taping of this show on a vacation from Ohio. Pretty cool experience.
Charlie Benante was recently helping out with doing Drumming Duties for what's being called Pantera, too. He's a great Drummer, in my opinion.

They left the part out where Al comes home and finds a guitar stuck in the wall.
And when they sing with Edd “Kookie” Byrnes.
