- I want to share with you how I clean up each evening and prepare for the next day. I work full-time so I have to use my time wisely. I also have a two-year-old so that means I can't start my clean-up or preparation until she goes to bed. Once she's in bed, it's go time for me and I try to be as productive as possible! Follow me along as I clean-up my house and get everything ready for the following work day!

Not only am I a wife and mother to a two-year-old, but I strive to maintain a simple life in everything that I do. My two-year-old daughter keeps me pretty busy so I try to be as efficient as possible all while trying to maintain my sanity and enjoy life!

Very true about being decluttered. It's so much easier/faster to clean and to feel motivated to do so, visually looks cleaner, and allows people to quickly spot what needs to be done almost automatically, especially the kitchen. We moved and got rid of a ton of stuff that I didn't feel like replacing right away with shinier loot, only to find I liked not having it all and that we were a lot tidier (man unit in particular, yay). I notice whenever it looks cluttered (i.e. too much holiday decor or being struck lazy), we're messier and I find it a lot harder to stick to my routines and see what even needs to be done lol. I even got a little depressed and stressed two Christmases ago because of it and things looking less tidy than usual, which apparently I'd gotten used to, so even wound the decor down this year.
I think you're totally right! The Key is evening prep! :)
Finally something real. Thank you for this. 1) it was as satisfying to watch as playing Sims; 2) it isn’t one of those routines from a woman who is home all day with time to steam her drapes or something ridiculous. Love this. You are awesome ! 👏🏼👏🏼 yassss working women, we got this! 💪🏼

Haha! I usually never realize when I'm filming but then when I go to edit, I always laugh at her appearance! She's such a good dog! :)
Same here! My dog gets into trouble ON camera, when I walk out of the room. He's a hoot! He's a dachshund so he gets into trouble as a hobby. I barely notice he's always at my feet.
Jamie's Journey I love how clutter free your kitchen counters are. You did a great job cleaning. We don't have pets so I often wonder how people deal with having dogs and all that hair on them after putting in so much effort to clean. I have almost vomited from standing behind people at the grocery store who smell like a dog and their clothes are riddled with dog and cat hair. It always freaks me out to see people pet their dogs and cats and then prepare or eat food WITHOUT having washed their hands. You seem to really have a good handle on all the pet hair. Kudos to you on keeping a tidy home 😊
I make my lunch the night before as well. I'm s nurse and work 12 hour shifts, very exhausting but I always clean up my house before bed. Thanks for sharing.
I really think making my lunch before I go to bed is key to me being healthier and saving money! It's definitely the last thing I want to do at night but I'm always thankful the following day! Thanks for watching! :)

Great job! Did you redo your kitchen table or did you buy it that way? I have the same style table and it needs a paint job in the worst way. I love the gray and white combo you have on yours!
Thank you! My husband and I actually painted it ourselves! It was an older, light wood colored table and it just didn't go with our house decor. So after a lot of research, I decided to use chalk paint to paint the whole thing! It was Annie Sloan chalk paint, but I'm pretty sure you can find other chalk paints at hardware stores now. It did take 2-3 coats but there was no sanding or priming! Very easy and it works perfect in our house now.

This is great but how do you get it all done so fast? It takes me an hour just to do the dishes then I'm exhausted. I think you washed like only three items
I do have a dishwasher so most of our dinner dishes go in there. Here I just hand washed the dishes that I couldn't put in the dishwasher. I really try to move fast because the faster that I get my evening routine done, the quicker I get to relax before bed! A lot of times I like to set a timer and try to get it done in 15-20 minutes.

What would you do if your 2 year old slept anytime between 10-11pm? :/ struggling
Lillian K I have the same problem. My 3 year old does not do well with going to bed (I was honestly the same way), so sometimes he falls asleep by 8 or 9, but most nights it’s 10 or 11 no matter what I do. When I have to wake up at 5 am for work, there’s no way I can clean after the kiddo goes to bed :/
where did you get your ottoman and what's the brand ? 😍😍
I don’t know what brand it is but we got it from a local furniture store. It was actually the last one - it was on display so we got a good deal! I wish I got it from a nationwide store as I get asked a lot of questions about it!

YES THANK YOU! I work a lot and so does my boyfriend so we struggle to keep everything clean and end up with cleaning projects I definitely don’t want that so prepping the night before is such a good idea!
I hope that helps you guys! It's the last thing I want to be doing at night but it's essential that i do it or my mornings would be a disaster.
