Inspired me to work on my bathroom, it's been a rough year but I really need to add some ventilation in there. Small wins can really inspire you to work on an old house.
Most people would run away from cutting into their roof but it really isn’t that bad. Nice work Dino, always worth it to take the time and do it right 🍻
Should be straight 4" pipe with a 90 of the fan. Apart from that good job. And before the haters come on here the reason that you don't use that stuff is because once any type of fluff and moisture starts to build up around the ridges of the lining of the 4 inch flex, it can only go one way and that is to fall downward. When it is straight pipe you can evacuate way more moisture and it doesn't hang on to The ridges inside the flex.
I did. Luckily I have a knee wall upstairs for my A/C unit and I had a perfect view of where my roof rafters were. Plus I carefully measured where I wanted everything to lay out. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I did peel back the shingle at the top because that is the only thing that is required. If I had peeled back the sides or bottom shingle then water would have a way under the vent.

@@fisher22978 best of luck! Totally worth adding ventilation!

Thanks! Indeed, it is all about the details!
Thanks buddy! Made me super nervous, but turned out great!
Good stuff!
Well done Dino!!!
Thanks buddy!
You're braver than I am Dino! I wouldn't want to cut a hole into my roof. 🙄 Well done man 👊🏼
Why?

Thanks for the feedback.
Nice man! Did you get in the attic to check the roof deck for studs before cutting your hole?

Why did you place it right on the shingle and you did not peel back shingles

I wonder what the price range is for having this installed.
If I had to guess, maybe $1,000? But to be honest I never got it quoted out.
