Also on clue 1! No stress, it’s about enjoying the process and I’m loving it so far. But I couldn’t help myself and peak at the finished shawl! It’s so exciting!
I’m also still on clue one, definitely ‘embracing my own pace’! At first I wanted to try to keep up, but I had some yarn mishaps and ended up completely replacing all my yarns for the shawl so I ended up having to start over a week in. This has been my first Stephen West project, so much fun!

At 61 this has been the most fun I've had knitting in my 50 years of knitting. Just beautiful and I learned so much, kept up and finished today 11/3,, Thank you for making me feel I could try and no stress I did it !!!! You are an Amazing talented designer and teacher.
After an extended illness and absence from my needles and shawlography start I’ve finally got back to it at section 10, fingers flew and I finished it! Despite the huge time gap it looks beauuuu ti-ful !!!!

This is my very first MKAL. This is my very first Stephen West pattern. Seriously, I feel like the angels whispered into my ear and I'm SO GLAD THAT I LISTENED. I also listened when she whispered La Bien Aimee and had the joy of Aimee picking my colors with me. Your teaching style is so amazing.
I've had a great time making this shawl. Clue four, only a genius like you could work out how to knit the ending and the I-cord bind off at the same time! You always amaze me. Every shawl a work of art.
I love this shawl!! After starting together with the rest when the MKAL launched, balancing work life, kids and all, I finally completed the shawl today! It is now soaking in the pail and waiting to be blocked and dried! ❤

I appreciate how you acknowledge the grams for yard of your particular yarn- it will vary based on what material and density of yarn someone is using. Alpaca and acrylic have very different weights in my experience!

This was my first MKAL Shawlography and it won't be my last. I loved every step of the way, learning as I went from one section to the other. I have to say that I did not enjoy the section 12 as much as the others, as I would have prefer to have the same design all along and not a different effect on the first 3 stripes... my OCD did not agree with that at all, but I still followed the pattern. You are a great teacher and a shawl wizard! I've already bought yarn for the Shawlography MKAL 2022! Thank you for this wonderful experience!
Love it!!! I skipped right to the end to have a peek haha. Mine is a long way from done because I re-started and re-arranged my colours but it’s all good. I’m enjoying this knit so much and there is no hurry 😊😊😊
Wow, this is gorgeous! I didn't get the wings when they were introduced in clue 2, but not they make so much sense! Also the striped edging in this clue seemed weird at first, but when seeing the whole shawl it just works. Thanks for the amazing pattern and for making these thorough videos for us.

Oh my gosh I had a dream there'd be a striped border, I can't believe I was so close haha! My dream was way wild though... Asymmetrical and super long... Like a body length tail. Absolutely wild, distracting feature tbh, the given border is such more sensible!

I agree. I wasn't crazy about the wings. They seemed heavy somehow. Now I can see how they fit in and are not that prominent.
