    Just as a headsup. The open slot in the back of the ebl charger is so you can push out the battery from the back no paper clip needed. Otherwise great review! The Ebl needing to charge in pairs is a bummer when you have things like an electric shaver that takes off numbers of batteries.

      I use a smal flat plastic end to remove the battery at the top

    won't recommend a paperclip of metal, but the device has a slot behind, so you can push them out I think.

    How about looking into the PowerOWL more..? I understand when it finds a bad/shorted battery the light blinks red, is that a real sign of dispose the battery.. What about the EBL will it point out bad battery short or end of life I do own both, I just don't know what to trust...

    my powerowl charger did take forever to charge a set of 4 size D (big honkin FAT) amazonbasics batteries to to charge (About 5-6 hours)
