I was slandered by a female coworker who feared my competence and her constant gossip and false accusations of misbehaviour to our superior made me loose my job. I was deeply affected by those defamations and I wished she loose her position. She did the same thing to the guy who replaced me and he also lost his position a couple of years later. Then she was offered the position and accepted it although she had not the necessary competence. It was a complete disaster and she was fired within 6 months. I repent from wishing her bad things. Lord have mercy on us sinners. Kyrie eleison.
She was a sociopath.

I've heard this same story regarding St. Marcarios, only in that case, he never once defended himself and took some pretty harsh beatings.
I believe in the volumes of the Paradise of the Holy Fathers, this account and the account you mention are found in the same section.
I have to say when I talk too much even when its in the family or with brothers in Christ. Something happens to me suddenly my passions get stronger and the Attack is getting much bigger and then I fall into sin. Brothers in Christ be careful outthere and may our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us all.
