Saw would've ended pretty quickly, if Zep had decided to go to the hospital and reported Jigsaw to the police instead of kidnapping two innocent people and hoping that the well-know serial killer is nice enough to give the antidote

Saw X was an amazing movie and you can't tell me no different. It gives Kramer a more anti-hero vibe to him, making it feel like he's actually helping people atone for their actions. Diego survived his game by cutting through his arms, and Gabriela survived hers by breaking an arm and a leg. Kramer even told Amanda to take Gabby to the hospital. Kramer fixed Diego right up. I'm telling you, Kramer is a decent man outside of the demented games everyone play for their survival.

When Larry dropped the phone, he could’ve just used the hacksaw to reach for it. Instead, he uses a very small box to reach for it.
Neither he nor Adam even attempt to use the saws to cut through the pipes they’re chained to, which are old and rusted. I can’t promise it would work, but it’ll prove way more effective than trying to saw their way through a solid metal chain.
In the movie the saws would have broken before making a dent in the chain

@@Dragoonpyromantic i agree the rust would weaken the metal enough. The saw and chains are new so metal their strength is around the same but the pipes those should break using the saw against them
or after Gordon saws his foot off, shoot Adam’s chain so that he can carry Gordon out of the bathroom, probably take out Zepp, and boom they all survive and one of them doesn’t become jigsaw
The rusted pipes could have contained poisonous gas, killing them slowly and painfully.

Writers use that bullshit, convenience-created drug that makes you appear to be dead ALL THE FREAKING TIME. No such drug exists that can put you into an unconscious state while also eliminating your need to breathe, eat, drink, excrete or (in some plots) your need to have a fucking pulse.
It's just lazy story-writing when writers use that drug - it's a complete cop-out.

It's when good movies make their stories at least partially believable by avoiding impossible physicalities (such as how Firefly stays true to the 'no sound in space' truth rather than how other movies/shows do), by avoiding crappy effects such as low-level CGI or bad puppetry and finally by avoiding cliches such as this bullshit drug that apparently can make people "appear to be dead" - a completely impossible achievement and also a cliche now since so many stories use it as a plot point (sadly).

I did like Saw's initial story, before it got too fucked and started relying on misery and gore.
...seriously, watch the first Saw, it's not NEARLY as reliant on torture-porn or blood and guts. It was a straight up mystery thriller.

Jill tells Cecil that he has to wait till tomorrow to get his jacket from the health clinic.
She calls the police, and Cecil is arrested, Jill doesn't lose her baby, and Jigsaw never gets created.

The chains were tempered steel. The pipes would have been the best bet but who knows what they were holding: all the rotting could have meant water or steam.

I can't believe that the real jigsaw was able to maintain an absolute motionless state without Adam or Gordan noticing him breathing on the floor.
It is revealed in the sequels that John injected some tranquilizer stuff into his blood stream which would explain his motionless state. I've got no explanation for the breathing, though.
I guess when you're told someone's dead, in this situation you a. wouldn't really care enough to check because you're too busy worrying about your own life (and the fact that he was alive wasn't at-a-glance obvious) and b. if you see the body breathing will probably just think you're crazy because you've been stuck in such a horrific situation and it's turning you insane.
In saw 3 (I think) it's revealed he injected himself with an anesthetic that "slowed his heart rate and relaxed his muscles". The slower heart rate is what may have made his breathing less notiable, and relaxing his muscles basically means he won't suddenly have the urge to run a mile.
