Great vid! Never fished Ester before but got my first JDM rod recently(Bellezza UX 6'2 SUL) so intend to try it out with some Ester. Does ester require a flouro leader or did you do that because of the lemon color? If so what kind and lb of leader did you use here?
Hello , new subscriber here. I just ordered the 23 Shimano Vanquish 1000ssspg. I wanted to try this on my new reel. So I ordered it , it’s on its way. My question is will the 2.3 80m fill up the shallow spool Ok ? Was trying to avoid putting backing. Thank you!
I like the ES2 as well. I switched to it after using the red Ajing Master for a while. I think the red Ajing Master is a touch more sensitive, but I prefer the visibility of the Lemony color.
Do you use any backing for this? I see that the spools only come in 80m. Looking to purchase a vanquish c2000s for running this line, but wondering if I should go for the sss instead.
@@finesseanglers I'm more concerned with the casting distance. How much impact does it have on the casting distance compared to a full spool? Do you think a nylon backing will have a negative impact on the total performance of the ester line?
We spooled ours directly. We didn't have any issues with casting distance. Now if you wanted to use the nylon backing, my issue would be with the ester jumping off the spool. You're not going to want to fill the spool to the brim with ester. A little room goes a long way in managing the line. Ester cast a long way as it comes of the spool easily. Unless you need more than 80yds, I'd say spool it without the backing.

Yes, it does need a leader. Mono or Fluoro will suffice.

We don't believe it will.
Great video! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Have you put on one of the shallow advil spools on a baitcastor? Will it take the the 80yards or no? Thanks
Yes, we have avail spools. The 2.9mm and have no if issues spooling the Varivas Double Cross. Will place a link in the description. 👍

We are really liking the color as well!
Where to get in the states. Thanks

No backing. We've fished big fish and haven't seen the bottom of the spool once. 😉
