Look up Skyhooks - Australia's most popular band of the 1970's based on pure album sales. They exploded all sales and touring records and lasted just 4 albums before Shirl the lead singer left to become a TV host. He died in a chopper accident in 2001.
What a wordsmith Greg was. The more you listen, the more you get. I mean " I like your body, but gee I hate your face, when it gets dark come over to my place" I sure hopes he knows we now, if not then, appreciate his song words.
The Marryatville Hotel in Kensington SA, Feb1978, hanging off the rafters only 16 but never forget it. The songs from Guilty Until Proven Insane were unbelievable.
The Middle Hotel, Ferntree Gully, I think Shirl was referring to management at the time? People out that way, we were very enthusiastic about rock bands coming to the Middle or any place in the outer east of Melbourne,
it might be on iTunes/ The album it is on "Guilty Until proven Insane" has long sold out. It also contains the hit "Women In Uniform" . Worth checking out.
Thanks to Gordon, i discovered this song
Yup
Same
Its a shame it's not that popular. I only found this song because of Hotel Hell the show.
