  • Simply layering drumsamples doesn't give you the sound you want? Try this technique. Please listen to the recording (see link below) to compare for yourself (preferably on a system with bass/woofer).
    NOTE: FREE downloadable (lowpassed) kickdrumsample (SUB.wav) included in the link below, which you can load into your
    electribe SX and apply the technique!

    NOTE #1: I made the length of the kickdrum extremely long, so you can adjust the length using the decay-param to your liking.
    NOTE #2: the basic idea is to send your kickdrum + bassline to one lowpassed bus (e.g. fx3), and compress the other (highpassed) material in the other bus (e.g. fx2)

    In any case i find the comp pretty ok on this machine....
    Your trick is super.
    Im recording my esx track per track the easiest way (ah ah) : in Audiomulch software.
    Crazy. Pain.

    @leondustar great video's on the ESX. I have watched them all. I have to ask, where did you get those rotary knobs? I would love to do that upgrade to my ESX!
