Hey I bought the redtiger f5 after the review. How was ur experience so far?? Did you test any other dash cams?? I am not really satisfied with footage quality.
Yeah the video quality a bit noisy, but trust me it’s far better than others that are priced under ₹5,000. It definitely struggles in low light. However, during daylight it works well.
Where is the option to set current date and time , I only see the date format?

Sir, isn't the front camera position too high, is the area covered by vipers, if not when there's dust accumulation the camera might record hazy footage?
That’s a very valid point by you.
For my liking, the position is fine. In fact I’d have preferred to fix it right under the rear view mirror. But to answer your question, yes the wiper covers the glass area infront of the camera, hence there’s no problem of dust or dirt accumulating on that part.
Do you feel there is a need to buy the CPL filter for the camera, that Amazon recommends ?
Not really. As I said in the video, the sensor is tiny and it doesn’t allow a lot of light to go in which would over expose the video. Hence I have never felt the need to use CPL filter.
Hi brother, how is your Nexon ownership experience and engine reliability. Are you having petrol nexon? I am confused between brezza and Nexon.
I understand what's on your mind as I had thr same confusion when I bought the Nexon in Jan-2020. My confusion was worse as Brezza was available in Diesel and offered significantly better fuel economy while my Nexon is Petrol AMT..
Here's what helped finalize the Nexon:
1. Solid build. It feels like a mini tank for sure. The doors are nice and heavy and there's no part on the outer body which would go in if you press hard against it. Brezza had much lighter doors and didn't give that solid feel.
2. The suspension on the Nexon is very comfortable and the car just soaks up everything. Brezza has quite stiff suspension and the passengers feel tossed around mainly when you go over potholes and U-turns in city.
3. Space and Practicality is another aspect where Nexon feelt better. The seat cushion is really amazing for that price and even my 5year old daughter never complained even on 12 hour drives from Bangalore to Goa. The music system is probably the best in segment.
4. Finally the massive ground clearance of the nexon which makes it go over every possible bad/worse road and it can do mild offroading too.
What I didn't like in Nexon:
1. The headlamp. I changed to LED and now it's much better.
2. The engine doesn't feel refined when you revv it hard. For city and regular highway usage, it's just fine. It's only when you want to push it hard, that's when it gets noisy.
3. Initially the software of the infotainment system was very buggy. However, with thr recent updates it's works fine and doesn't freeze.
Else, I still find the Nexon to be a perfect family car in budget. It will do everything you want from it and will never complain . On highways it can return upto 19--19.5 kmpl with AC, if you are little gentle with the the accelerator pedal and drive upto 100 kmph. I get lesser coz I tend to drive fast.

Honestly I didn’t know there’s an under seat 12V socket as well in my 2019 Nexon. Thanks for letting me know about it buddy. I will check it out.

Absolutely. Nexon gets a 12V socket near the left headrest of the 2nd row. You can hook it up there.

Any reason why you did not mount behind the mirror at the centre? Is it due to space constraints?
There’s some spotted texture on the windshield behind the mirror, due to which the electrostatic sticker won’t fit properly. That’s the reason I had to install on side.
5:52 Is there a way to tuck in the wire or route differently, just before it enters charging compartment.
Yes, it can be routed behind the centre console that sits between the driver and passenger. However you’ll have to start from the charging port end and the proceed towards the camera (which is opposite of what I have shown in the video).

No. The recording starts as soon as you turn on your car, provided that the camera has power source connected via the 12V socket
If 6 airbags and curtain air bags are there then how can we install as the airbags are located on the a and b pillars??
This wouldn’t obstruct the airbags from deploying (god forbid) as the wire runs from the front side of the A pillar and the curtain airbags are deployed from the other side (touching the front quarter glass area). The wire won’t even need to go to the B pillar during installation.
Will it record in night when car is off? Pls tell
There’s a separate hardwiring kit that’s sold on Amazon. You need to get it installed instead of the stock wiring and the cam will record even when the car is off or standing in parking somewhere

is 64 gb enough? how long it runs?
@kshitijvyas7136 yeah you can use 64gb card. It will wipe off the previous videos when the memory is full and overwrite them with new recordings. It records multiple 3 minute videos and each video is of approximately 250MB in size.

Did you try to press and hold the power button on the camera for 3 seconds. That’s the method for factory reset.
Can I connect the cam directly to the android player?
Not sure. For that you will need to have the Android app plus it should have the capability to connect to the dashcam over WiFi. Once the connection is established, you can open the app on ur android device and see what the camera is recording

It would be just fine, the only thing is it will overwrite older files

I am not able to reconnect with the camera after changing the password through app!!! Any idea what to do?
Have you tried to do a factory reset? I know this will bring the default password back, but it’s giving a try until we sort out how to edit the password without getting locked out.
If you have used any special characters then don't enter it. Like @#$ . Ex if the entered password is Welcome@123 then enter the password as Welcome123.
a500s 70mai 2.5k has better clarity being an old release
Yeah I too got the same feedback from a few others. However, I was not looking to spend more than 5000 Rs.

Among others like Qubo and DDPAI, this performs much better in day light and the connectivity is extremely simple. The videos are quite crisp too. Only when it’s dark all these budget dash cams start struggling.
What about redtiger service..?
I am not very sure about that and it’s like a calculated risk. I know a few people using RedTiger dash cams for quite some time now and they have never faced any issues or glitches.
I am hoping I will have a similar experience.

@@anil_a13 The app interface is quite simple and straightforward. Best part is that it connects to the camera in no time and downloading the recorded file is very easy. The main reason I ordered this over the Qubo is the app connectivity and ease of use.

It’s mostly acceptable. In low light all these budget dash cams tend to suffer, but during day time they work just fine.
