Shane just a lil tip.. stop the takedown first before you try to take the back... you trying to take the back and haven’t fully stopped the takedown.. watch out for that.. you’re awesome 💪🏿
@GYPSY KING FURY Yh. He doesn't train as much anymore you can tell if you watch his videos from a few years ago he looked in much better shape and he looked stronger. Jeff Chan from MMA Shredded is a professional MMA fighter and is much more well versed in everything. I think his videos are more clear than fight tips.
Hey Shane I'm loving your content and it's helping me to improve but wondered if you could make a video discussing the best gum shields and how to mould them to your teeth, I've used a few and follow there instructions but they never fit tightly and feel like there going to fall out so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or just buying rubbish gum shields
Fairplay to you for putting yourself out there despite being new to wrestling. Trolls will be trolls, fuck em :) As a fellow long term striker, I also dislike wrestling and BJJ. Much more comfortable striking. But I want to learn more for sure! Good luck on your journey through the ground game 👊
I was losing weight while training MMA 2 years ago, never done much wrestling but we did some stuff very similar to what these guys are doing, I was spent, never felt the energy leave my body so fast!
Man what's the name of this guy drilling with Shane. He looks so advanced. Stuffed the takedown on the cage and when he didn't he reversed it into an advantageous position for himself
Oi shane my cousin is taller than me and I keep getting headlocked since that's pretty much the only thing he knows. I beat him in sparring but when we only wrestle I get f'd, so how do I escape from the headlock?
Tot0's phone Saka Well it started on the football pitch, I tried to resolve everything but he was ready to legit kill me. So he got a cheap shot on my face and I immediately got my guard up and went into my stance and evaded out of the way. I dodged a lot of his pathetic swings and threw some heavy hooks to the body whilst getting hit myself. I kicked his calves and kept jabbing his face until he started bleeding from the tooth (this was like 40 seconds into the fight) After he got me on the face with a couple of shit hooks with no technique (didn’t really hurt) But I got angry and took him down and started to elbow and pound him. He was finished bleeding and exhausted. But then his mates jumped me and the teachers split it up, but I survived!
Hey Shane l was wondering if a workout was good for losing weight, I call them half suicides because I couldn’t find a name for it and suicides were the closes thing to it, so basically what I do is I start at one end of my yard and sprint down to the other end, I then walk back so on and so forth, the way that I’m thinking is that it’s a mix of cardio and H.I.I.T because I go from 80%-100% and I get a small active break by walking, I started just last week and at first I couldn’t get past 8 minutes but I’ve added a minute a day and I’m up to 13 minutes tonight. I’ve also made it to where it’s fun for me by bringing a medicine ball into it and I would bring it down to one end, leave it, whenever I go back bring it to the other side and leave it there and repeating the process to pass the time. If you or anyone has any thoughts on this it would be much appreciated
I think it sounds like a great routine. Shuttle runs is what I call them. I generally do a range from 50-80% when doing shuttle runs. Not quite full sprints but faster than jogging. Kind of a gliding tempo.
I like those drills they're fun. I would suggest though for the first one, do actually punch your opponents. Nice and light but it makes more sense to actually feel for the strikes
That drill is designed to stop reactive takedowns. If the defender were to fully punch, there would be a split second where his hand would come back to his guard, and if the attacker shoots at that point, it would be easier for the defender to stop it. By constantly throwing little fake punches, his arms are away from his body for the majority of the time, decreasing the window of time during which his hands are close to his body. It's a great drill to learn how to stop reactive takedowns.
@@charlesbell5500 that's a really good point. I mean in terms of a real fight if you try to punch hard and the person shoots you'll need it but yeah maybe try both ways
@@youngwarrior9362 Yeah, in reality, if you fully commit to a punch and your opponent times a shot perfectly, it's almost impossible to stop. That's why GSP and DC always land their takedowns, they both use reactive takedowns. But it's still a good drill to get used to that feeling.

Not bad for a TKD guy, eh?
I've never seen my boy Shane look that uncomfortable. 😂

Glad my son had seven years of wrestling under his belt. Amateur wrestling is great for obviously mma and just for personal development.
That was awesome. I'd love to see a sparring between you 2 like in the juji mufu vid.
Thank you♥️
“We’re going light” he’s just making Shane look bad
@GYPSY KING FURY ehhh your right but for beginners he's a great gateway to lead them to martial arts

Don't get me I love ya Vince but where was Bubba
YES where's Bubba Jenkins?
Imagine fightips in the ufc .that would be cool
Thanks from France !
Shane how do i deal with fighters who don't cut their nails
Nail clippers.
Left hook right uppercut.
Take their back, isolate an arm, and pull out the nail clippers. Rinse and repeat
Pull out of the fight. Fighting someone with long nails could end with you losing your eye sight, and the fight.
First time i've seen the underdogs teaching Shane something, that takedown defense im sorry but that was hilarious
Great video!
Wrestling coach super
Nice sprawls Shane
Make a video with BABAK WRESTLING. Best UFC wrestling coach he has trained overeem, volkan ozdemir, anthony johnson and all of those guys
YEA SHANE, i remember asking you about this when you came to Elgin IL.
You did tell me you had videos ready
I look forward to using these drills

hi, can you show how to do it if the guy is heavier than you, like 30kg more?
One time this guy tried doing a double leg takedown but I managed to reverse it and put him in a guilitine 1:26 that’s the exact reverse I did
Oi shane my cousin is taller than me and I keep getting headlocked since that's pretty much the only thing he knows. I beat him in sparring but when we only wrestle I get f'd, so how do I escape from the headlock?
Watch Matt serras video on it. It's on youtube.
