Turning A Stock Wrangler JK Into A Trail-Rated 4x4 - Xtreme 4x4 S3, E6

- This is a first, when our team builds the same truck twice - the new popular 4-door Jeep Wrangler! In stage 1, we turn an already capable JK to an even better on & off road trail rig. Stage 2 - we go hardcore, bigger lift, axles, and more - to make this hot new Jeep a dedicated trail monster! Plus in our event of the week, we're off to Camp Jeep in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin where Jeepers from all over come to gush over their beloved vehicles!
Rip Jessi
Yolo this guy was my highschool shop teacher. I learned almost everything from Mr.J even how to slack off an sweep floors proper 🤗😎
I think 2.5/3 inch is the sweet spot for Jeeps. Anything higher is just nuts; you have to constantly tinker with the geometry.
Nah. Ive got an over all total lift of 12" on a Grand Cherokee and emergency corrections are very stable. A good understanding of physics, vehicle
dynamics and picking the correct parts is key to a successful and flexy build that dominates its terrain and the road.
@@station08 that’s a lot of lift for a zj. I had a 3” on my zj. Did you accumulate 12” or add on to existing lift?
@@station08 I have a WJ with a 3 inch lift with all the right parts and I found that it took a little time to tinker with the control arms to get it exactly right for safe on highway. Granted, I don't put suspensions on Jeeps all day long but I do know what I am doing and I didn't compromise on any components that needed upgraded/enhanced/replaced. It's not my everyday driver.
Miss Jesse combs she worked good with Ian on the show
Jeez, I feel old watching this, I remember it coming out as a brand new episode. RIP Jessi
Stop taking our Creator's name in vain.
@@bldlightpainting better? I wasn’t taking his name in vain. Calm down

Still miss Jesse
jessi was such a badass chick!!!R.i.p,gone but not forgotten!
And so many other useless people get to live.
I can feel the age in this video
Me too, after I got over the part of seeing / missing Jessi!! Some things I noticed were they were working under the Jeep without safety glasses and cut gloves.
@@kattcasel9730 But you did notice they used the "Safety squint" method which is the tried tested and true method of doing any work on a vehicle.
;D
@@brad214 Absolutely!!
They used those Mickey Thompson wheels on just about everything back then
It's a good looking wheel.
Well that explains why I can't find the Rev 111 fenders anywhere
Suzuki Italia no longer issues homologations and clearances for the older suzuki Jimny and samurai! (My Jimny is from 2001 I wanted to mount heavy-duty bumpers of the type in vogue in Australia and then a winch and a +5 set-up of springs and shock absorbers and suspension! and tires higher than the 205-70-15!) and for the laws of suzuki italy that no longer issues the clearances for the registration approvals of my 2001 suzuki Jimny 4x4 I even wanted to mount the arb blocks of the rear differential and front and the super reduced to the gearbox!
...GOOD ONE, STAY SAFE..
RIP Jessi Combs 💔
RIP Jessi Combs, gone too soon.
SWEET
I mess Jessie Combs she was a bad ass builder
R.I.p Jessi 😢
Seems like all this guy ever built were rock crawlers. Different vehicles/trucks but the same general build.
Poor jess is passed away dont know if you are aware of that she was the best RIP Jesse
I would love if you gave me those old tires!
The shelf life of those tires expired YEARS ago. This episode was aired on TV back in the early 2000s!
PP strong
Love u girl have a blessed new year when it come.....looking to see moer of peace
Jessi died in 2019.
she passed away 2 years ago bro
Whats the easiest and cheapest jeep to build? Thank you.
Xj for sure
Buying one that's already built.
Yj. Spring over lift is like 6”
THE MUN CHKIN STARTS TALKING AT 4:15
If it wasn't all about money some of these after market parts would come from the factory.
Nah. Penny pinching accounts are partially to blame. Scum sucking lawyers are who really stop this from being a factory item. I'm amazed they haven't gotten rid of the ability to remove the doors.
Boa tarde FIRST vai amém bom
Yeah get lockers, so it's a 4wd instead of a 2wd😄😄😉🤓😹😹👍
Shes so cute
Was😥 RIP Jesse

Gee, I thought Wranglers were already trail rated.....
They are for those shopping mall trails.
why put all that stuff on with a Dana 30 front just to take it all off to replace the axle? Smh should have started w/ a rubicon to begin with
They were showing what most people would do. Start with a small cheap lift, then upgrade to a larger one. Finally upgrade drive line. And its cheaper to upgrade just axles with lockers over buying a Rubicon. If you can source the right stuff. But I see where you are coming from.
They make do what they are given, most everyone can’t afford the rubicon, so they start with a lower trim level to show what anyone can do by themselves with the lower tier jeep
And stop calling it a truck" it's a Jeep 🙄
This video is squashed, distorted and very irritating to watch.
Horrible lift kit, get one that you will truly want to drive on the road like Carli suspension or icon or bds
Jeep is not my "cup of tea"
Mine either don't like them .
Okayy... ? 🥴😅
